I'm not going to lie this was pretty bad. I ordered the chicken shish tawook and it was a piece of chicken breast with no flavour. The rice was super wet and only has yellow colouring and no flavour. The only good thing was the fries. I'm from Canada where we have some really good middle eastern food and this was def not it. If you've had good middle eastern food or are middle eastern stay away bc I think you'll be very disappointed. read more

I fully understand that this sounds like a "me" or "Karen" problem but I promise I have tried every which way to order it and it's never right. No tomato. Add onion. That's it. Nothing crazy. It's either been made normally with tomato. Has neither on it, or has both on it. I thought for sure tonight was going to be the night because she repeated it back flawlessly. But alas. No tomato. No onion. =\ thankfully I had onion in my fridge and that made it perfect. At this point I just expect it will be wrong. It won't stop me from ordering there, I just need to make sure I have onion ready to go at home lol. Be aware there's usually a hefty wait time. At least 10min if not over 15. My colleagues and I absolutely love this place! we have lunch almost every other week here. We usually order online and pick it up from the shop. Their online service is very efficient. The food is always ready at the requested time. My favorite is the Chicken Tawook wrap and the Meat and Veggie lunch combo. The meat is always flavorful and juicy. Salads and rice is tasty. A relatively new establishment, so we were excited to try it out. The menu was similar to many Mediterranean places we'd been to but the sautéed section intrigued me. Naturally I like to order something different. The place was kept pretty clean and inviting but the benches could use a wipe-down to remove the dirt marks. The waiting time was much longer than we expected. It seemed that many people came in for pickup so that might have prolonged the serving of the food. Now the food... we had high hopes but we were a bit disappointed afterwards. The food was presented in a nice ceramic dish, so we were at first very pleased, but after we dug our forks in, there came the frowny faces. The sautéed veggies were a bit overcooked and too mushy to my liking. It was not how I anticipated a sautéed dish would look/taste like. Tomato sauce was used in the dish but unfortunately it was overpowering the other flavors. Beef Shawarma was on the dry side and lacking seasonings. Some pieces were kind of chewy. First time at this location. Here's what I've noticed about Pita Pita Mediterranean Grill, based on this visit, along with two other locations. 1. Amazing staff! Friendly and helpful. 2. Flavorful food! Plenty of tasty food, no matter what we've ordered! My wife and I even shared a meat sampler platter (forgot what they called it) and both came away satisfied! 3. Nice layouts and clean restaurants. We found that, as soon as our neighbor left, someone came by to wipe the table and straighten out. Hello Yelpers and hunters for fine cuisine, resident foodie here with a tish delish review of Pita Pita! First, it was an unusually (but welcomed) warm November Thursday evening when we decided to come here. It's not too far from the Arboretum but it can be easily missed unless you look for it. We decided to eat in (vs. take out) and ordered 6 falafals and the mixed meat platters so we can try a little bit of each of the meats. We also purchased a fountain drink and a bottled of Caleb's kola. We are not cola drinkers, however, it was delicious! Also I am always a sucker for those fountain machines just to mix different flavors. 3 flavors of SoBe Lifewaters? Yes, please! Now on to the food! They served our food to us at our table (so nice!). Two words, Super yum! The platters come with salad with cucumbers and tomato cubes in a tasty (but not too much) vinaigrette and pita bread. I recommend this place alone in the delicious spices. The rice was very delish with a nice subtle flavor that wasn't too over powering. The meats were very good. They were all spiced so well with very complimentary flavors. When you start combining the flavors together between the salad, rice, chicken and beef, you are left with a plethora of flavor that will leave you satisfied and pleased! Be prepared to share or take some food home because they give you plenty, which is nice for lunch left overs. I recommend Pita Pita for the nice decor, yummy food, fountain machine and good service. It isn't the best Mediterranean we've had but it is very delicious and it's not too far from us. read more

I'm stuck in this food desert that is Hoffman Estates, and Pita Pita was a nice change from the usual American chain blah. As usual, I'm traveling across this great land of ours, and per my usual routine, Yelp is there to help make my dining decisions. This time Yelp helped in spades, where as this area is dripping with the now-usual American islands of chain crap that you can have in every city, usually tacked to a Wal-Mart or Target. Hoffman Estates is for those that eat Olive Garden while traveling, if you catch my drift. Yes Pita Pita is a chain, but it's not on the mighty scales of the usual McDonald's or Burger King-esque places that ruin us so. I walked into a clean restaurant, and was attended to immediately. My order took about ten minutes, which is perfect as this isn't fast food. It appeared that the chef was attending to each dish as it made it out to the dining room which was a nice touch. He explained everything to those that weren't "in the know", but the artistic touches made the plates look tasty as well as appealing to the eye. The hummus is amazing, the falafel has a nice bite to it, and the sauces are what seal the deal here. A very nice touch indeed. When I come back to this area, I'd visit Pita Pita again for certain. Delicious food and amazing customer service. We picked up a take out order for a birthday dinner and they unfortunately forgot one of the entrees. A quick phone call later and a drive back to the restaurant and they added an extra dinner and sides to our order for the mishap. Came here last weekend! Mediterranean is one of my favorite cuisines, and I eat "Pita Inn" atleast once a week. Pita-Pita did not disappoint. The place is new, clean and opening up more and more locations. The food was pretty good. I got the mixed meat plate! The prices are a little bit more then Pita Inn, or Naf Naf, although you can tell the diff in quality here. The food service is great!
