Everything was phenomenal . This is some of the fluffiest falafel I have ever had. Everything is noticeably fresh, will definitely be back.

New to Mediterranean lifestyle. Looked on Yelp for a good place nearby and this one came up. Husband and I both ordered chicken shawarma wraps (lunch special). They were out of fries so we got rice instead. Fantastic food, big portions. Decided to try baklava for a treat and they gave it to us free. Great service, nice little restaurant...can't wait to have lunch here again!

Good Mediterranean food in Bolingbrook. We ordered meat combo entree, grape leaves and baklava. The meat combo was delicious and included chicken kabobs, beef kefta, chicken shawarma, pita, hummus, salad and falafel. This dish gives you a variety of options and portion size was adequate for two people. Large selection of items on the menu and they also serve American food. Thank you

Tried this place with my husband for dinner. We started off with grape leaves which were good. We then had Falafel Wrap and Mixed Grill. The falafel wrap was just ok so does the mixed grill. The sauces weren't as great as I feel they've water those down specifically the hot sauce. The ambiance was just ok. The service wasn't great as the server was confused with our order and we've to remind him with the ordered items.

Pita Zone was so good! The service and atmosphere was great and the food was phenomenal. We got the Mix Grill Platter and Shawarma Platter and the portion sizes fed four people comfortably. The employees and owner were very helpful and kind. We will definitely be coming back.

Went to pick up my order, brought it home, totally different than the food I had a couple of months ago. The shrawma was chopped and not shaved like usual. The falafel had a strange taste, and was harder texture than normal. When I bit into my chicken "shrawma" there was a bone in it! The hummus was so sour (I'm hoping from lemon juice) I couldn't even eat it! So disappointed, not going back!

THE PITA AND THE PENDULUM   My opinion of this Mediterranean restaurant has swung from 'good' to 'needs improvement'.   Pita Zone is in a Bolingbrook strip mall at the intersection of Weber Rd & Hassert; in this same area are a Subway, Dairy Queen and Otobo, our neighborhood sushi spot.   You might be better off ordering online; when I placed an order in-person for a gyro and wrap, it took 20 minutes before it was ready.  TWENTY.  That's a long time for a couple of fairly speedy items.  Down the street, COVO or Fill-a-Pita can whip this up for you in 4-5 minutes, tops.   Of these three places that offer gyros, Pita Zone's was the cheapest ($7.50).  Theirs was also the only one that included pickles on the sandwich (which my wife wasn't a fan of), but otherwise the gyro was fine.  You can add fries and a drink for $3.50.   I liked the beef shawarma wrap ($8.50) that came with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, hummus and tahini sauce.  The lentil soup ($4) tasted pretty good.  I've gotten meat combos ($15) in the past that were fairly yummy and a decent value.   Last visit, I specifically asked for a side of yellow rice but they gave me a side of fries--and they weren't even good ones!  I was really looking forward to that delicious Mediterranean rice (I even clarified yellow rice in case they misheard me, but apparently that didn't do sh*t).   Just as I was getting my drink and leaving, I saw a bunch of ants in the soda fountain drip tray.  Not just a few, but a horde of black ants all over the place.  Apart from a rat stealing pizza, ants are one of the LAST things a customer wants to see at a restaurant.  Eeeeeee.   * TL;DR *   Pita Zone gets a 4/10 on the kebab-o-meter: despite some signs of promise (good value, decent tasting food), there were also lots of issues (inaccurate order, long wait times, bug sightings).   While I'm happy to support small businesses like this one, I think PZ's shortcomings have ruled themselves out of conversation at this point.  COVO/Fill-a-Pita are technically chains, but at least they've got their act together and I'm willing to pay a bit more for that professionalism.   Could do worse.  Could do better.

A pretty good place to get in the zone for a pita and falafel. In Bolingbrook there's a shopping center and it has a few restaurants including this one. Pita Zone is among the better places. Fairly good prices on most of the items. The menu is friendly to vegetarians. Get a pita because it's what they focus on of course. It has a few to choose from. They have the usual kinds such as the Falafel Wrap. It's $6.99 for a pretty big one. This comes with cucumbers, hummus, lettuce, onions, pickles, tahini, and tomatoes. A nice thing is that it actually comes with plentiful falafel. This is crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle. A difference from other places is that it's not burnt. The best sides include the Fattoush Salad. It's $3.99 for a pretty big one. This has a vinaigrette dressing with cucumbers, mixed lettuce, onions, parsley, romaine, and tomatoes. Has some pretty good and healthy items. It also has pretty low prices. There's lots to choose for vegetarians.

We like to order big when trying a new place! My favorite thing was the garlic parm fries - absolutely delicious! The burger was quite tasty as well. Definitely seemed like real beef (when compared to other cheap fast food joints). I liked the Italian Beef egg rolls: they were crunchy and much more like a traditional Chinese egg roll than I expected. A little spicy with the giardianiera. The Mac n cheese bites were meh and the cheese curds weren't all that great either. They both might have been tastier if they were still hot by the time I got them home. I would definitely try this place again. I heard the cashier mention a rewards program. Their prices are comparable to Culvers or Five Guys, but seems worth it.

Lots of times they're really slow. It's about $10 for a Beyond Burger. This is one of the main vegetarian options. A pretty typical one with the basic toppings but nothing special to be honest. Of course there's lots of paninis filled with meat. There's also the Reuben made with the classic corned beef, or it can be made with pastrami. The kitchen is all the way visible, with nothing to hide. A number of Doner roasters and fryers on the back wall, and through the glass all of the preparation bins were RIGHT THERE. It all looked superb and fresh. The billboard menu above was easy to read, although if you don't know what Bashka or Mansaf is, you're not going to find out anything there. The Gal behind the counter (at least on the day I was there) seemed to not have the best command of English, although she was most polite and professional. I had never heard of a "Puffy" Pita, so of course I swung with a "Crispy Puffy Lamb Pita with Everything". They were making Falafels for another order, and they looked swell, so I piped an order of 3 as a side dish. Upon walking in, there was a cart that had an assortment of Middle-Eastern Pickles (Which I have a remarkable affinity for). When you order them, they hand you a clamshell and you return to the cart to "Pick your own". A perfect diversion while your food is prepared to order. There was a pile of fab-looking Baklavas in clamshells in the ordering window, and they were SO fab-looking I had to throw one in on my order. Well. I got in the car and HAD to try one of the Falafels while they were hot and crispy (Wife was driving). Need to say, these might have been the best Falafels I've ever had. Chock full of flavor, with a mighty crunch, and this was even without a dunk in the provided Tahini sauce. I savaged the entire order of 3 before we got home. The "Crispy Puffy Lamb Pita" was a handful, and it too, was a flavor extravaganza. I don't know exactly what constitutes a "Crispy Fluffy Pita", but this one was really delish. On another, later visit I had just a "Puffy Lamb Pita" which was notch below the Crispy morsel, but still yum. The Garlic and Pomegranate sauces on the side were tasty, but the CripsyPuffy really did not need any help in the flavor department. Wife had procured me a Hot Tender from "Fry The Coop" a few doors down from Hello Shawarma here, and I was dipping it in the Hello Shawarma sauces to the Chicken Tender's advantage. The Baklava was, as it turned out, not simply good, it was OUTSTANDING! Full disclosure, with the absence of Arak on my booze shelf, I substituted a nice glass of Ouzo on the rocks to quaff with my meal, and it was a perfect call So I'm throwing 5 for this fab chain, a fine mid-eastern meal indeed!
