Their donuts are delish. Not a big store, but enough to cover basic needs. Friendly people.

Well, here we go again. Yes, I went to Eddie F's again today and this time took my wife. She had…read morethe Fish & Chips and I had the Grilled Haddock. I'm more attracted to non-fried food so the Grilled Haddock was right up my alley. This time I had that with the side order of baked beans and macaroni salad. Again I was not disappointed. My wife gave me the thumbs up on her food also. So I guess I did good. I read the review about the cleanliness. Let me say this, this place is clean. I'm sure they have food inspectors that come in and if it was not able to pass, it would not be open. On the other review which they gave one star, I don't know when this individual called in an order but must understand that you only have a certain amount of people working, trying to please their customers so you have to give them a break. Obviously they don't want to lose customers. If it is a certain time when people are calling in phone orders and coming inside for take out, things happen. Nobody is perfect unless you walk on water. I have been telling a lot of people about this place. Thank God I'm retired and can go there anytime I want. Now I don't have to make seafood at home anymore. The only thing I'll continue making at home is the baked Salmon. Going two days in a row, I guess I'm trying to make up lost time since he has opened up. I'm good with that for sure!

The haddock was absolutely amazing -- cooked perfectly and easily the star of the meal. The thin onion rings were really good too! The mac salad was just okay and could use a little work, but honestly, the fish more than made up for it. The prices are well worth it for the quality, so don't miss this place! Our waitress was wonderful, attentive, and made the experience even better. Tedie and I had a great time, really enjoyed our meal, and we'll definitely be coming back next year. A great local find!

My wife and I have dined there many times now! The owner Gail, her daughter Julie and the chef, Nate are great people. Warm and friendly. The restaurant/bar is warm and cozy with a big fireplace on the far wall - always roaring in the winter. Great place to grab a drink and a few appetizers after doing some of the local hikes. If you can make it for dinner - do it!!! They "regular" menu features thick burgers, Fried Haddock Fish Fry, Clam or scallop baskets etc. Their rotating specials are always fantastic - alway cooked well, spiced perfectly and nice portions! They often have meatloaf, pork or chicken parmesan, smoked ribs, beef stroganoff and other great dishes. If you do go and they have their NY Strip Steak on the menu - you are blessed. I have had steaks in Chicago, London, NYC, Dallas - lots of places. I can honestly say the the steak at PLI is in my top 3. It's shockingly good!!! Nate (Chef) told me they source their steaks from a local source and are aged, hand sorted and cut. Also, Julia has started to introduce many new cocktails. Where else do you find a Fall Maple Old-Fashioned, Moscow Mule, Loaded Bloody Mary or Harvest Margarita in the Southern Adirondack Mountains!?!?

Crabcakes phenomenal and a restaurant where you can go in and buy fresh fish right from the counter definitely makes it one of a kind. let's just say it was so good when they said it in front of us I didn't take any pictures because I was more interested in eating. service is amazing but then again the owner was the one that was serving us, And just the inside of it is a quaint looking restaurant a very very clean restroom. Well, at least we kept our word today when we ordered their two different bowls for takeout. My wife ordered the Fishbowl ($30) with the grilled fish of the day (salmon), cherry tomatoes, quinoa, feta, peaches, arugula, and basil lime vinaigrette (she said no to onions). She could not get over how tasty the quinoa tasted and wondered how they prepared it. She also thought the peaches could have been a little sweeter since we are in prime peach season. While the salmon was just slightly overcooked we'll attribute that to it continuing to cook as we drove the meals home. Even with those minor negatives, she said she would definitely order the dish again. I chose the Poke Bowl ($35) for my meal (my first ever poke bowl) with marinated raw tuna and salmon, edamame, cucumber, watermelon radish, snap peas, nori, avocado, sesame seeds, scallions, and pea tendrils, all over sushi rice with ginger gochugaru oil and soy sauce on the side. This was absolutely delicious. It was a wonderful blend of fresh flavors and textures. If I have another poke bowl somewhere else I only hope it can come close to measuring up to the enjoyment I experienced with this one.

A fairly short drive brought me to this little seafood shack; it is located in what seemed to be a kind of out of the way neighborhood. From the outside it looks charming, just a nice New England hang out; inside is even better with 2 compact dining rooms decorated with a nautical theme and a metal roof. When I arrived at about 6 on a Friday night the place was almost full with a couple of larger parties enjoying themselves. The menu is great for me since it is almost exclusively fish and seafood, with a good selection of preparations; even better there was another page of specials that are a bit more upscale. Since I was hungry and just wanted to keep it simple I choose the all you can eat fish fry off the menu. Considering how busy the restaurant was my meal came out in about 10 minutes. A nice basket with 4 fish fillets, fries and coleslaw. The highlight was clearly the fish with perfectly cooked moist white fish in a great batter with just enough spices to perk the fish up. The fish was so good that I actually finished the 4 fillets and then got 2 more. The fries were very thin cut and crispy. The coleslaw is what you would expect, good but nothing special. I was very impressed with Adirondack Seafood, the fish was excellent and the sides were good. The price was reasonable and the portions were generous. Service was good and the atmosphere is charming and fun. I would strongly recommend giving them a try. About the only downside is that outside of fish and seafood there are not a lot of choices; not an issue for a pescetarian like me but could be an issue for those who are serious carnivores.
