We had to go to seafood buffet for our kids before we left to go home. This place is near my parents house so we decided to come. It is smaller than other buffet places but I loved the simplicity of it. I think the food overall was pretty good. My favorites were their crab cakes and crab legs. The crab legs were fresh, easy to remove the shell, good flavor. The crab cakes were slightly sweet but fried perfectly, had a great crunch. I couldn't stop eating them. The oyster Rockefeller was good as well, I just wish they were hotter than what they were. They have like a pool area and my daughter said there's a mermaid ! When I looked back, sure enough there's a mermaid lol. My daughter loves mermaid so she went to talk to her and she even gave her a necklace. She was so sweet and even asked if we wanted a picture before we left. They make you exit through the gift shop which is a good marketing tactic lol. We took our kids out for seafood and to see the mermaid! ‍ Unfortunately, we were seated in the back of the restaurant, so we couldn't really see the mermaid except when we walked in and when we were leaving. The food and service were top notch! Our waitress was wonderful with the kids and interacted with them throughout our meal. She was also very attentive and kept our table clean, taking away baskets and crab leg shells as we went. I'm only giving 3 stars because we felt it was extremely overpriced, especially for our 7-year-old. Paying $25+ for a child's meal felt like a lot for what was offered. Overall, it was a nice experience and the staff was great, but unfortunately, it's not somewhere we'll be back to. read more

This was such a fun experience! Waiters dressed as pirates and mermaids swimming in water, such a unique and cool dining experience. The price was reasonable for the atmosphere and buffet experience of all you can eat. The stuffed shrimp was delicious!! Friendly staff, great food, incredible decor and vibes. 10/10 recommend! The food was AMAZING! Especially the Cajun crab legs! They have so much food to choose from, land and sea options. Service was phenomenal! Wish I could remember the name of the waitress we had, because she was fantastic! Constantly checking on us and emptying our crab leg baskets. The atmosphere is great! We typically come here every year on vacation and this year we so much different as in better due to one change. They have a pirate now that greets people and makes all the kids feel special with rings, pirate booty, and gems. His hospitality to the guests as a whole made the dining experience so much more bc our grandkids and other kids dining there engaged and not bored after being there for 30 mins giving me time to eat endless crabs legs lol. I can NOT express how bad the food was here. Nothing was hot, everything was cooked far beyond being done. It was done 15-30 minutes before being taken out of oven, off grill or whatever method it was cooked. Maybe this was yesterday's food re-heated? This buffet was phenomenal--very clean with excellent service. The pirate on site was incredibly friendly and welcoming to every table, and he was especially playful and engaging with all the kids. There are a lot of seafood buffets in Myrtle Beach but Pirate's Table is one of the best. Hot fresh snow crab legs highlight the bar but there are so many other choices that's it's hard not to overeat. The place is clean and the service is always on point. They keep the table cleared of shells and keep the drinks filled The crawfish were fresh and easy to peel. The shrimp were huge. Crab legs were very good size so there's little waste. They have a nice salad bar and dessert bar as well. Not cheap but you're not going to find seafood that's both cheap and fresh on The Strand. read more

We were in town for Spring Break, a plane flew over the beach with the AYCE crab legs, the teens figured out what it meant and immediately wanted nothing but crab legs. It's a cute place with live mermaids when you walk in, sea shanties on the loudspeakers and pirate themed waitstaff. They are super friendly and don't make you feel rushed. Let's start by saying that I did not expect a quality seafood buffet in such a touristy town. Since they are on every corner in Myrtle Beach, I did my research to attempt to find the best one. We only visited the Pirates Table so can't exactly say, but I think we nailed it! The snow crab was awesome and every time I went back, they had it completely refilled. Half shell oysters, perfect. We arrived right at opening. The service was amazing. Our waitress was on top of refills and clearing the table of used plates. The bathrooms and bar were clean. The food was just about as good as every other seafood buffet at the price point. I didn't notice much of a difference compared to others I have been to. Nothing was amazing but I don't really expect that at a buffet. I enjoyed the crab legs and the rest of my party said they were good as well. They did not enjoy the rest of the buffet food as much. I liked the ambiance overall. The mermaid tank was an interesting touch and the roaming pirate was fun, if a bit over the top. I didn't love having to think about tipping everyone. This place never disappoints with their service, food, and ambiance. The one thing I do wish is if they could change up some of the buffet items every so often, but obviously keep the crab legs ! Wow! What a fun Buffet! The pirate theme alone is worth the trip. Lol. As of right now it's $48.99 a person which seems to be average for all the buffets on the strip. Definitely worth it for all you can eat crab legs. The carved to order prime rib was so flavorful. We are happy happy customers. Will definitely be back! read more

Right off the bat, there's ALOT going on haha. They are really true to the pirate theme. The mermaids are neat and the staff stated they will be your "pirate" for the evening--which is cool. The buffet is smaller than we imagined-as compared to The Giant Crab or Benjamins BUT the crab was cooked to absolute perfection. We didn't have to fight for any meat at all and it wasn't overdone whatsoever. The deserts were hit and miss--the chocolate covered strawberries were soggy and the chocolate was flimsy on the Outside, the chocolate cake was SUPER dry, the watermelon had gotten warm and grainy but the dirt pudding was good and my husband raved over the pecan pie. For the money, we expected much more of a selection but we will probably return with our daughter for the experience. read more
