The gyro meat is delicious, the flatbread is soft but is able to hold all the filling without any breakouts. The Tzatziki sauce is so refreshing and tangy. The staff are always friendly here. This place is always very busy at lunchtime, which shows how popular they are. I happened to be driving by at dinnertime, so I decided to stop in. An absolutely fantastic meal Nothing fancy about the place, you order at one end of the counter, and pay and pick up your food at the other. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Everybody that I dealt with was very friendly, and the place was spotless. They have a good selection of pitas, salads, and other items on the menu, including vegetarian choices. They also do catering. I decided to go with the gyro pita, Lamb and beef, Romaine lettuce, red onions, tomatoes, tzatziki and secret sauce. It was so good. The meat was tender, and it had so much flavor, and it was a generous portion. That pita bread was a very good quality, and the veggies were crisp. I loved that tzatziki and the secret sauce, they provided a nice tang that kept it from being too rich. I also had an order of six of the falafel. When I got them, they were a bit dark, and I was worried that they were overdone. I couldn't have been more wrong, and I'm happy to admit it. They were absolutely delicious. They were tender, and they had just a tiny bit of "zip" to them. I love a good falafel, and these were right up there. They came with a tzatziki sauce, and with a spicy ketchup for dipping. The ketchup was a bit too spicy for me, but I loved that tzatziki. I only ate two of them, and he gave me a bit extra tzatziki to take home for the rest of them. They never made it home. They were so good, I was munching on them in the car, and before I knew it they were gone. Even without the sauce, they were great that extra sauce that he gave me, which was awesome, I'm sure I can find something at home to put it on. Lol. I went during a weekday and this place was extremely packed. A good sign... meaning it is good. I chose the salad with steak. Salad, steak, drink, plus tip came out to $22. They have a good amount of parking and a few 2-person tables inside and a few 4-person tables outside a little patio area to enjoy your food. I tried the chicken gyro bowl and it's so good! It comes with your chose of white or brown rice, choice of meat, roasted onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes, and topped with their special sauce, feta cheese, & olives. Simple and delicious. First time at PitaQ which is located at the end of a long line of stores on a Main Street but easy to get to. Parking is available outside. Service is quick and it is nice to watch as they put everything together for my To Go order. Ordered the Chicken Pita with carrots instead of onion which they easy obliged. Light on the sauce added and was it ever delicious. Even had a wheat pita option. This is definitely going to be a favorite for me. Funny story...I raved about it to my son and daughter-in-law afterwards so they also ordered. As I was on my way home from my other appointment, I played the part of their delivery person and dropped that off for them for their lunch. Haha. I think at one point, this place was very good, clean, new, etc. There is potential for this place to be amazing, but the place is run down after I think only being opened for a few years. That strip there is pretty bad, very broken down buildings, dirty, rat traps outside and around buildings. When you walk in, the place looks beat up, no one kept up with maintenance or cleaning. The bathroom is very dirty, filthy, which is a first impression and whomever is working there to not be preparing my meal. The door, the floor, the tables, really gross. Dirt, hair, grime and inside the area where these women, whom I'm sure work hard to a certain degree, are overworked and don't care about the rest, but on the other end, where the food is meant to be kept fresh, the steel is filthy, dirt accumulated and grime and dust and more. When looking where the pita chips sit, I probably wouldn't want any of those. The place needs a full cleaning revamp because sanitary wise, no good, that's unhealthy in itself. Food and safety need to come in a grade this place with an low D so that they could clean this place up. The outside area is the same. The place has potential, bring it back to life, CLEAN and SANITIZE because that's #1!!!! The women there are not the friendliest, they look angry and not happy to be there. I wonder why? read more

This is one of a few restaurants I've tried in the area recently, and it's a winner in my mind. My usual driving patterns don't take me past this area, so it took me a little while to notice the new restaurants popping up here. Good to see some new life in the area! The menu is your typical Mediterranean grill menu and what I chose was pretty typical - gyros and falafel. I was very happy to see that they offer gyros and other sandwiches in flatbread in addition to pita bread. It's my understanding that the flatbread wrap is more traditional for a gyros than pita bread... but who knows, maybe the Greek that told me that was full of shawarma or something. She also told me that 'gyros' is the singular form of the sandwich... I got a little too lost in her dark brown eyes and exotic accent to ask what the plural form would be. Anyway, the gyros was great - I chose the 'spicy sauce' option when asked... all ingredients were nice and fresh, resulting one tasty gyros! The falafels took a few minutes to prepare, so they brought them to my table while I was eating the gyros. Nice presentation on the falafels! Overall, a very enjoyable visit. I thought the music was just a touch too loud, but obviously a personal preference thing. It was a little tough for me to hear people talking over the music is all.
