The outside space is really nice. They decorated it well. It was very chilly the night wet came but the space heaters really helped keep us comfortable. Too bad they mostly have seats with no back support. Hard to relax. The staff were helpful when we needed assistance making our pizzas vegan/dairy and meat free. They have some vegetarian offerings (no vegan specific on the menu) and then we asked them to sub out cow cheese with healthier cashew cheese. Love that they offer cashew cheese. The pizzas could have used more flavor but we added red pepper flakes which helped. read more

Short Review: Really great place to have a group outing. Lots of seating both indoors and out. The food is fine for what it is, and the service is excellent. Long Review: I attended a reunion of old co-workers here who I hadn't seen in a long time. There were about 10 of us and we easily fit around the long tables indoors. Prior reunions had been held in the outdoor patio which has plenty of seating and fire pits. You order outside and grab a number and then they bring your food, which is so much better than having to split the bill many ways at the end of the night. The service is pretty fast in that you get your food in 10 min or less for the most part. The prices are reasonable too. The one thing that keeps them from 5-stars is that the menu has a limited selection, and tastes fine for a casual family restaurant. If you want an upscale meal or specialty items, that's just not this place. I'd still recommend going there and will return again. read more

I saw pics of the bbq chicken pizza and decided to try it. Never been here before so i didn't know anything about their pizzas. It was not good. Crust was way too chewy, pale, not charred even one bit and there was way too much cheese. I'm glad there was a good amount of cilantro, onions, and bbq sauce, but those were the only redeeming qualities. read more

What's going on over there. I just ordered a margarita pizza through GrubHub, which they automatically refunded me thank God. There was barely any tomato sauce on it and somebody thought it'd be a good idea to put ricotta cheese on a margarita pizza! I like basil yes but not when part of the plant is on the pizza, next time just throw the whole thing on there with some dirt... might as well. The highlight was the boneless chicken with garlic/ginger wings. Pretty good to be honest. Additionally, every menu item here is reasonably priced for the area that it's in. IYKYK.... So ordered the Brussels sprouts, Cauliflower pepperoni pineapple Pizza, steak salad,and the mushroom pizza regular. The cauliflower was okay but the regular pizza crust was great! The steak salad was huge w added chicken. Also had beers which were cold and good! The bench table tops outside were a little messy and need some good cleaning all around. Pitfire is a solid 4/5 for me! Here's what I tried so far: - Honey Bear Pizza 5/5 I'd recommend it if you like sweet and spicy (it's not overly spicy btw so if you can't handle spicy like me, don't worry, you'll be okay!) - Field Mushroom Pizza 5/5 if you love mushrooms, go for this one! Some may say it's too salty and I think it's because they add sea salt. You can ask them for no sea salt. - Chicken and Mushroom Pasta 3/5 personally, I would've liked this pasta dish without chicken. I got this one time because I didn't want to order pizza, but I think pizzas are truly their forte. I wasn't too impressed by this pasta dish. - Smothered Cookie with Vanilla Ice Cream 2/5 aaah, this one was so hyped up so I was expecting something 'grand'! The cookie was served on cast iron skillet and at first, I was so impressed and thought the dish was going to be hot and that the cookie dough was going to be kind of soft, with the ice cream melting a bit. NOPE! The cookie was barely warm and the cast iron skillet was... cold -_- and the ice cream on top was just regular ice cream, nothing too crazy here. The field mushroom pizza ($18) was too salty and more mushrooms could've been spread out throughout the pizza. There was too much crust on the edges. We also ordered the pesto chicken pizza ($17.50) which was underwhelming. The cheesy knots ($9.50) were good, but we didn't taste the roasted garlic. The Little Gem Caesar salad ($13) was good. Nice ambience with the outdoor fireplace off to the side. We sat at a dimly lit table away from the music so we could hear each other talk. Last time I was here was before the pandemic. Love Pitfire Pizza! They remind me of Pizzeria Mozza - their pizza crust is so good like the pizzas I ate in Italy, and their pizzas are sized like large personal pizzas. For 2 people who want pizza, I recommend getting 1-3 pizzas depending on how hungry you are. I recently got 3 pizzas delivered from the North Hollywood location: - "Say Cheese" (mozzarella, provolone, Parmesan, tomato sauce) - my favorite, a simple balanced cheese pizza like I'd get in New Jersey - "Zoe's Pepperoni" (fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, basil) - classic cheesy pepperoni hits the spot, though I'd personally go a little lighter on the mozzarella - "Honey Bear" (ricotta, mozzarella, provolone, sausage, honey, Calabrian chile, bee pollen) - spicy, sweet, savory, but the flavors could be more even & consistent throughout I also tried both wing options - boneless chicken wings in buffalo and in garlic ginger. They come battered, fried, and sauced, and both have a spicy kick, though the buffalo was hotter, the garlic ginger was also pretty spicy, I almost couldn't handle it. And the heat doesn't mask the sauces, the flavors of the sauces still come through, and the sauces are evenly distributed on all the wings. Really tasty flavors. I definitely recommend the food here. I'm looking forward to visiting them in person sometime and trying their salads and vegetable sides. read more

First time here and it was great ! I like the way the service is set up: pay then they bring it to you and you find your own seats. I ordered the sausage party which was delicious ! The pizza portions are pretty decent but you can definitely share with someone if you get appetizers too. We got the boneless buffalo chicken wings which were so good especially since they were kind of crispy it didn't feel like basic boneless wings, they were delicious. Pitfire is the best social spot in NoHo. A low-key alternative to the bustle of WeHo or DTLA. Brewery vibes with great group food options and reasonable prices. Great service and attention makes the experience competitive with most places these days. Anchoring the corner of Magnolia and Lankershim for decades. Occasional live music interrupts the R&B soundtrack that chills out anyone cheesy enough to hangout for pizza and a beer. This place deserves more love. Has beer. read more

Review is not for the food, but the facilities and lack of employees. Doing this review while dining in. We have been here a few times before. The last being two weeks ago. At the last visit before today, place was okay, but tables were not being cleaned fast enough after the customers have left. We where long enough to see if the tables will be cleaned within the next 15 minutes, but they were not. Right now, we are dining outside with unclean tables that we have to wipe ourselves. No tables inside are clean even though the customers have been gone at least 15-20 minutes. Every worker is behind the counter and preparing and cooking the food and drinks. Management should hire enough people to at least clean the tables. read more

I came here because my sister was raving about the pizza. I gave it a try. I would've given it a five star if I would've had found broken glass on the bottom of my beer other than that the pizza was delicious. Customer service was great. The ambience was nice. They had a fire Pits and heaters outside for cold evenings. I will definitely come back again for the Pizza and I would for sure look into my beer mug next time do you plan to come back sometimes things happen and they have no control but great Pizza. read more

The pizza was really tasty and so was my drink, but the actual place is dirty. You have to take a menu from the front of the place and since it's outside, they all have dust/dirt on them. The number sign they gave me for my order was also dirty and the chairs weren't super clean. I hope they can improve the overall presentation of the place so it can match the great food. read more

What a lovely discovery for a sunny Sunday at last! My friends and I stopped by there on the way to an event and just loved everything about it. Tons of outdoor seating and affordable dishes. I had the chicken chopped salad which was yummy and filling. My friends had the beets w Greek yogurt, the brussel sprouts, the meatball pasta and some sort of pasta cacciatore dish but they swapped the pasta for cauliflower be said that was the best of the bunch. Plus they had a soda fountain self serve available which was delightful for a sunny day outside dining. Plenty of street and private parking plus friendly service. Will definitely go back! read more

I got the burrata ($15) and my friend got the field mushroom ($14.5). The pizza was big where she and I had leftovers. The burrata was disappointing to me especially because of the goat cheese that was on it; I didn't like it. The field mushroom was absolutely great. It tasted amazing and had good flavors. The place had great vibes! There is a central area that has napkins, cups for water, etc. The place is in a corner of an intersection. Parking may be difficult, but there is street parking.
