I ordered a gyro sandwich and Greek salad. The gyro came with no feta, overcooked cold meat and had pickles on it. The salad also had pickles (?) on it. I know times are tough, and usually don't leave bad reviews, but this sandwich has a LOT to be desired. the food here is delicious. we got the "small" baba ganouj which was actually a pretty good size and SO good. the tandoori chicken was perfectly cooked to fall off the bone and was deliciously spicy and flavorful. the rice and yogurt sauce that came with it were the perfect pairing. the chicken shawarma pita wrap was great, the greens were really fresh and crunchy. the staff were super nice. we are hoping to come back when they make homemade baklava which is apparently very good!! read more

We have been seeing this place at the corner of 111th and Weber for a while now. Thought we would check it out. The place look like just any place, tables and chairs with booths. Soda machine is digital and pepsi products. The place is clean. Menu is digital but they do have paper copy as well at the counter to make it easier for you to choose. All the dishes looks good and it would be expensive if we try them all. The cashier suggested that we try the meat lover where it would include a portion of all dishes which we did. And it was ALL GOOD! The pita was toasty and the hummus, wow! It was very tasty. We have tried falafel before and was not a fan but theirs was fried just right and tasty inside. We will definitely be a regular to this place since we just live across the street. If you are in the area and have cravings for a good Mediterranean fast food, check out the place. My husband and I go every week. We order the meat combo. We love the fact that it takes a good 5-7 Minutes to get our food because they grill everything fresh! You can taste it in the food how fresh the rice, chicken, and steak taste. The servings are huge and the seasonings are right on point. We order the meat combo and they fill the plate to the max. You get two types of chicken, 2 types of steak, salad, rice, hummus, falafel, and 2 pita breads! We love this place! Listen the food is good. The service though is awful. This is to Sammy who took my order. Please be more professional. Not everyone knows your menu, especially new customers. There is no need to be rude when a customer does not know your menu. Also when it comes time to pay for the food you don't flat out ask "are you going to pay" as if i was just gonna place the order and run off with the food. Yes Sammy I know how this works you need to pay for the food. Here's some advice let the customer know the total and simply ask: "will you be paying cash or card?" See not so hard. This place is terrible. I have given them two chances and they have struck out twice. They try to combine middle eastern food with off the shelf "American" products. For example the fatoosh salad is not authentic. They used bagged pita chips that are bought at Walmart. The pita wrap doesn't use a middle eastern pita but a store bought Americanized pita. The food tastes like leftovers someone prepares for themselves at home to get clear out the fridge The staff clearly doesn't care either and are just waiting to get fired or have the place close down. Wanted to try this place out because the reviews were good and I had been wanting a shop like this to open up closer to my home (typically I've gone to KabobQ in Willowbrook to get my shawarma fix). Arrived at around 7:30, 2 people in front of us. When it was our turn to order, the cashier was very kind but seemed distracted and frazzeled. He would ask us a question about what we wanted as a side and before we could answer, he'd turn into the kitchen to yell a question to the others working. He'd also start doing a task, like putting hummus into a container, before coming back to the register. This happened a couple times, and made the ordering process take about 5 minutes. It was slightly frustrating but I let it slide because he was very helpful and kind. Unfortunately they had run out of chicken shawarma for the night, so I opted for falafel. I got baba ghanouj and a simple salad for my sides (also ordered a side of hummus and fries later on). The food took 20 minutes to get to our table!!! When there were only 2 other people in the restaurant!!!! I have no idea what was going on back there, so i truly don't know why it took so long. Sadly, the falafel was dry, cold, and tough. The rice was just okay. The baba ghanouj was not desirable...it tasted like it came from a container. The fries were fine, but those are hard to mess up. The hummus was also fine, but nothing to write home about. Honestly, the salad and pita bread were the highlight of the meal. On a positive note, the sauces provided were quite delicious. But I didn't pay $10+ for sauce. If I ever go back, it will be to try the chicken shawarma, but i don't really see that happening any time soon. I won't be going back. A Greek salad that was just handfuls of olives, chopped tomatoes, half a sliced onion (including the root end) and pickles. Maybe a tablespoon of gets cheese. Always check your order if you are doing carry out at pita zone. My family had typically frequented Roti in Naperville, but unfortunately they had closed recently. Loving medditerrean food, we were elated to spot pita zone, which was also very close to our home. It had the potential to be our new go-to eatery. Arriving home after picking up our carry out, we found that they missed a chicken wrap plate. Calling in to inform, we were met with someone on the phone who just didn't want to believe they messed up. Rude and condescending. Only other response was "what do you want us to do about it". We wanted them to create the dish so it would be ready when we came back to pick up. Arriving at the store, they didn't bother to create and we had to wait on them. Very unfortunate experience as they could have earned a loyal customer. Going forward, We'll just make the drive to the much better food and service of Pita Inn in Naperville/Aurora. I was absolutely so excited for this food. I had read reviews and placed an order. I received a chicken shawarma and it did not come in a pita. More like a tortilla. The chicken was dry and I wish there was more sauce on it. However, the falafels were crispy on the outside, warm and delicious on the inside, especially with some hummus. This place is very close to my house. I thought I would give it a try. Clean on inside. Workers were creepy. There was 1 or 2 people working and handling phone - which irked me bc he wasn't keeping proper hand hygiene IMO. If you don't know good Arab or Mediterranean food this place prob seems good. But I do know - and I don't really care for a south Asian twist to my shawarma, filafel and Kebobs. And nothing should be spicy and biryani should not even enter the equation..... Also they got my order wrong. Came on the recommendation of a coworker and this did not disappoint. The falafel was hot, crispy and perfect spice. The chicken shawarma was incredible with pita and sauces.
