Love love love the atmosphere and decor! Very family friendly. The food is so good-the brisket was to die for and the chicken avocado sandwich was SO good. Also had the Italian crème cake and the icing was perfection. Customer service was above and beyond expectations. Definitely recommend stopping here for a friendly fun atmosphere and great food!

Buffalo Chicken Sandwich on a hoagie bun! Big portions and wat too many fries. I highly recommend this establishment!

Freash made Great Food and great Service. The interior decorations were all kinds of Racing Cars and old time Signs!

What can you truly say about this place? The decor is a throwback feel to old diner style eating. You truly have some of the nicest and attentive work staff serving you while you are there. They have a buffet on Sunday now. You can get breakfast or lunch buffet style. So far, they have changed up what they serve every Sunday. When it comes to the food, it's neither good nor bad. I really liked the coleslaw. That tasted freshly prepared. The buffet warmer definitely works and almost burned plenty of fingertips while I was there. All in all, you have an all you can eat situation on a Sunday that includes unlimited drinks and one dessert. I can not speak about the taste or quality of any of the food items on the menu. Come try them out.

This place is AMAZING!!!! All the staff are so kind, outgoing, and most of all, respectful!! I just got the breakfast platter of pancakes, and the pancakes were HUGE!! At least a 10 inch diameter on each pancake!! I highly recommend Pit Row Pit Stop to everybody!! Hope to be coming back soon!!

Hard to rate this place accurately. There's a lot to like here but there were also some misses. Went with 4 stars because of the service. The 3 meat plate. - Excellent ribs. Good sausage, the brisket was dry. In hindsight, stick to the ribs. They are really good. Sides were good as well. The burger was homemade and mostly good except the meat was overcooked. Onion rings were fabulous. Service was outstanding. The waitresses really hustle and they are nice. They need to do something about the flies. I know it's hot outside and difficult to control but it's not a good look when patrons are constantly waving at their plates to shoo away flies.

The service was absolutely amazing our server was Jaden and she did and awesome job she served well and the food was spectacular this is on my go to list

We used to live in Livingston and the Whistle Stop was always one of our favorite places for lunch…read more We moved out of town so we were so glad to be able to take the short trip to Livingston and stop at the Whistle Stop for lunch. The food and service did not disappoint us. Our waitress was very efficient and friendly. We ordered a Club Sandwich with sweet potato fries and a BLT with one trip to the salad bar. Both were tasty and we left them with clean plates. The coffee was hot and fresh and our waitress continued to refill them throughout the meal. Restaurant was clean as were the rest rooms. Vintage decor and pictures give the place an old fashioned appearance. We will certainly return when we can and highly recommend it when you are in town.

Breakfast buffet was mediocre at best, ruben sandwich was ok, but nothing special. Fried chicken salad was a chicken breast that had zero seasoning, just floured and fried, on a bed of warm chopped lettuce with a few wisps of carrots. Breakfast ordered ala cart, grand kid loved the pancakes, but scrambled eggs were watery, and bacon he ordered never arrived. Our food was dropped off along with the check, and a thank you, a refresh of drinks, or just checking back in with us never happened. It was like our server just disappeared. They have replaced the carpet and painted since our last visit, but it doesn't make up for the mediocre food. Not sure we'll make another visit.

They warm up the table with this amazing cornbread & hot rolls Today I had the fried catfish with fries and coleslaw. It was deliciously light & flaky but so filling I only ate 1 filet. The coleslaw was the best I've ever had! Ever! And I don't normally eat/like hush puppies but I always try and thumbs up; different from what I've tried in years past. My husband had the chicken fried steak with okra & mashed potatoes which I got a 'it was good' response which really means... he ate all of it with no complaints. Lol very rare to get a 'fantastic' or 'delicious' outta him. There are no booths, which is my preferred dining experience but we're not here for the comfort! The table was a little wobbly but I didn't care, I love staring at the pie shelf while dining! Nicely country style decorum. Great food delivered quickly with a smile! prices are inline with the quality/quantity! Thank you! Happy New Year!

The banana was all brown and the coconut time was so thick and not good at all. I will go back if I visited the town again

I finally made it out to Blue Duck Kitchen & Bar and honestly, it exceeded every expectation I had…read more This isn't just another local restaurant -- it's the kind of place that makes you genuinely look forward to going out to eat. Right from the start, the atmosphere hit the perfect balance: lively and inviting but not overwhelming. Whether you're heading there for a casual dinner, drinks with friends, or a date night, it feels comfortable and relaxed without ever feeling generic. The décor and layout are thoughtful -- not flashy, but definitely memorable. The menu? Outstanding. Every dish I tried was clearly prepared with real skill, not just thrown together. The flavors were bold without being heavy, fresh without being confusing, and absolutely balanced. I started with an appetizer that was creative and flavorful, and each course that followed kept building on that good first impression. Portions were generous, too -- plenty of food without feeling like you're overstuffed. What really sold me was how every plate tasted intentional. You can tell the kitchen cares about the details -- the way flavors layered, the way textures played off each other, and even how each dish looked when it was served. That kind of consistency is rare, even at places that think they're fine dining. Service was equally impressive. Our server wasn't just friendly, they were attentive without hovering, knew the menu well, and offered recommendations that genuinely improved our meal. It's always nice when staff can talk about food like they actually enjoy it themselves -- it makes the whole experience feel a lot more personal. I left feeling completely satisfied -- not just because the food was great, but because the entire evening felt thoughtful from start to finish. If you want a place in Livingston that combines quality food, a great vibe, and service that actually elevates the experience, Blue Duck Kitchen & Bar is absolutely worth your time. Five stars well earned -- I'll definitely be returning.

They are dense and chewy cookies (my favorite type!) and also thick. :D Biscoff cookie (4.5/5)-- this one made me a fan! The cookie was sweet with pockets of Biscoff spread inside. Great for any Biscoff lover! The quality control isn't the best though, as the second time I had the cookie, it was dry and crumbly. If the cookie is usually dry like that, it would be more of a 3/5. I would risk another try though! Cookies and cream (4/5)-- this one was a good cookie too, capturing all the essence of an Oreo flavor. It didn't stand out in uniqueness but it was yummy :) this one was a little harder and crumblier than the Biscoff cookie, but now I wonder if it was just old or dried out... Pistachio brittle/toffee cookie (3/5)-- wasn't a fan of this one, as the taste was a bit off (either a little bitter or maybe artificial tasting?) and the brittle chunks were super hard, super sweet , and super sticky (like butterfinger filling but less melty!). The chunks were tasty (and veryyy sweet), but I had to pick them out and eat the separately since it didn't pair well with the cookie texture for me. MT says the service has always been nice, and they seemed really happy when he bought whole load of cookies, hehe~ Katie's Cafe is one of the go-to spots for his lunches out there!
