Lately I've been craving gyros and since this is close to my workplace, I thought I would give it a try based on Yelp reviews. I ordered the gyro platter with the side of rice and Greek salad. Based on another review, I knew the portions were going to be big and planned to eat some for lunch and take the rest home for dinner. The portions are definitely generous! I ate all the salad for lunch since I knew it wouldn't save well for dinner and then ate half of the gyro and rice. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring the remaining gyro and rice home from work and then got locked out of the building when I realized I forgot it. I went there on 11/30/23 at 12:45. While I was looking at the menu board a woman approached the counter and asked for extra tzatziki. The counter person said she could have one at no cost. She then asked for two and he said he would have to charge for the second one. Five minutes later a man approached the counter and asked for more tzatziki and the counter person gave him a cup of tzatziki without charging him. I then ordered a gyro with extra tzatziki and was being charged for the extra tzatziki . When I asked why I was being charged when two other people were not charged for one cup of extra tzatziki the counter person lied and said that didn't happen. And when I said it was done right in front of me minutes ago, he started arguing with me. Eventually he capitulated but not after it was extremely uncomfortable that he singled me out. Maybe because I was a senior citizen? To top it all off, while I did get extra tzatziki, the gyro did not have the customary portion of gyro meat and was rather skimpy. I noticed that when the cook was placing the meat into the pita. However, in light of my counter experience, I chose not to say anything about the portion of gyro meat. I will not return to this establishment. I was waiting for friends to meet me there for lunch but when they came I told them of my experience and they decided like me to go somewhere else. read more

We were staying at the Marriott next door and walked over on a whim... what a find! Our group had 3 different pitas and a bowl. All were amazing! I came in wanting and expecting to give this place five stars, but it ended up being an average three. The original hero gyro was OK, but not great. If you're looking for quantity over quality than this place would be great because they were large pitas. However, the meet is more like chunks then it is thin slices. It's very thick with not much seasoning so somewhat bland taste. That tzatziki sauce is very good though. We also tried the chicken pita, but it was very dry. The fries were excellent though. So this place a year ago would have been 5 stars. I was going weekly. It now has new ownership and some things have changed. They seem to be in cost cut mode because everything has decreased. They used to send 20% off your lunch and now it is only 15% off. The lamb gyro used to come out jammed packed with meat. The portion now is significantly smaller by about 1/3. The philly steak pita used to be at least 2 slabs of cooked meat and now I think they have cut that in half or by 1/3. Even the soda cups are half the size they used to be. The food is still good but the portions are just getting trimmed up in my opinion. Maybe they want to slim us up a bit! read more
