Great food. My dine-in service was exemplary. My ability to have room service was nonexistent. It's a great thing that my server was so kind and friendly. And that I was able to be seated and served immediately. The food 5/5 stars no doubt. Plating presentation was just beautiful. The steak was cooked to my request, very tender & flavorful. The potatoes were a nice mixture of crisp and soft. The scrambled eggs and the mimosa were as expected-no complaints there! As you can see the views from the dining patio are gorgeous and on one hand, I am grateful that the room service let me down so that I could truly appreciate such beautiful views while eating a delicious, hot breakfast. On the other hand, it was disappointing that I could not enjoy my breakfast from the room because no one answered the phone for at least the first hour and a half of my morning until I decided to go check out the restaurant in person. 4 stars. 2 for the great food (and views), 2 for the kind waiter and his excellent service. I wish I could give 5 stars but some serious improvement needs to be made on the customer service side in terms of room service. read more

Amazing mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked asparagus, crunchy and not stringy, just like the way I would cook it. The 22oz bone in ribeye was tasty but the knife was dull and it had too much gristle. My friends had the salmon which they said was excellent and another friend has the lobster risotto that she enjoyed as well. I wanted to send the ribeye back but didn't want to create a fuss. Brussel sprouts were really good, nicely browned and crunchy. Service was excellent and the ambiance was nice and quiet. The staff were super friendly and polite. Staying at the Resort so we figured we would try out Willows for dinner. We were greeted and seated immediately. The restaurant was empty. Anthony was our waiter and he was great. He had advised us immediately that they were out of Flat Bread to make the artichoke or cured meat Flatbread. And they were also out of Ribeyes. It's only Monday! I ordered the Beet Salad and my Husband ordered the Cesar Salad. We ordered the Meat balls as well We waited about a half hour for our food. Both of our salads were good. Portion size is average. But the meatballs were not something we would order again. They were like rubber, and not very flavorful. Very disappointing. Waze led us to the parking lot across the street, but the restaurant is in the Poco Diablo resort with a small sign outside. It's new so be patient. Firecracker shrimp wraps (5/5) are a bit spicy (hence the name) but delicious and perfectly cooked. There were four big shrimps even though the photo looks like there's three. Brussels sprouts (4/5) we got based on another yelper's recommendation, but it wasn't the greatest ever. Not soggy but not crispy either. Apple and bacon was a good flavor combination. This is a 'side' as opposed to a small plate, so it is a smaller portion. Ahi tuna tacos (4/5) almost got me and the Mrs into an argument. I thought they needed some missing ingredient and she thought they were perfect as prepared. Just salt (I borrowed a bacon bit from the Brussels sprouts) improved the flavor balance. Including a line wedge on the side for optional use would have made us both happy. Flourless chocolate torte (5/5) was amazingly rich. No espresso machine (yet) but coffee was good with it. Too bad this place got off to a rough start with some unforgiving reviews; one lady didn't like the service and even after they comped all the meals for her whole family she still gave them one star. Willows was our best meal we had in Sedona during our three-day stay. Wish we had found it earlier as it was uncrowded at 6:30pm even during a busy holiday week. It's on OpenTable as well. read more

Ambiance and service are great but not sure how I feel about my Firecracker Shrimp coming out with unwashed lettuce with dirt! Also, the server gave us a 25% "birthday" discount to make up for the dirt on the lettuce, but regardless it's still a bit concerning that basic food safety measures weren't taken. (E.g. thoroughly washing all vegetables before serving) Makes me wonder if they wash any of their fruits and vegetables before serving. read more

I loved the view of the patio while we enjoyed brunch. Mr. Mario was very kind and thoughtful when serving us and informed us that someone had called out last minute. We waiting 20 minutes for someone to take our drink and food order. We waited an additional 30 minutes to get our food. No refills were provided and the food was very basic and left a lot to be desired and for 20-25 dollars for breakfast food per plate I expected more. I am disturbed. I first ordered a steak medium. It came out charred but also freezing. I send it back and they give me a fully raw steak. I cannot eat that. Came for breakfast because we were staying at Poco Diablo. It seems like they are still working out some kinks with there servers, like figuring out who has which tables. We had to go ask for our check, we couldn't find our server, she seems to be the only one working with a lot of staff just standing around. 7.00pm - We are seated for dinner. 7.10pm - Our waiter comes by to take our order. Assures me that the appetizer we ordered, including the corn fritters, are vegetarian.He is totally unfamiliar with the dinner menu (note: there are NO vegetarian options on the dinner entree menu), so has to go to the kitchen to confirm/ask. We are finally able to place our drink and food orders - including meals for my 2- and 6-year olds. 7.20pm - I notice a glass of prosecco sitting on the bar, about 4 feet away. 7.30pm - No food or drinks have been brought to the table. I look for the waiter to ask for a status update. 7.35pm - I make eye contact with the waiter and he comes by and asks how things are going. Nothing is going. I ask about the wine and food. He says it's on its way. 7.40pm - That glass of prosecco finally makes it's 4 foot long journey over. I ask about my husband's red wine and am assured that it's on it's way. 7.50pm - Half of our order is delivered, including aforementioned corn fritters, excluding my 2-year old's dinner. 7.55pm - We realize that the corn fritters contain bacon. 7.56pm - Seeing no sign of our waiter, I ask to speak to a manager. 7.58pm - Nikki comes by and hears our concerns and assures me that she will get my Mother-in-Law and 2-year old's entrees out asap, as well as my husband's wine. 8.10pm - My 2-year old's entree arrives - exactly 1 hour after the order was placed and after she was both exhausted and full of hard/possibly stale bread from the bread and butters appetizer. 8.20pm - Nikki comes by with a bill, comp-ing the entire meal except for the 2 drinks. We tipped 100%. While we appreciate the gesture, it was a very poor experience and we very much do not recommend dining at Willows. read more

Went to Willows Kitchen and Wine Bar for lunch. We were told there is a 15 minute wait for just the 2 of us so we waited since we're staying at the resort. Got seated and noticed only 6 tables occupied. We ordered immediately after being served water. After we placed our order we waited over an 1 hour for our lunch. We saw the table next to us get served and finished. The host noticed we were waiting a long time and came by to refill our water glasses and asked how they were treating us. I said it feels like we're being ignored. The host came back with some bread and apologized for the wait. Waited another 15 minutes and still being ignored. We decided to walk out after 1-1/2 hrs waiting for LUNCH! Who waits 1-1/2 hrs for lunch? While walking out we didn't see anyone even the host to express our displeasure. The restaurant is a part of a golf course/resort. The atmosphere reminds me of a tired 80's banquet facility. The bartender is the first person you see. This bartender did not look up at our party of 4. Then i over hear a woman at the bar declare, "if your woke, your broke". Uh oh. We hung out for a minute then a person from the waitstaff said, go to the podium. K, what? We walked out into a large space (empty) with a tiny podium, no sign, no host staff or information.
