Outdoor Seating (fountain not on) would have made a huge difference
    J J.

The ingredients are very fresh and they are consistent with the flavor. Just wish the outdoor seating area was better maintained.

I ordered the gyro and it was adequately filling. The meat was a little dry, but the fresh ingredients in the gyro made up for it. The peanut butter cookie was wonderful. It was very soft and melts in your mouth. he staff were very friendly and I believe the owner/manager was very friendly. There was a problem on the website and he made it right. The shop is small but there is some seating and there's evening more seating on the patio. The price is also reasonable.

Food was grease vegetable and rice were mushy I come here all the time I will not be back it only takes one time to serve me unpleasant food. I don't know if thy got a new owner but definitely not pleased. I only ate it because I spent 20 dollars what a waste.

Those are the falafel balls they almost look burnt and like I said they taste like grass
    Fran G.

This used to be my favorite restaurant. I haven't visited there in over three years. The whole atmosphere has changed. I tried to falafel ball. It taste like I was eating grass. I haven't tried my rice bowl yet. I have to see what kind of surprise I'll get.I won't order falafel balls any more nothing like I remembered who knows might not revisit. New owners seem ungrateful and not caring a whole atmosphere was just off.

WHY WE WENT HERE: - brunch - SO's sister is a regular here; she wanted to bring me to her go-to Mediterranean spot (she's a Chipotle fanatic and loves that this place has the same model for your order) THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - located in a plaza off the corner of Folsom Blvd and Bradshaw Rd THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - clean, bright, small - as stated above, it gives me Chipotle/Subway sandwich vibes in terms of how you order THE MENU: - pita - rice bowls - salads - don't let your pita's be lonely - beverages - desserts WHAT WE ORDERED: - veggie pita - falafel pita - baklava THE TASTE: - veggie pita - SO's sister regularly gets this item so she wasn't disappointed - falafel pita - I was pleasantly surprised; tasty and filling but not bloating - baklava - I'm still not sure if I'm actually a fan of baklava; this one was definitely very heavy on the honey CUSTOMER SERVICE: - fast service

Sigh. The amount of chicken for the rice bowl is extremely disappointing.
    Montana P.

Portion is a bit lackluster. Important to note the chicken isn't done kabob style and is sliced. They don't offer plate style (they're a bowl and sandwich place). The place looks neat. But at this corner it's tough to get into unless you know the area. Otherwise, the food tastes okay. For 15 dollars, this was a lot of onions and rice. Sigh.

I do loveeeeee this place! The rice bowl is everything I love! Chicken, rice, bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, cheese, salsa and my favorite olives! My only disappointment is last time I ordered a To-go order and I felt I got less food than normal. I was still hungry.. but that's usually not the case. Overall, the food is fresh with delicious flavors.

I've always seen Pita Q ever since college, but never tried it out until recently. My boyfriend and I decided to eat it for lunch after going to the gym. We both ordered a gyro rice bowl to go. Both rice bowls were packed! We ate it as soon as we got home and we both finished in one sitting. It was really good! Seriously no complaints at all. I would definitely recommend to anyone and come again!

standing ovation. A HUGE appreciation for the customer service of Jacob and Carlos. Through and through they treated every customer they interacted with the same; friendly, approachable, attentive. My first time in and I sat back and watched them assist a line of customers quickly. And note, they are consistent at changing their gloves for every meal they prepare. I was confident that my meal was not cross contaminated with meat. Order falafel on wheat pita. The portions were huge! The sauces were so good. Highly recommend.

There was a point where I ate here 1-2 times a week after first trying it. I highly recommend their quesobirria burrito, laylahs burrito, street tacos, and chickn enchiladas with green sauce. This place is incredible and my dad who is not vegan rated his burrito a 9/10! (I think he was just afraid to give it a 10/10) . I just wish they were open later on Fridays and open on Saturdays! (It always is when they're closed I'm craving their food the most) Oh also, It says on their website that they're open until 9 but they're actually only open until 8pm

How the fuck was I able to place an order? I wasted time and money veering off the freeway to get here and all I got was a refund. No sorry, nothing. This place is a waste of time. The Monterey location is cool but the service her sucks. We've eaten here on two other occasions and the service has always been trash. Food is decent, if overpriced for the ghetto area this is located in. They also have a weird schedule where they close early Friday and are not open on Saturdays. I assume it's an SDA thing, but since I'm almost never in Sac on days other than Fri/Sat, it's a missed opportunity.

The tamales to go are vacuum sealed with an expiration date and can be reheated in the microwave or steamed. The pork tamales were the most expensive at $15.49 for 6. The Jalapeno Cheese tamales were $9.99 for 4 and were extremely spicy. I was surprised how intense the heat was from the jalapenos. The chicken tamales are the most reasonably priced at $10.99 for 6 and are very flavorful. There is a very slight spicy taste, but nothing overwhelming at all. The mild salsa was the perfect spiciness level for my preference. It paired well with the fresh corn tortilla chips. The tortilla chips were very costly since they were $4.00 for a small bag. I also ordered the horchata which was very sweet and creamy with a strong cinnamon flavor. It was perfect and refreshing for the hot afternoon. Service was good as the worker was friendly and helpful. There are a few tables to eat hot prepared food there. This location is part of an industrial condominium, so it is a small warehouse suite. The prices for the tamales are cheaper than the location in Old Sacramento. The tamales are also available at Whole Foods Market however, are more expensive.

I've been to Italy--including Sicily--more times than most people have left California, and my…read morepartner even holds an Italian birth certificate. With that context, we don't take Italian food lightly. That's exactly why Ippolito's Trattoria stands out. Nick, the owner, is there seven days a week. Whether he's running the kitchen like a true master or walking the dining room checking in with guests, his presence is constant. His wife is often by his side, and together they've built something that feels less like a restaurant and more like a family. The staff reflects that--welcoming, attentive, and genuinely warm. Now, the food. The chicken parmigiana is massive--easily two meals--and executed perfectly. The chicken is tender, well-seasoned, and balanced. We usually start with calamari or a shared salad, both consistently excellent. I'm especially particular about carbonara, and this is the only place in Sacramento that truly gets it right. No shortcuts. No cream. No smoked bacon. They respect the tradition--using proper ingredients like guanciale or pancetta and incorporating the egg the way it's meant to be. It's easily the best carbonara I've had in years. The arancini are another highlight. If you've ever made them at home, you know the effort involved--this is the real deal. Crispy outside, rich and flavorful inside, and absolutely authentic. The bread is baked fresh daily by Nick, and it shows. The pasta is artisan-quality, also made fresh, and sourced from a trusted local partner. Every detail reflects care and intention. Dessert is not an afterthought here. The tiramisu--made in-house--is flawless. And the cannoli? Outstanding. The shells have the perfect crunch, and the fillings are rich without being overpowering. Even the pizzelle cookies are done right. It's no surprise they've earned recognition, including: Best Italian Restaurant in Sacramento Best Restaurant Overall in Sacramento Beyond the food, Nick is active in the community and gives back, which only adds to the experience. We've enjoyed this place so much that we've chosen them to cater my 60th birthday for 20 very discerning Italian family members--many of whom we've already brought here, all with the same glowing reactions. If there's any criticism to address, it's usually from people saying the food isn't salty or herb-heavy enough. That misses the point. This is balanced, authentic cooking--where ingredients shine without being masked. I've been to Papa Gianni's in Cameron Park dozens of times over the years, and it's a great spot. But when it comes to the Sacramento region, Ippolito's Trattoria is my go-to, without question.

I ordered food to go, to bring it back to my mother-in-law's and feed us all. Personally I got the non-vegetarian Thali Dinner... it was fantastic! I received more food that I could have imagined for $22, and among it all was a lamb samosa that I can only describe as my favorite new comfort food I never knew I longed for. I've never had one, not sure I would have ordered one had it not come with the dinner, and can't explain the favor other than to say iykyk. And I will go back here just for them alone. It tastes like being welcomed home. But also the curry was delicious. My kids got their own butter chicken and finished mine too. And to top it all off the kheer (rice pudding) was a perfect compliment to ensure I could eat no more. While my wife and I waited (we ordered there) we were offered water, and given little glasses of their mango lassi (a lovely and hospitable gesture that made us hope the food was good so we wanted to come back all the more). The Good: - The price is definitely on the more reasonable side. - The decor is very nice and clean. - The one waiter was very pleasant and attentive (I'm thinking maybe it is the owner). The Not-So-Great: - Most of the flavors of the food are off. The Aloo Matar was bland. The Chicken Korma was way heavy on the cardamom. The Palak Paneer was oddly sweet. The Dal Makhani was crunchy and undercooked. The Tandoori Chicken was dry and underseasoned. The chili cauliflower was too mushy and sweet. There was a strange item like an inverted grilled cheese sandwich with a tomato soup filling? Didn't quite know what to make of that. The rice, veggie spring rolls and naan were passable. - The music streaming from the TV was aggressive and distracting since the signal kept going out. It would go from loud and clamorous to dead silent frequently. There were barely any customers there which is never a good sign. I'm not feeling very positive about this place staying in business for very long. I'll just say that there's way better competition out there to make it unlikely I'll return. I hope they figure out a better formula.

The first time we went, we were greeted by a young gentleman, and he knew English (in teens or early 20s). When I went Sunday, I was helped by a young, middle aged woman. I got here at 5 pm, 1 hour before closing so there wasn't a lot of options, but still good enough to eat. I wanted savory options since I was famished from going to the gym down the street and haven't eaten all day. I looked around and got the Chebureiki, which is like a hot pocket / calzone, but with ground meat only. I will explain how I ended up getting 2 ($6.50 each) of these in a bit. I also got the Lahmajo ($2.50 each), and it's one of the most popular items. It's like a flatbread with ground meat "glued" to the flatbread and you can fold it and eat it like a taco or taquito. This is my favorite. I also got the Zhingyalov hat, which is basically a veggie hot pocket. It was the last one so I thought why not ($8). The last item I got was a Ekler ($3.50), which is like a big cream puff, very light and airy. The lady assisting me was nice. There was a bit of a language barrier, but I was able to get my orders through. She did charge me for 2 of the Chebureiki, which I luckily caught. So instead of having her give me a refund of ($6.50), I just asked her to put another one in my box. This was due to me asking for price and her putting it in the order register to check, but forgot to take it off. Honest mistake. All the food I had was great and flavorful. The Lahmajo is still my favorite and I might just order this moving forward. Overall, great place for on the go foods and great flavor. I would just double check your receipt and items before leaving since there is a slight language barrier. I'll make time to come back.
