Biscuit Trio
Robyn D.

The first time I came here and ai find out they are closing in two weeks. That is really unfortunate as the place was adorable! We came because their entire menu is 100% gluten free- what a find! The staff were all friendly and there was a woman playing live music! Parking is easy as there is a garage and they validate. The food was all good, but the biscuit trio was perfection! Sad to see them go.

Overall not bad! The chilaquiles and biscuit trio were definitely the best things we had. The other foods were not bad, they were like 3.75/5. The service.. was slow though nice. Hard to flag down waiters while they were super friendly. Perhaps they were just short staffed this morning? Would like to give them the benefit of the doubt. Food took a while to get to us.

Cute family owned cafe/restaurant on the first floor of the business center of Irvine. Spotted this cute place as I was driving out from equinox so had this placed pinned in my mind to try one day. Well, today was that day! First off, the location is just perfect. Right in front is a huge lawn with tons of shaded seating, large pond, and beautiful fountain. Gives a very serene feel where you can sit and relax before heading back up to finish up your work day. It was around 1045 and they were serving both breakfast and lunch menu. After much thought I decided to try their short rib sandwich with a side salad (can get fries if you choose)...and let me tell you, the sandwich was very gourmet with its thinly sliced and perfectly cooked (not dry or overly seasoned) short ribs, seasoned with horseradish crème fraîche, and caramelized onions sandwiched between French baguette. Sooooo good. The salad came with a house balsamic dressing which was perfectly matched. This was very good. Also ordered raspberry lemon tea. Overall had a good meal. Would love to try the other dishes next time.

Such a great find! Loved the cozy vibe, warm service, and the fact that everything here is completely gluten free. You'd never even know it! Everything tastes amazing and feels so thoughtfully made. The staff and owner were so friendly and welcoming, and you can really tell they care about the details. It's the kind of spot that makes you want to come back right away. Highly recommend Maldon's if you're looking for a place in Irvine that's delicious, relaxed, and full of charm. 5 stars all around!

Cinnabon

All gluten free! Gluten everything! Everything is celiac ppl can't have in the real world, you can have here, in this beautiful and delicious unicorn of a restaurant I found accidentally! They have French toast, cheeseburgers, fries, Cinnabon and so much more! The staff are awesome! All the staff are super friendly and helpful. The place is beautiful..

Hours are not accurate - closed on Thursdays for dinner.

Drove an hour and a half from LA to try this spot on a Thursday at 6:00 pm for dinner - their yelp hours say they're open for dinner on Thursdays thru Saturdays. They were, in fact, not open. No idea what the actual food, service, or ambiance is like; if we ever happen upon this place again I would hope we could get to write a review about it. Two stars because it sucked to get really excited about a nice gluten free restaurant and to spend 90 minutes wasting time and gas to find that somebody didn't update their yelp hours.

I visited Maldon's for the first time on a Saturday around 2pm. I was impressed when I walked around the corner from the parking garage and heard they had a live musician. I love the decor and overall aesthetic of this restaurant too. The inside especially is so visually appealing. One thing that was sort of strange to me is that the cute water cups were plastic and not glass, yet everything else was glass. My friend got to the restaurant a bit before me and decided to wait to order. Once I got there and sat down, it seemed like our server was no where in sight. It was weird to me because all the servers seem to be hustling in and out of the kitchen, but there were not many patrons in the restaurant. I wonder if they were doing a catering order or something else. Once our server came to take our order, I was a little disappointed that it seemed like they were out of a lot of things. I understand time of day plays into that though. Also, I went to order the Wedge Salad, and the server said they don't have that. And I pointed to the menu and showed her. She was actually very accommodating and said that they have all the ingredients and can make it anyways, but she think I may have gotten an outdated menu. I think it was so nice that they did make the wedge and it was really good and it was huge too. I actually was really impressed!

Florentine Crepe ($13.75) and Nutella Crepe ($12.25)

Came here on a Saturday for lunch. Made a reservation, which didn't seem needed. The wait was long to get seated, to order, and to get our food. They might have been understaffed because this location will be closing soon. Got the Florentine crepe ($13.75) and Nutella crepe ($12.25) to split with a friend. The crepes were large and filling, but the crepe itself was too thick for my preference and also had too much of a bitter taste (maybe it was too much cinnamon in the crepe batter)? The Florentine crepe didn't have much protein in it, and the Nutella crepe didn't have enough Nutella in it.

Wow. Came here with a big group of friends for dinner this Saturday and it was a big party of 7-9 of us but we got seated right away, which was amazing. This place gets packed for good reason so make sure you make a reservation if you can. First off, I'm a regular here but it's just amazing to see how much effort they put into their new menu items! Chef Morgan and the family really care about the ingredients and preparation - and it shows. Almost everything we asked about is made in house including the jams and mayonnaise. Had a beef bourguignon that was to die for (and I also had to look up how to spell just now). The crust was immaculate and the flavors were bold. Lobster salad had a wonderful texture and subtle citrus kick to it. And the bread was a big hit surprisingly with my whole table who are NOT gluten free normally and very picky eaters. Escargot. Scared me at first, but now it's a minimum of 2 orders for the table from now on. Buttery garlic goodness. We ordered extra bread to dip. To top it off the wine + atmosphere and a delectable dessert of strawberry creme brulee was so good that we ended up ordering another bottle and 2 more brûlées. (Nailed the accents on that one by the way). 11/10

An entirely gluten free restaurant serving French cuisine? Hello, yes! I came here for brunch and had the fluffiest French toast. We also tried the charmingly-named popover carousel, which was fluffy, flavorful heaven. Absolutely delicious. Service was friendly and welcoming, and the decor conveys classic French bistro. The location is secluded in the midst of business buildings, making this place a bit of a hidden gem. An excellent choice for brunch. I'll be back to try the rest of the menu for sure!

This place definitely gives off sitting on a patio in France vibes! Super cute and quaint brunch restaurant at the bottom of a corporate building. Ambiance & Aesthetic: 8.5/10 - Quiet, laidback French inspired bistro with a relaxing vibe, never feels like there's a rush. Has indoor, bar and outdoor seating. Service is a 7/10 they are very kind and quick however with the host stand being outside with no host we sometimes wait 10 minutes before being greeted. I recommend you just step inside to be seated. The OC omelette was a 6.5/10 where the egg was tasty, I think cooking the gruyere cheese releases a lot of grease so my egg was a bit wet, but the toast, butter, and fresh fruit compote were a 8.5/10 the bread is fresh and you can tell everything is made in house. The great thing about this place too is they also sell gluten free breads for you to take home and bake!

The ambiance is beautiful very french and the location is sweet. However you have to park in the parking garage and it's tucked in a business complex. it took some time to find but feels like it won't disappoint!!

Absolutely amazing experience at Maldoon's Brasserie. As someone with celiac disease, it's rare and incredibly refreshing to find a restaurant where everything on the menu is 100% gluten-free--and still so delicious. Every dish was full of flavor, thoughtfully prepared, and clearly made with care. The service was outstanding from start to finish--attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. To top it off, the owner personally stopped by our table to check on us, which made the experience feel even more special and welcoming. Exceptional food, amazing service, and a place where you can truly relax and enjoy your meal without worry. We will absolutely be back!

The cooking uses quality ingredients and love and care. I was here on business by myself and was seated immediately and after a quick look at the menu decided on the devil's cut ribeye a steak. It comes with a massive amount of oven, roasted potatoes and green beans. I also got a side salad with it as well which was way too much food for one person. The entire thing was big enough for two normal or maybe even three light eaters. The steak was excellent with a sweet coffee rub with a slightly sweet mapley taste. I could only finish about half and save the rest for the next day. Even though I was full, I decided to try the fried apple pie because it was recommended by many other reviewers. It was actually amazing. It was the dish that was highly recommended by the server and she was not wrong. The ice cream on top was probably House made and the pie itself was like a gourmet version of a hostess apple pie but of course with much higher quality ingredients and it was delicious. The vibe of the restaurant is exciting. It is a fun place to visit with the visual aspects such as the bird cages in the window case. Oak barrels used for aging whiskey are set around and the general vibe was very attractive. Everyone was having a great time and making quite a lot of noise from all the conversation and the music, but people were really enjoying themselves. If you want to have a quiet conversation with someone, this is probably not your place, but if you want a fun time with that kind of vibe, it is an excellent place. I recommend Bosscat highly.

L&L is located in a huge industrial complex with tons of parking (not sure how it is during weekdays though when the other businesses are open). You can scan their QR code of items - just wish prices were posted too. L&L roasts their beans and after just one sip, you can taste the difference! I had a vanilla latte while hubby had their toffee latte. As it turns out they make their own toffee syrup which is amazing!!! They also have a great selection of foods- burritos, avo toast, quiche, a variety of bagels and a nice assortment of scones, muffins and croissants. We shared a chorizo burrito filled with potato, egg, cheese, chorizo then toasted. It came with 2 different sauces - and cool and creamy cilantro and a smokey mocajete. This too was delicious and we were so glad to have ordered this. Staff were super friendly, welcoming and very helpful. All good vibes here! Look forward to returning!!!

I think I've only had like a small instance where the internet got a little slow but other than that this is a pleasant spot to visit. You can also rent a study/conference room from the church. I sent a message before because I needed a spot to do my final oral exam virtually. There is a small fee but unfortunately no one got back to me. There is a QR code that takes you to a site where you fill out a form to request the space. Now, these requests are handled specifically by the church not the coffee spot. Although it is in the same area. The staff is super friendly. The restrooms are always clean. Handicap friendly. Not necessarily kid friendly because a lot of people come here to study and work, and its also all concrete and hazards for the small ones, but I have seen people do like babies on strollers type of gathering.

The cafe markets that it's made with ceremonial matcha. At the first sip, the matcha is bold and on the grassier tones. Had to wait for the ice to melt a bit for it to be a tab more mild. I do love that you're able to taste the actual matcha and not just the oat milk. Sometimes the oat milk can over power some drinks. Wish they had an option for einspanner matcha. A thick salty cold foam would be delicious on top. Overall, a good spot for quality matcha. I would come back to try the other flavors. I've been reading the blueberry matcha is very popular.
