Extremely DISAPPOINTED with the food quality and customer service! Placed an order for 2 THIN crust pizza through Grub hub - 1 LARGE (14") pepperoni and 1 MEDIUM (12") barbecue chicken. Instead, received both pizzas in SMALL (10") size and both with REGULAR crust. Also, noticed that the sauce on the chicken pizza was light orange in color and not the dark brown color that Barbecue sauce typically is. So, immediately reached out to Grub Hub support and they contacted the restaurant to find out what happened. The restaurant owner was extremely UNHELPFUL and actually had the nerve to say he prepared both pizzas himself and they were the correct size and crust when they left the restaurant and instead asked for pictures! It is one thing to make a mistake, whether unknowingly or on purpose, and apologize and try to make things right. But it is completely UNACCEPTABLE to be SO arrogant and rude and just outrightly deny any possibility of a mistake, especially dealing with your customers! This is not the first time we have ordered from Pizza 101, but after this incident will make it a point to NEVER order again and will discourage others in the family who order regularly as well. read more

It's been a while since I've been so disappointed in a restaurant. We decided to try it out because it has good reviews. The biggest problem was the pizza we ordered had numerous toppings not listed on the menu. We got the Morning Star which did not have olives, tomatoes, or corn on the menu but the pizza we got did. I hate olives and had to sit there picking it off. It's just unprofessional to not list what's on the pizza. What if someone has a food allergy? This place has always been one of my favorite pizza joints. Today's visit really had me reconsider if I wanted to return again. Coming in, I noticed dirty counters and tables. I went to the restroom to wash up- toilet paper was out, sink looked filthy, and the floor was dirty. I ordered my pizza then sat down to wait. The guy that took my order, rang up my order, handled my money, then went straight to the kitchen to start on the pizza dough. He started putting on toppings WITHOUT even wearing gloves. HE DIDN'T even wash his hands after touching money and now was handling food! So unhygienic! A few minutes later, the phone rings and the man takes the call. This time he washes his hands but doesn't use soap. The sink is right by the counter so it was very clear how unhygienic the employees were. I felt disgusted when I finally got my pizza. While i've had their pizza in the past, today i decided to try the buffalo wings. Worst decision ever. To start, the wings were very dry. They had very little sauce on them. Sadly, having mediocre wings was not the worst part of my experience. It was the after effects. After eating them, I did not feel well at all. I looked up my symptoms only to find out that I had contracted food poisoning. Needless to say, that was the worst experience I have ever had with wings. The pizzas seemed different here so my husband and I thought we'd try them. So we took a medium half and half of Gyro and Kebab Madness. We took thin crust. The pizza was ok, way less salt. The crust was nice and crispy. Then we ordered the cheese garlic bread and honestly I've had better garlic bread elsewhere. The pizza is pretty decent for a quick lunch, but I've literally sat here and watch the guy make 4 pizzas with his BARE HANDS after handling payment transactions and not washing his hands. Pretty sure that's a health code violation, especially when you stick you hands into the cheese to sprinkle some on the pizzas and throw the leftover back in...... It goes in the oven at 200+ degrees which kills off any kind of bacteria and for the record the health department doesn't care if you handle raw dough without gloves because it's literally flour and water..... Very disappointed at this place. We ordered pizza and wings about a month ago and it was pretty decent. The food was pretty good. This time around, we ordered the same pizza and wings. Except this time, the wings were burnt, over cooked, dry, and for some reason.. they were miniature sized. Oh, and they got the order wrong as well. The pizza was even worse. Completely over cooked and dry. When is the last time you ate a dry pizza? NEVER cause that's unheard of. How is a pizza DRY? Anyways, the pepperoni was burnt as hell. This is a legit pizza place in Sugar Land that offers a variety of halal fusion styled pizzas. The Meat Overload is hands down our favorite with the smoked beef and pepperoni combo winning all the way. The Kebab topping is decent as well and the Supreme, while lacking an X-factor that one would expect, is still solid nonetheless. I have yet to try their Chicken Tikka Pizza but the menu does offer a diverse array of chicken options. Speaking of chicken, the wings come in three sauce options -- garlic, sweet BBQ, and buffalo. The sweet BBQ is hands down the way to go. Pizzas can be ordered as either pan or thin crust, giving everyone an extra option to mix it up. They also offer lunch time specials, including sandwiches, but overall the pricing is reasonable even aside from specials. I've been here twice and I've had pizza to go at my house or at friends homes numerous times and this place does not disappoint one bit. Everything will time the pizza is super fresh and delicious and the crust is a perfect combination of crispy and soft. The ingredients always taste very fresh and the combinations are to die for. I will definitely be back with my husband who is a pizza connoisseur. I think my absolute favorite is the chicken pesto and the pepperoni. I really like how they will do multiple toppings on one pizza so I can easily split if necessary and try out all the amazing flavors they have. I would say this is one of the most delicious tasty crispy soft chewy pizzas with chicken and pesto I've ever had in my entire life, and I've had pizza quite a bit!!! The pepperoni is also very delicious it's plain cheese and pepperoni which is the most ideal combination and now I know what I've been missing out for years and years because I am not able to eat pepperoni and any other pizza place. The place is nice and clean inside.. They have only been open for about a month. The employees are very attentive and friendly. Tyrese was our cashier today he had good customer service... After we got our food he check up on us to see if everything was ok. Naveen I believe was his name came by and asked how our food tasted. I think he was the boss man.. He was cracked a joke about my hunny having nice muscular arms.. And not to smack him if the food wasn't good. Silly guy!! The food was very fresh and tasty. We enjoyed that the food wasn't salty at all and greasy.. I liked the crust on the pizza it was crispy but not dry.. The toppings they use here were very fresh.. The Negatives: -They don't slice it thru all the way -It takes FOREVER to make a pizza. They may be understaffed but I called in an order at 7.30pm and when I got there at 8.30 the owner/manager told us 15 mins. 20 mins later I asked what the status was and he said 15mins. That's when I decided to leave. -Management seemed really unorganized/overwhelmed. He kept giving inaccurate wait times just to get people off his back. He really showed his frustration as people were waiting for food. -Pizzas are quite small (even large ones) I will give this place another (3rd) shot. I don't understand why this place has such a good review. I walked in to place order at 5:40pm. I told them I will pick up at 7:15pm. When I arrived, they said the printer didn't print out my order. They ask me to wait for 15 mins. I saw the review pictures. They put a lot of topping on their pizza all the way to the edge. My son doesn't like to eat the edge of the pizza. So I want to give it a try. I ordered half meat overload and half gyro boss. It came out with very sorry few piece of meat. I showed up to pick up the food, I called and asked kindly if he can put it in the trunk of my car, he said " no you have to come inside and it up." I saw one employee specifically scratched his beard and chin area and then going back to making the pizza which could have potentially mine! This is a very centrally located, clean, organized and convenient pizza place. I am the typical late night customer-who goes in on ordering both the pizza and wings. I love the variety of of halal toppings and wings they offer. In my opinion both the lemon pepper and buffalo wings are a must have. I usually order the chicken thikka pizza but I have ventured out and tried the pesto and gyro pizzas, and they all are up to my pizza standards! Welcome to Sugar Land, Pizza 101. We've been in desperate need for halal pizza in probably one of the most dense areas of halal eaters in Houston. I stopped by there today during their soft opening. I ordered half buffalo chicken/half meat overload. The entire menu looks great. The restaurant looks very professional. Their branding and setup is on par with any major pizza franchise. They have online ordering and delivery. I was really impressed. The owner was very friendly and made my pizza promptly while I waited. They ran it through the oven twice to make it well done, the way I like it The pizza was delicious! Very different than other halal pizza places in Houston. This has a thicker pan crust, similar to Pizza Hut. All the ingredients tasted very fresh. Thin crust is also an option. I wish Pizza 101 the best of luck in Sugar Land!
