Went for coffee Saturday morning with my daughter. This location has such an amazing space! It's very open and spacious. It's so refreshing to be able to have a conversation and coffee and not feel like everyone is sitting on top of each other. The service was fantastic. The baristas seemed like they were genuinely excited to be there. I had the caramel cookie latte and it was delicious!! The mixture of flavoring and espresso was perfect and the waffle cookie on top was a perfect touch. My daughter had an iced teddy graham latte with cookie butter cold foam. It was so good I wanted to order a second latte instead I had to settle for stealing sips. The cookie butter cold foam was so good I could have had a whole cup of it. To eat I had a blueberry fritter that was phenomenal. It wasn't too sweet and very flavorful. I loved that women's sports was on all the tv. They really brought the spirit of The Current Team and the fans to this lovely coffee shop. read more

Not to downplay the coffee (because it is really good), but the breakfast burritos deserve their own moment. They're made with pulled pork from local BBQ spot Buck Tui BBQ, and it's so good! Flavor-packed, filling, and honestly the kind of thing you think about after you leave. The staff was kind and answered all of my questions. The space itself is chill and roomy, which makes it a great spot to catch up with friends or settle in with a laptop for a bit. One of those places that works just as well for a quick stop as it does for hanging out. read more

Pitchside is very spacious! Popped in when Both KC Current truck and Big Brothers and Sisters were onsite, it was very lively. There's a good vibe and nice seating options along with TV. My hot large latte, matcha with macadamia nut milk was delicious! read more

Pitchside is a great coffee shop nestled into the crossroads! The building is nice and large with plenty of different types of seating options. I have always had prompt service and the employees here are so nice. I also love their use of several other local bakeries like Luca Bagel or Blackhole Bakery to fill out their menu. The seasonal carrot cake latte with cream cheese cold foam has me returning weekly, and I will be sad when it's gone. read more

I love that Pitchside has opened a brick and mortar location since I was never able to coordinate a visit to their mobile coffee truck. The shop is owned my a group of Current players and the teal colors are prevalent as is Pitchside merch that represents the team but does not infringe on KC Current trademarks. The space is big and bright with lots of seating options, plants, and a very cool mural. They are currently using beans from Post Coffee but are in the works to roast their own in the near future. I was greeted with a hearty welcome from the barista and given a "KC Baby" discount since I was wearing my KC Current cap! I ordered a large iced latte with inhouse made peanut butter / caramel syrup. Very refreshing and tasty while sipping inside on an early autumn day with the garage doors open. I couldn't help but notice a group of ladies sitting at a nearby table that fit the age bracket and physical requirements to be soccer players, so with the help of the internet, I searched the Current's lineup and identified two as proprietor / players - Elizabeth Ball and Kristen Hamilton; very cool. So if you want to have a great beverage and hob-knob with local celebrities, put on your KC Current merch and head on over to 18th and Grand - "KC BABY"! read more

One of my favorite new coffee shops in the crossroads/downtown area! It's a bonus that's it's owned by some of the city's royalty, Kansas City Current players. The flavors here are so yummy and creative and the food they have curated is some of the best in the city. Did someone say Luca bagels?! And a breakfast burrito in collaboration with buck tui bbq. If you're looking for a great expresso tonic with hints of orange blossom and honey then definitely give that a try but, if you're in the mood for something sweeter and creamy I recommend the peanut butter caramel latte or the cinnamon brown sugar latte that is so warm and comforting. The syrups are all made in house and the oat milk they use is top tier. Really you can't go wrong with Pitchside no matter what you order. read more

Finally checked out this new coffee shop opened by 6 KC Current players. Their seasonal menu comes out soon. They have some fun flavors for lattes and the peanut butter caramel, so good! My family and I love our Teal Town ladies so we of course had to hit up the new physical location of this cafe (18th and Grand, KCMO) to give our support and get our drink on! It's a very open area (the opening is basically a garage door), so plenty of air and sunlight on a clear late morning! I am loving the new location downtown! It has a large open space with tables to get work done or gather with friends for a coffee date! The menu offers lots of options including their seasonal menu right now! My go to is the vanilla or mocha latte with a Luca bagel on the side! Visiting Pitchside for their soft launch at the Riverside RedX, I tried to keep my expectations reasonable. It was one of the first days they would be open, and being busy professional athletes, I didn't know what to expect. My expectations were BLOWN out of the water. Not only was everyone so kind, but my latte was without a doubt one of the best I had in a while. The espresso was well extracted, the oat milk had a nice flavor, the texture was perfect, and it was the PERFECT temperature. Additionally, whoever did their branding did a FANTASTIC job. The logo, font, and colors are all so unique and represent the fun energy of the coffee trailer. I was able to bring a few bracelets by for the girlies and they were so kind.
