I actually visited twice today -- first for my girlfriend's car (she recommended this place), and then later for my own oil change because the service was just that good. From start to finish, everyone was friendly, courteous, and professional. Nina took the time to explain everything clearly as the oil change was being done, and even provided multiple pricing options so I never felt pressured or taken advantage of. Nothing has been done about my claim. My First review they stated issue was resolved. Not true! Called claimed department three times. Owner or district manager (different story each time) is to call me, nothing yet. The store manager is terrible. Bullied and seriously badmouthed our trusted mechanic that saved my car. Obviously they do not want to take responsibility for their negligence in Extremely adding way to much oil to my engine causing much damage to my engine. I went in for an oil change and against my better judgement I agreed to a radiator fluid replacement. In less than 24 hours my radiator was spewing fluid all over the place and ended up stranded 50 miles from home having to get towed. When I talked to the assistant manager and the manager they denied everything and said that there is no way it was them. In actuality my radiator needed to be flushed twice because of the bad smell. Then a hand shrug and a "these things happen". The worst customer service at any oil change place and that says something. From the reviews it looks like I'm not the first to get their car damaged from these people. STAY AWAY!!! read more

Valvoline has always been super friendly. They have great customer service skills and make our 15 minutes there pleasurable. Nina specifically has always made us feel heard if we have any questions. She continuously speaks to both me and my partner instead of just the person in the driver seat. She informs us of any information we need. Recommend them for a quick easy oil change! read more

I'm a returning customer who went in to get a low tire filled and a complimentary top-off on fluids. The car's battery seemed low due to a sluggish start, so I asked them to check it. They checked it and had me run the car for about 10 minutes, then told me the battery was bad. They quickly replaced it and to my surprise, there was no charge, as it was still under warranty because I'd purchased the battery there. They honored the warranty without me even asking about it, in all honesty, I'd forgotten where I got it and what the warranty covered. Throughout the process, they were pleasant and efficient, but most importantly, they were honest and caring. I plan to keep going to this Valvoline location. Great job! Kudos to the staff and management. read more

I have used Valvoline in other locations, but was very disappointed in the customer service at the Batavia, Il. Location. Waited 25 minutes at the stop sign for service and was never acknowledged. I bring 5 cars regularly for service and will never again rely on valvoline for my car service needs. read more

Outstanding! Usually I do all my own oil/filter changes but decided to take my Mother's old Volvo here for a oil change....very glad I did. You drive up, they guide you in and sit in your car while they take care of everything. From checking your coolant, washer fluid, tire pressure, etc., they do a fantastic job!!! I wasn't expecting they'd have a oil filter for a older vehicle but they did! Such a friendly staff and attentive, asking if I had any questions and if there was anything else they could do. I wish I could remember the girls name, believe she maybe the manager, but she went above and beyond! A few months after the oil change my moms "check engine" light came on so I thought I'd take it back here. Without question or waiting they read the code and told me what the possible problem maybe. Used to love the store I used back in ABQ so I figured let's give it a try. This location is a Solid store! Employees do a great job of explaining what is recommended vs what is needed. It's a pleasure to deal with people who are good at their job and get customer service right. Although this is the closest location and a 30 min drive I will be back. Please put a shop closer to the Oswego area. read more

I've been going to this Valvoline since moving to Batavia 4 years ago. Honestly, this is one of the better oil change places around. The crew that works there is incredibly efficient as well as being upfront and honest. Needed headlights for a 2008 Malibu. Called ahead because you have to remove the bumper cover to change the lights. They gave me a price and I said explained the cover would need to be removed. He said they could do it. Drive 20 minutes only to be told they can't do it. the tech who I spoke to apologized. The manager, I assume, apparently didn't like that I was unhappy and said it's a dealer job and would cost 300 bucks. I said I called ahead and he started to argue that his sr tech wouldn't have said that. I explained that I have done this myself and that Merlin will do it for 150. Meaning it isn't a dealer only job. I was annoyed that I drove out but the manager didn't have to be a dick. A simple l'm sorry for the miscommunication would have worked. read more

Beware do not go here!!!! If I could give this location 0 stars I would. I went today to get an oil change and they didn't talk to me about which oil package I wanted. They went off the history based on the vin number and put in expensive oil. I went to pay and my bill was around $70, I had sticker shock!! I have never paid that much for oil in my life. I'm not that girl. I always get the standard oil. After I paid I noticed they had the prior car owners information on there and went off of her history, (even though they admitted they knew this person because she is a frequent customer but didn't put it together.) After realizing they did this I talked to the manager and he tried to blame the whole situation on me because I said I had been there before (which I have, several times) just not with this car (which I didn't even realize) After about 10 min of this guy telling me it's all my fault, I left and called corporate. They made things right and adjusted my bill. Side note: this location will only fill your tires to 35psi even if your tire says different. So if u do go there request that they fill your tire appropriately. This whole situation is a result of pure Laziness. You have lost a couple of customers today congrats!! read more

Sent my son in for a standard oil change and he came back with 300 dollar bill for their services. It turns out they changed every fluid in the car without my son knowing what was going on. They completely fleeced a 16 year old boy. Then I called to talk to the manager and they completely deny everything. They tell me it's a standard service and that they do it with every car. They are crooks that take advantage of people. NEVER going back there again read more

I have used this Valvoline location for 4 vehicles for over 5 years. On my last visit, I had the tires rotated along with a synthetic oil change. Two weeks later, my SUV was making more and more tire/road noise. I took it to the dealer and they informed me at the last tire rotation, the lug nuts were not tightened! The tire was on the verge of falling off. And two of my children drove the vehicle during that period. After the dealer tightened, what were finger tightened lug nuts by Valvoline, I took my SUV back to inform them of the potential danger they put my family through. The manager on duty was embarrassed, apologized, said it has never happened before. I asked what he could do for me and offered me a coupon I could print online. I asked him to call the owner, a Brett Custer. He was able to only leave owner a message along with my name and number. I have yet to hear anything back from the owner nor the Valvoline location. I am informing all who read this to avoid this location as they have no appreciation for customer safety, or continued business. I will NEVER give this business another nickel of my business!o read more
