We ordered a $15 salad and a shawarma wrap plate. We waited a long time for the food. When it arrived, we were shocked to see the salad was so small, it didn't even qualify as a side salad. You could have held the salad in the palm of your hand. Thinking this was a mistake, I found our server and she verified it was the $15 salad. Moving to the shawarma plate, the french fries were over cooked and cold. The shawarma wraps were small and had pickle and sauce on the inside. They were so sour, I could not eat the meat even after pulling it out of the wrap. This was truly one of the worst meals in a long time. read more

We had such a great lunch experience! We ordered the gyro platter and the flame grilled chicken platter and it fed our family of 5 perfectly. My kids can be picky eaters sometimes, and even they loved the platters so much. Absolutely horrible experience, I'd imagine a pita or shawarma would be the fastest thing to order when you're in a time crunch. But after 28 minutes still no food, I went up to the front and I asked why it would take this long? The owner it looked liked, told me that everything is fresh and it takes time? Um excuse me it's shawarma on a spit, you shave the meat , open the bread , put the toppings and sauce and it's good to go? She even gave me attitude. Saying it's not jack in the box. after 33 minutes my Togo order finally came out. Atleast the blond waitress was very kind offering me a water while I wait. I get it , it seems like a new spot but there's still a bunch of kinks to workout. I would have played a few games of pool with my buddy if I knew it was going to take 30+ minutes to get my food. And after all of that I received the wrong order I ordered a lamb pita and received a chicken wrap. No napkins in the bag. This was absolutely a terrible experience for our family. We were greeted by the hostess and sat down to order some food. I quickly put in an order of chicken tenders so the kids could have their food first. We only got 2 cups of water for the 4 of us at the table. The chicken tenders came out and we had no utensils. I asked for utensils and she brought out one napkin with one fork and one knife. I had to ask if we can have utensils for the whole table. Then we cut the chicken tenders for the kids and they were COMPLETELY raw. Like FROZEN RAW. Absolutely unacceptable. Their excuse was that they were straight from the freezer and they didn't thaw them ahead of time. Ok.. so don't serve it. Next we asked how big the plates were and she said they are really generous portions so we ordered a mixed shawarma plate. It came out and the amount of meat was less than the palm of my hand. The hummus also definitely had too much lemon. The "replacement" for the chicken tenders was another order of the mixed plate. The second plate came out tasting better and juicier. I had to then ask for plates though so we could actually eat since we were sharing. They said they wouldn't charge for the kid's meal.. One would think this is obvious because it came out raw.. anyway. We got the bill, they charged us 50% off one of the mixed plates instead of removing it from the bill. Then the bill didn't even match the prices of the menu. When I asked her about it she said it was because I paid with a credit card. First of all, she told me the total before she knew I was paying with a card. Next, it doesn't say anywhere on the menu that there is an increased charge for credit card payments. It was just a disappointing meal all around and the lack of customers when we arrived at lunch time should have been a hint for us not to eat here. 2nd day back to back for lunch, it's that good. Got the shawarma, falafel, and gyro, all were great. Noah was our server today (forgot the name of our server yesterday but she was great too) and service was excellent. Both days we asked to customize a few things and they were more than happy to accommodate. Portions are large and the price is right! The space is modern, clean, open and airy with a large patio. I hate to be the first bad review on here and on their opening day but we were really excited for a Mediterranean restaurant up here. We spent over $100 and when we got home we were so disappointed to find we were missing many items and a lot of things were incorrect. All of the platters say they come with yellow rice and they came with white/brown almost tasteless rice. All of the platters are supposed to come with hummus, pita, and a choice of either a Greek or tabouli salad. We got: -The gyro platter: it was missing the hummus -The chicken skewer platter: missing pita and garlic dip -the falafel platter: came with wrong salad and falafels were flavorless -baba ganoush appetizer: missing pita bread -fattoush salad -the tabouli salads were barely filled and you could see the bottom of the cups All of the food was sub-par unfortunately. They gave barely any salad. Missing multiple dips and multiple orders of pita bread. The place was empty but it took 45 minutes to get any food. I don't think they were ready for a grand opening but, regardless, they were not busy so this many mistakes really doesn't make sense. I really was on the fence about writing a review in our small town but we decided that people should know not to get their hopes up like we did. My 5 stars is just for their babaganoush. It's amazing!!!!!! It was their opening day so there's bound to be hiccups. Between the decor and fancy silverware and plastic cups it seems this place can't decide if it's casual or fine dining. Hopefully they lean more towards a date night spot. The service was friendly but obviously never been a server. Staff needs to learn menu and drink menu. And when I asked about ordering a cocktail the waitress only took my husbands order and not mine. As other reviews have noted, this is a new restaurant in Big Bear Lake. It fills a gap in the local culinary offerings as we did not have anything remotely resembling a Mediterranean restaurant previously. The food is quite good and the management and employees are very friendly and helpful. I particularly like the tzatziki and hummus, along with the Gyro platter, the Greek salad and the grape leaves. While I haven't had their shawarma, others tell me it's very good. If you like this kind of food, you will not go wrong here. read more

15 dollars for pre made salad (that doesn't include any actual salad that was confirmed to be made in the morning). Took 20 mins to get a to go order when there wasn't even any one in the store. They told me it was new kitchen staff and could only give me "partial refund for the small portion". Manager was also extremely rude. Would never go back to this joke. If you have a family of 4 expect to pay well over 100. Extremely disappointing. And she made me leave the food that I ordered!
