Came her for a tasty burger but instead got a pre-maid frozen patty. I DO NOT recommend it. When I asked the waitress if these weren't homemade but frozen she looked at me strait in the face and lied. I'm from Texas and huge meat eater, I already knew. We found the butterfly grille while house hunting located on a beautiful golf course in Nipomo CA. Looking at the menu I ordered the standard haystack which comes with pancakes, eggs sausage or bacon. I ordered it with sausage. Our food arrived and on the plate was sausage patties I asked for links the server said they do not have them just the patties. After that it went down hill . I had to flag down a server to refill my coffee for the first time and she never came back to check on us to see how are meal was. We had fished our meal when our server finally arrived with a coiffed pot and said can I too that off?. I said no someone already had and asked for the bill. They do a good job at breakfast, and their Monday evening 5-7 pm $5 taco special (2 hard shell beef tacos with rice and beans). Drinks are pretty affordable, and food is well prepared for dine in or to go. Staff is always friendly. read more

Thanks for the reminder yelp to review this place for some reason I forgot. Our server number was 751 don't remember her name but she was very good and attentive. So I pick this place because most of the girls in the group there were three others had never been here before. Excellent menu so much to pick from it was hard. We talked and talked and talked paid our bill talk some more and then order dessert. I would definitely come back again for lunch maybe even breakfast. Just tried the Pulled Pork Sliders. Insert firework show. Magical. Incredible melt-in-your-mouth pork on some toasted and soft brioche commingling with a delicate Chipotle coleslaw. I gave this place a shot way back when because my boys get a little "hangry" after playing First Tee (golf lessons and character development program for kiddos) here at Monarch Dunes and the Grille is here to help. Food is tasty, service is friendly, and it's usually quiet. Amy is always working and she is very personable and helpful. Try the basket of french fries to share with your friends. The onion rings are also good. The coleslaw is made on sight and the menu has lots to choose from as far as entrees are concerned. Great 19th hole ambience. The pro shop is also connected to the restaurant and they seem to have the latest equipment and all the top brands are represented. I wish they had local golfwear juggernaut Straight Down represented but I'm sure they'll make a deal soon. Service was friendly and welcoming. read more

We used to love dining at the Butterfly Grille but we've noticed that the food is not as good as it used to be. We shared a quesadilla and the amount of chicken was minimal. There was chicken in one quarter but there were only a few pieces of finely diced chicken in the middle of the other 3 pieces. It was mostly cheese. We ordered take-out or else we would have mentioned it to the server. read more

A little hard to find but alas discovered that patio overlooks Monarch Golf Course at Trilogy. Although I don't live there, they kindly cater to the public, and service was friendly and lunch was pretty tasty. I had the grilled mahi-mahi burger on brioche with beer battered fries which hit the spot! The large Arnold Palmer in the paper soda cup was very weak so I don't recommend that, but otherwise good overall experience and a great find. read more

We eat here a lot. Because we live in Trilogy, it's convenient. We enjoy eating on the deck outside. The service is usually very good. Our favorites are probably the grilled chicken salad and roast beef sandwich. It's a much more pleasant experience than Adelina's. read more

Okay, I've already had breakfast here twice. I'd rather pay a little more and get a better meal up at the clubhouse (Adeline's). The breakfast food was okaayyy...The "over medium" eggs were very runny both times. The coffee came with it's own dead moth. The bacon was good - thick cut! The scrambled eggs are from one of those big bags of "scrambled egg product" that you'll encounter at cheap buffets. Not cool. Still, their sandwiches and salads are fantastic. I thought I left a review before, but was mistaken. Anyway better late than never. The food and service here are great. All the servers are fast, friendly and helpful. Tonight we had Craig, and he has a great sense of humor while being a great server. That being said, I have to say ALL the servers are great. I usually get a tuna melt, one of the best ever. But, the daily specials can be really good. I have also really enjoyed the fish and chips. My wife loves the dinner salads. Don't forget the 805 on draft. Had lunch here. Very pleasant staff answering all our questions with a cheerful attitude. Had the Southwest Chicken salad served Cobb style which I love so you can see every ingredient and mix as you want. Chicken was super flavorful and moist. Hubs had the grilled tuna on sourdough. Decent golf course food, great view...if on the outside patio. Eaten here a couple of times. Taco night was a zoo, so many people and a long wait for mediocre tacos.
