Yum!! Such a great pizza spot. If you're ordering for pick up, it will take about an hour but it's definitely worth it. We usually get half pepperoni, half buffalo chicken and it is, chefs kiss!! This is a toss up for me. I didn't like it at when we had it delivered but when we at it in the restaurant it was great. The salad was great the pizza was solid. Went in for a quick lunch. I did not know that you could get slices of their specialty pizzas. The pizza slices were good but the quality declines the longer they sit in there. Still, pretty good! Stopped by this evening for a pie. We ordered a bbq chicken pizza and an antipasto salad(no pic of salad) Bbq chicken pizza (somebody snagged a piece before I could get to it) was really good, had a very slight bite to it in the bbq sauce which I thought was really tasty. Good preparation of the pie as well. Nicely done! The antipasto salad was well prepared and had great toppings. Good cuts of the meat, cheese, tomato, croutons, olives(not my fave-but party wanted it) but besides the last one it was really good. Dressing was delicious- classic Italian. We've upgraded to ordering a whole pizza each time so we are forced to take leftovers back home with us! Pizza is flavorful and pretty thin. Established in 1976.

The Original Sgt. Pepperoni's Pizza Store first opened its doors in 1976 in Newport Beach and soon became the epicenter of all things fun and all things family. With new ownership taking control in October 2013, Sgt. Pepperoni's is once again a community gathering place, spreading love through pizza and creating cherished memories. Meet the Business Owner: Jeff R and Andy H.

Sgt. Pepperoni’s Pizza Store is proudly family-owned and operated by two local families: Jeff and Erica Roberts, and Andy and Grace Hong. As longtime members of the Newport Beach community, we’re committed to creating a welcoming place where friends and families can gather over great food. Being a small, family-run business means we’re personally involved in every part of the restaurant. What is the house made vegan sauce and what kind of vegan cheese do you use?

We use Follow Your Heart vegan cheese and our house made sauce is the same as what we use on our pies - but we use the vegan cheese instead of fresh parm. I hope that helps.

It was my first time visiting Pizzeria Amore today, located in a shopping complex in Laguna Woods…read moreI'd never been to before, and I chose to drive longer to visit this store than it would've taken me to get to Slice House in Fountain Valley by a Pizza World Champion, because my experience at Slice House last weekend wasn't what I really wanted in a cool pizza shop (a little too much of a bar vibe) and the other pizza places nearby with a nice vibe offer really great slices, but I wanted something filling or satisfying that would be affordably priced and made with quality standards I could trust. I was actually blown away by how genuine and warm of a person the owner was, and the New York style pizza slices on offer did not disappoint at all - they were fantastic & really hit the spot!! The veggie pizza slice was really wonderful with lots of clean, fresh, and properly-cooked veggies on top with a nice coat of mozzarella pizza cheese. The cheese slice itself also hits differently, in that because there aren't any veggies taking away the heat from the cheese component during the cooking process, the cheese cooks really nicely with an almost hot temperature and the tomato sauce under the gooey cheese layer was really amazingly delicious too. The cheese got to be a bit much in some bites towards the end so I pulled little bits of cheese off and it was really nicely integrated and came off with little bits of mini cheese pulls too. The crust was simply out of this world amazing, it was like sourdough almost but super soft and the perfect density, almost like a pull apart garlic knot kind of a texture (without the garlic). It was so impressive that I likened the crust here to Eric Kayser's patented liquid sourdough that his Parisian-based Maison Kayser is famous for. There were two other staff that I saw and/or heard during my visit today, and all three of them looked like such wonderful people, I really wish I could do a catering order with them or something, because their pizza is kind of a lot like Costco pizza, but way better quality so would present a lot better too! There are also a lot of more creative options to choose from, including Hawaiian and Chicken Alfredo, as just a couple of examples. Another really cool thing is that the TV inside their shop was playing a full feature film from The Lord of the Rings trilogy, which absolutely captivated me and just goes to show what trailblazers these guys at Pizzeria Amore really are. In short, the NY style pizza here is incredibly tasty and gets one of the top spots for pizza value... they might not always be crowded because Laguna Woods isn't a highly frequented area by those who don't usually have business there, but with everything else really making a lot of sense for this brand, I think the owner(s) could focus on maybe tightening up the menu design to be easier to read and choose from, having a more highly visible decal for their front entrance (seemed a little faded), add a few more NY decor pieces inside (there were some nice ones already there but more would give a better wow factor), and then market their brand as one of the best choices for NY style pizzas in OC that specializes in catering, events, etc. Also, they could look into helping someone who wants to sell something with a store in a store concept so that the commercial space is fully maximized. I really love this place & definitely am looking to visit at least once a month (since I only eat out sparingly on weekends) - thank you for the awesomeness!!

I literally came into Sgt. Pepperoni Pizza a couple of weeks ago and had such a great experience that I've literally been craving it ever since. I finally had to come back, and I'm SO glad I did! I got three pieces of pizza this time, and the Margherita pizza was absolutely TO DIE FOR! The food is incredible, but honestly, the biggest reason I wanted to leave this review is because of Paige and Sophia. These two deserve a HUGE shoutout. From the moment I walked in, Paige and Sophia were both incredibly welcoming, friendly, attentive, and just genuinely fun to interact with. They made the whole experience feel so personal. You can tell when someone is simply doing their job versus when someone actually cares about the customers and takes pride in where they work--and Paige and Sophia absolutely fall into that second category. Seriously, someone needs to give these girls a raise! They were THAT good. They were helpful without being overbearing, attentive without making you feel rushed, and just had such positive energy. Even little interactions with them made a difference. They made me feel like a valued customer, and that kind of customer service is becoming harder and harder to find. I was already impressed when I came in a couple of weeks ago, but coming back and having another great experience really confirmed it for me. Paige and Sophia are the kind of employees that make people want to come back. You can have amazing food, but having employees who are genuinely kind, welcoming, and passionate about giving customers a great experience takes a restaurant to another level. And YES--the pizza absolutely delivered again. I got three slices, and the Margherita was easily the standout. But honestly, Paige and Sophia deserve just as much recognition as the food because they made my visit memorable. Just had an incredible meal at Sgt Pepperoni's Pizza Store in Aliso Viejo! This pizza spot is in the best location -- you can grab a slice, walk around, and even do a little shopping. The pizza is always fresh and so mouthwatering, with the perfect crust every time. I've been coming to SGT Pepper with my family for years, and it's hands down one of the best pizza spots around. My go-to order is the BBQ pizza with an IPA -- always a solid combo. Today they also had a thoughtful Mother's Day gift for all the moms, which was really heartwarming and showed how much they care about their customers and community. Really kind folks. I came in with cash and tried to buy a slice and a coke, but because of Covid they only accept credit. Two people, TWO PEOPLE at the counter offered to just pay with their own credit card, and I got a free slice. It was hot and greasy like a pizza should be, crispy and cheesy etc... and they really know their stuff. Can not recommend more!!! read more

Sgt. Pepperoni's Pizza is a good lunch spot with chill vibes. The atmosphere is super casual and relaxed...perfect for catching a game. They've got a huge selection of pizzas, and while they can be a bit oily, they still hit the spot. It's definitely a solid lunch stop.
