These people are not trustwothy. I gave Cisco $10,000 to rebuild the engine in my Jeep. And also to replace the driveshaft and other work. He wanted the money upfront, and I gave it to him. This was in November 2023. It has been five months and he has not done any repairs at all. Not even started. He tells me he has no money and took my deposit to pay other bills. He does not have money now to send my engine to the rebuilder. Now I am out $10,000 and my Jeep. Live and learn. read more

I inquired if they could change it for me as it was burnt out and I knew they installed batteries and wiper blades. They informed me that they could not. I have had my car serviced before by Pit Stop, the owner Francisco Chapa has always done a great job and has never over priced me. Over the past few months I have taken my car in to get a light bulb changed or something small. Francisco (owner) would say to me," You have to look at this... You need to fix this." I would just tell him not to worry God would get me to my destination safely. A month ago I went to Francisco again for something minor. Francisco noticed that both of my front tires were bald. This is a small family-owned business, and I really believe in taking my car to small local businesses. I have been taking my cars there for oil changes for the last 8 months or so. The last time I went in, I had a nice talk to the owner and I'm impressed by his determination to grow his business and reinvest his profits back into his facility to make it better. Their deal of $19.95 per oil change brought me in, but I'll keep going back because they do a full inspection of the car and make recommendations based on your mileage and their observations. I have been a regular and loyal customer of Pit Stop Auto Repair since they opened. No more. I took my Chevy Blazer in there on March 1st for front end work. I was told that it needed inner and outer tie rod ends, four new ball joints and an idler arm replacement. Of all this, the ball joints are the most important and make up the lion's share of the bill. We agreed on a price of $900 cash to perform all of this work. I picked it up the next afternoon after they called me to tell me that it was all done, and took it immediately to Firestone for an alignment, which was another $97. They have a good reputation and they do good alignments. This was the day that Pit Stop changed ownership. Upon completion of the alignment, the Firestone technician told me that the alignment wouldn't be all that accurate because all of my ball joints were shot! I immediately called back Pit Stop and talked to the owner and he looked on his computer and said, yes, that he charged me for labor to put in the new ball joints but they were not included on his parts purchase so they were not installed. A little side comment here...maybe this was an honest oversight. But maybe it was deliberate cheating the customer, whereupon they pad the bill with expensive labor but don't buy parts that they have no intention of installing anyway. I don't know, but I am suspicious. So Pit Stop told me that I had to go to the auto parts store and pick up the ball joints at my expense! They magnanimously allowed me to purchase the ball joints using their auto repair shop discount at the auto parts store. Another $56 and change. I knew I would need another alignment and Francisco, the Pit Stop owner, assured me that he knew the Firestone people and that he would get them to take care of it. After all, I got my original alignment on the good faith information and belief that all of the originally agreed upon service had been performed, and this was clearly Pit Stop's error. After several subsequent conversations during which they agreed to the accuracy of all the facts, they adamantly refused to cover the alignment. So this will cost me another $97. So here's what I think. At worst, this is cheating, gouging establishment. At best, they are so lacking in business integrity that they don't have the backbone to stand behind their work and take care of their mistakes, so their problems become the customer's problems. Either way, stay away. read more

My first experience with Pit Stop was I used a Groupon for a $19 oil change and tire rotation. You can't do an oil change that cheap of you were to do it yourself!! If I could give negative stars I would!!! Francesco took advantage of my mother (a senior citizen)-while her car was in for service- over 3 weeks to replace a catalytic converter- they used the car to run errands racking up $190 in unpaid tolls- which we paid to avoid further issue- while they were using my mothers car- they gave her a "loaner" which died in my driveway- they never came to get it- so I needed it towed away- an amazing amount of trouble- when we tried to collect the toll money- the owner was never in! Used Groupon for oil change and they put in the wrong oil filter which caused all the oil to leak by the time I got home. They changed the oil again but would not even provide me with transportation back to their location. They told me they mistook my 4runner for a Rav4 which in my opinion is hard to do even for a novice mechanic. In order to compensate me for the engine damage from driving without oil for a time the owner, Francisco, told me that I was free to sue him and then offered me one free oil change instead. I can't say enough good things about this place and the way they do business. I was stuck in bad situation with a dead battery last week and was under time constraints. The battery was really full of corrosion and very hard to change. This company was called and they were there in less than 10 minutes. In another 10 minutes he had the battery changed. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. I've taken my vehicle to Pit Stop a few times over the last 6-8 months for some routine repairs and maintenance. I kid you not, I had to take it back EVERY time because it wasn't done right or the parts were bad. I kept bringing my car back because Francisco was cutting me a deal on pricing so I thought he was a good guy. He may be a nice guy but him and his staff definitely don't know what they're doing. I brought my car there for a tune up about a month ago. After I got it back it was running horrible! So of course I brought it back and Francisco claimed that one of the plugs wasn't gauged right. After he "fixed it" the car still wasn't running right. Thank goodness I have a good friend who knows a transmission specialist. I took my car to him and he said that whoever did my tune up used the wrong plugs which was sending a bad signal to my transmission which burnt out a censor. He rebuilt my transmission, re-did the tune up and replaced the censor that was damaged because of the lousy job Francisco and his team did. I wouldn't even trust them with an oil change. They probably use old/used oil!!! read more
