I only came here to get a tire patched after getting a large nail stuck in it. Service was superb and the patch has held up without any issues after 4 long months so I decided to give them a glowing review. Here's a small story for others in case you may not be aware on how ugly things get in the event you ever have a nail or screw stuck in your tire. 1. My car dealership where I normally have my vehicle serviced would not perform the patch since they considered it too close to the sidewall. Only option they told me was to BUY a new tire! 2. The Firestone Tire Shop in Manhattan Beach refused to patch since the nail was no longer in the tire and they claimed that it's a huge liability for them to patch the tire if they don't pull the nail out themselves! What a bunch of BS!!! Only option they told me was to BUY a new tire! All these other tire shops give you the run-around with a bunch of nonsense and only want you to replace the whole tire just from getting a nail stuck in it. Pacific Pitt Stop is the only place that did the patch and they did a magnificent job saving me a few hundred dollars by allowing me to keep my almost new tire rather than replace it all due to a nail! I know where I'm definitely going to take my business when the time comes to replacing or servicing my tires. Lamare is the best! I needed to replace one tire on my car, that was a somewhat rare size (I came to find out after calling all over town), and very expensive. I was really hoping to save a little money by getting a used tire since I only needed the one. Everywhere I called wanted to charge between $160-325.00 for a new tire with another $25.00 for installation. They also said that I would never find a used one. When I called Pacific Rim, I was resigned to spending $200 for a brand new tire. Lamare got on the phone and saved the day. Not only did he quote me $160.00 out the door, he called their other shop for me, found me a barely (and I mean barely, the thing still has nubs!) used tire and got me out the door for $90.00! Lamare and John were so nice, super honest and took amazing care of me. Cars are not my area of expertise and it would have been easy to take advantage of me. These guys were just the opposite. They worked extra hard to save me money, and got me in and out of there in 20 minutes flat. I highly recommend Pacific Pitt Stop, and I will never go anyplace else for my tires. read more

I discovered I had a flat on the way to a very important appointment. Drove on the flat to these guys and got there right at 8am. They didn't have my tire at that location but said they could get it in 2 hours. They put on my spare ( bicycle tire) so I could make my appointment. Didn't charge me anything, told me when to come back, which I did. I pulled in and they new exactly who I was just by looking at my car (not even sure I'd exited my car before they started to change the tire. Lol) I don't even think I was sitting down for two minutes and they told me they were done. I was amazed! The price was very fare. This is my second time there. These guys are truly AWESOME. I stopped here this morning after my low tire warning light came on and was so impressed with the service I received. They pulled my car in right away and carefully checked each tire, pulling one off to take a closer look. I was first introduced to pit stop by my pharmacist at St. Antony .for tires about a year ago. Tues took it in due engine trouble. Engine light on . Kept lunging and stalling. They found a problem by puting it on the machine to give them codes. It all went so smooth and easy! Very nice mechanics and front desk gal. I was so happy with the sevice. Ah oh it still started stalling and engine light on. No problem! So nice! Just brought it back and they figured out the codes may have not been correct. Something like that. Wow i was treated so well and full trust in these nice employees . Second time gave me ride home and picked me up. Even called in middle of day to let me know still looking for the problem. You never know when a woman brings in her car if they will give u run around or not. Not Pacific Pit Stop. I will never bring my car anywhere else! The kindness of everyone blew me away! Gal at front desk was so nice! They worked very hard to find second problem the codes may have steered them wrong. I appriciate all they did for me considering i am overwhelmed with 2 operations comming up that will be costly. Time to take some things back to target and kohls .ha ha.true story! Like many others, I had to get a tire repair completed. I saw all of the high ratings and was not sure if they were fake or not, however, I went anyway to get a slow leak in my tire repaired. I was in/out in less than 20 minutes with my tire repair being completed. I paid the $20 and I was on my way. Had a bummer flat tire and found a nail as the culprit. Came to Pacific Pitt Stop in El Segundo at 5pm on Thurs, and the place was not busy. A guy helped me right away: he jacked up the car, unbolted the tire, removed the rim, removed the nail, slapped on sealant , put the tire back on the rim and paid for the service all within 5 minutes of time. Superb speed and quality service. Found out they do suspensions and alignments as well. Would come back again. read more

How can a tire store get 5 stars, and who would care enough to write a review? That was my question. So I found a nail in the tire of my Mercedes and decided to give them a try since it hadn't gone flat yet. Now I have my answer, because they are awesome, that's why. No appointment, I went from my desk at work had the tire repaired and back to my desk in exactly 28 minutes! I brought a book and got about a page read before they were done! I also had a little vibration on the freeway and know how much the dealers charge for balancing so I asked them. Now there is no vibration at all. Fast, reasonable and they do a good job. Took longer for me to drive from the Chevron/McD's at the corner of El Segundo and Sepulveda than it did for them to do the work. Staff is courteous, professional, and personable. Unlike the previous shop which mounted tires for me, these guys removed the 2 previous sets of wheel balance weights before rebalancing. I appreciate this attention to detail. It literally took ten minutes to finish repairing two of my tires. they found the nails in them within five minutes of me arriving and then five minutes later they were done. they found two nails in one tire and still only charged $15 bucks for each tire repair! this was awesome. This place is awesome - I brought my car in this morning (after an AWFUL experience at Pep Boys), and they not only charged me $80 for what Pep Boys wanted $185, but also told me much of the work Pep Boys told me I needed wasn't necessary at all (what a shocker). They were so friendly, clearly knowledgable, and FAST (it took them 30 minutes to align my car, balance the two front tires, and move the front tires to the back, whereas Pep Boys told me it would be 2 hours). Find it hard to believe that every review prior to mine is nothing but stars across the board. While yes, they do good work and can be trusted, they are sorely lacking in customer service. They are nice and drop everything if you stop in with an emergency such a nail in the tire. But, where my rating of "Meh. I've experienced better" comes into play is when further contact is required. If you leave your car for an extended type of service and expect them to call and tell you it is ready they will not. Not thrilled with the customer service beyond a tire patch or an oil change, they simply don't have it in them to follow up with the customers. I suggest the owner invest some of his time and money in customer service training for his employees. A more hands on approach by the owner would certainly help. There seems to be a bit of confusion between the bookkeeper and the mechanics. I'm sure both are trying their best but each tell the customers something different. read more
