Had the food here. Gyro was so good. Service was so hospitable. Made us feel welcome. Totally made us feel present. Spacious and recommend to come by when your in big bear. Noah also served us and he was cool AF. Tell them Ryan and Atila sent you.

Best chicken schwarma plate I have ever had (and I've had a lot)! We also got the trio of dips as an appetizer, as well as a side of fries with garlic sauce. Everything was amazing! They even offered us free ice cream at the end. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely horrible experience, I'd imagine a pita or shawarma would be the fastest thing to order when you're in a time crunch. But after 28 minutes still no food, I went up to the front and I asked why it would take this long? The owner it looked liked, told me that everything is fresh and it takes time? Um excuse me it's shawarma on a spit, you shave the meat , open the bread , put the toppings and sauce and it's good to go? She even gave me attitude. Saying it's not jack in the box. after 33 minutes my Togo order finally came out. Atleast the blond waitress was very kind offering me a water while I wait. I get it , it seems like a new spot but there's still a bunch of kinks to workout. I would have played a few games of pool with my buddy if I knew it was going to take 30+ minutes to get my food. And after all of that I received the wrong order I ordered a lamb pita and received a chicken wrap. No napkins in the bag. Chicken wrap was good but a small portion , which is a style of shawarma I think Jordanian.

This was absolutely a terrible experience for our family. We were greeted by the hostess and sat down to order some food. I quickly put in an order of chicken tenders so the kids could have their food first. We only got 2 cups of water for the 4 of us at the table. The chicken tenders came out and we had no utensils. I asked for utensils and she brought out one napkin with one fork and one knife. I had to ask if we can have utensils for the whole table. Then we cut the chicken tenders for the kids and they were COMPLETELY raw. Like FROZEN RAW. Absolutely unacceptable. Their excuse was that they were straight from the freezer and they didn't thaw them ahead of time. Ok.. so don't serve it. Next we asked how big the plates were and she said they are really generous portions so we ordered a mixed shawarma plate. It came out and the amount of meat was less than the palm of my hand. The hummus also definitely had too much lemon. The "replacement" for the chicken tenders was another order of the mixed plate. The second plate came out tasting better and juicier. I had to then ask for plates though so we could actually eat since we were sharing. They said they wouldn't charge for the kid's meal.. One would think this is obvious because it came out raw.. anyway. We got the bill, they charged us 50% off one of the mixed plates instead of removing it from the bill. Then the bill didn't even match the prices of the menu. When I asked her about it she said it was because I paid with a credit card. First of all, she told me the total before she knew I was paying with a card. Next, it doesn't say anywhere on the menu that there is an increased charge for credit card payments. It was just a disappointing meal all around and the lack of customers when we arrived at lunch time should have been a hint for us not to eat here. Prob would have given it a zero if I could.

A hidden gem for authentic Syrian cuisine…read more I've been coming to Damasco's Syrian Cuisine for a few years now, and every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. If you're looking for authentic, incredibly flavorful Syrian food, this place absolutely deserves a visit. First off, a huge shoutout to Josh, the owner. He's one of the kindest, most welcoming people you'll meet. He took great care of my family and made us feel right at home. You can tell he genuinely cares about every guest who walks through the door. This visit, my brother ordered the Chicken Kebab Plate, my mom had the Lamb Kebab, my dad got the Combo Plate, and Josh recommended I try the Lamb Chops. I'm so glad I listened. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection--beautifully charred on the outside, incredibly tender and juicy on the inside, and seasoned just right. Easily some of the best lamb chops I've had. The saffron rice deserves its own mention. It was fragrant, fluffy, and packed with flavor. The pickled vegetables added just the right amount of acidity to cut through the richness of the meat, making every bite balanced. The garlic sauce is absolutely addictive, and the warm pita bread is the perfect vessel for scooping up the creamy hummus that comes with the meal. One thing I didn't get a picture of--but absolutely have to recommend--is the falafel. Hands down, it's some of the best falafel I've ever had. Too often falafel is dry, dense, and crumbly. Not here. The outside was perfectly golden and incredibly crispy, while the inside stayed moist, light, and full of flavor. I never thought I'd describe falafel as juicy, but that's honestly the best word for it. And don't leave without trying the baklava. It's the perfect sweet ending to an incredible meal. One thing worth mentioning is that Damasco's isn't the cheapest place around, but this is definitely one of those restaurants where you get exactly what you pay for. The quality of the ingredients, generous portions, authentic flavors, and care that goes into every dish make it well worth the price. Also, don't let the location fool you. It's tucked away in a modest strip mall and can be easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. But once you walk through the doors, you'll understand why this place has such a loyal following. If you appreciate family-owned restaurants, genuine hospitality, and food that's made with love and attention to detail, Damasco's Syrian Cuisine is a must-visit. We've been coming here for years, and we'll continue coming back for many more. Highly, highly recommend. Five stars all day.

I ordered my food to go and I was sitting there for like only 10 minutes. It was a tad expensive when I was told my total but honestly when i got the food and portion for myself i understood. I got the chicken shawarma $22 & extra side of pickles veggies $10. So worth it though it was so goodddd! I actually love their cabbage salad too that came with the plate. I have enough leftovers for probably the next 2 days too.

UPDATE: Changed to 1 star. Idecided to call and see what…read morethe options would be for refund or to replace the order we took to-go. Same young man listened and said he "has to talk to the big boss" and could he give me a call in a few minutes. I waited about 5 minutes and he called back. He then said, "unfortunately the Manger in charge of refunds isn't in until tomorrow" (so, I guess the Big Boss can't issue refund or replacement) Now I have to wait for a call tomorrow to see IF they will do something for us. But the young man did, in a round about way blame the customer. "The lid was placed on it properly. We don't have control over when it leaves the building" I explained that the drive home shook the hummus off the baklava and the lid popped off, so it's our fault? He said, "I didn't say that. I'm saying there are a hundred different variables that could have cause this".... but none of them is the restaurants fault... Right? I'll have another update tomorrow when/IF I get a call. Hubby & I went here for lunch today. When we walked in we were greeted by a young man. He said we could sit anywhere we'd like and he'd be right over with menus. There was one table with patrons. We waited maybe 5 minutes and finally a young lady from the back asked if we had menus yet. No. So SHE brought us menus. Then the young man came by, friendly and politely although not very punctual said "what can I get you to drink?" Easy order. Iced tea and a Diet Coke. We ordered our lunches at that time because it was a long while before he finally came over. I got my pita, hummus and salad from the lady in the kitchen BEFORE our drinks. Waited. Waited. Waited. Hubby finally flagged him over and said, "Can we get our drinks now?" "Oh yeah. Ill be right back with those" He ended up serving the only other table their food before finally coming back with our drinks. I was already irritated. Maybe a little hangry. But, at that point I was over it. We never got a check. Walked to the register and told him we were done. We did take baklava and hummus to go. 2 lunches, 2 drinks, baklava and hummus. $80??? We finally got the hummus and baklava home. The young man apparently stacked the hummus on top of the baklava. During the drive, it must have slid off the baklava and all the oil and hummus leaked out of the container and all over the baklava and bag. Hubby was so disappointed, he threw the whole thing away. So, I guess, 2 lunches and some oily trash for $80 and HORRIBLE customer service. Giving 2 stars because what we DID actually eat was good. I wish I would have gotten the garlic paste the young man said he'd bring me. And wish we would have gotten to try the baklava we spent $27 on. Horrible experience. Won't be going back.
