We walk in for a date night (with a reservation) and the staffer that welcomed us was very nice until he saw an old white guy looking around and the staffer dropped us and catered to the old white dude... SIGH. Turns out old white guy had a reservation but no one in his party was present but he was catered to first.... (Eye roll). So we waited for someone to seat us unsure if the same staffer would seat us, which he did. Our server was awesome and friendly, which didn't quite make up for the low-key racist snaffu earlier. We were seated at this awkward table by the wall circuit breaker (shrug I dunno wth). The bolognese was good and I got the lobster risotto which was okay. The lobster meat was generous but the risotto was just alright. A bit bland and had huge chunks of tomato in it which was hard to eat. The food was overpriced and quality was average but not exceptional. I've been to other similar restaurants that have more affordable prices and better quality food. This was a fun find. We were in town for business, and needed a cozy meal. I found this place on yelp, and I was so happy I did! It's located in an office building. But when you walk in, you're transported. The ambience is warm and inviting. The lighting is perfect. Dark wood, beautiful. They have a beautiful outdoor area with gorgeous lighting. The service itself is outstanding: attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable without being pushy (which is the perfect balance). We had dinner here last night (I've been before, but some in our group hadn't). We started with Caesar salads and cocktails, all of which were excellent. There were six of us and everyone ordered a different entrée--every single dish was outstanding. To finish, we shared three desserts and coffee, and everything was just as impressive. Incredible experience all the way around. In my quest for the best Italian restaurants in Seattle I made a reservation here a couple of weeks ago. Parking was directly adjacent in a parking garage and they do validate for four hours. The restaurant was warm and inviting with an intimate atmosphere. White table cloths adorn each table, and the smell wafting through the restaurant from the kitchen was heavenly. We had the Fettuccine Al Pesto Con Gamber and Penne Salmon. Each dish was perfectly cooked. The salmon was moist with a hint of pink, and the pasta was perfect. The shrimp were not overcooked, the sauce was rich and flavorful, and the pasta was incredible. We saved just enough room for dessert and split a crème brûlée. Perfectly done with a beautiful crust and adorned with mint and fruits. Our server, Mike, was fantastic. It's very expensive, so save your money and save this place for a special occasion, or try for a spontaneous table in the bar. I had the rigatoni... SO SO GOOD! I wish I could cook pasta like this at home. I'm pretty good at pasta, but I'm not this good. My husband got the angel hair pasta with clams and mussels... And the angel hair was absolutely incredible... I'm wondering how they make this pasta so teeny tiny. It was also done perfectly. My angel hair would clump... These people are pros. Patricia, our waitress was fantastic. She put up with 1000 questions and helped us make our decisions and everything was perfection. Her Service was superb. For our appetizer I had the prosciutto and melon and a Caesar salad while the wife had the burratta. Prosciutto and melon was traditional and very good. Came with honey dew instead of cantaloupe but was really fresh and really refreshing Caesar salad was also good, very crisp lettuce and a nice dressing Burratta was good, fresh and tasty For our meals I had the lobster pappardelle and my wife had the halibut. Always judge an Italian place by the meatballs and how they cook pasta and this place did the pasta correctly. I loved it and ate it all and wished I had more The halibut was a little overcooked, so it was dry in places. We sat outside on a cool night and the fire pit made the space feel cozy and comfortable. The décor is beautiful, and I really loved the outdoor setup. Random detail, but I noticed how big the tables were compared to most restaurants, which made the experience feel more spacious and relaxed. We started with the La Caprese, which was so fresh. The basil tasted like it had just been cut, the tomatoes were sweet and perfectly in season, and the smoked buffalo mozzarella felt like the perfect marriage between burrata and mozzarella. I had a wonderful experience here! I have been to the Bellevue Carmine's quite a bit and fell in love with the ambiance there. I'm happy to report that Seattle's Carmine's is just as wistful and charming and they capture that same magic in the air. I've now tried both their patio and main dining room and loved both! If you have never been my two favorite must haves are the duck (comes with the best cherry sauce of my life) and the pesto and prawn pasta. I also think that Carmine's has the best Hugo Spritz and Espresso Martini in town, just my opinion. Can't wait to come back. The valet is free that sparks a lot of joy. The food, service, and ambiance were simply superb. We were seated in the bar area which turned out to be great as it provided a more intimate experience for us. The main dining room was jumping as was our bar area but it still had an intimate feel as there were less diners. White table cloths were in abundance as that is not a touch you see in many eateries in the Seattle metro area these days. Our server, Diego (also the bartender) was pulling double duty serving food and drinks at the bar and surrounding tables. He pulled it off with a little help from his colleagues. We started the evening off with a couple glasses of wine (Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc) followed by the Bruschetta Trio ( Cherry Tomato, Capers,Garlic Confitura and Basil; Black Pepper, Goat Cheese, and Tapenade; and Avocado, Smoked Salmon, and Crème Fraichea), couple salads (Caesar and Campagnola), followed by the main entrees, Fettucine Al Pesto, and the fish of the day special, Seabass with Risotto and Green Pea Puree. All were excellently prepared. We ended the lovely evening with a slice of Red Velvet Cake and Tiramisu. We will definitely return as there were other items from the menu that I saw on other tables around us that I'd like to try. A much needed updated review from me on this venue. Since I first reviewed this place 10 years ago, I got to visit at a minimum 10 more times for various different reasons and occasions. My initial review on this place was not very positive. I think it was mostly due to the rude personnel that worked there at that time. My experience since has been much much better. The food here is very consistent. Whether you like the flavors or not is subjective but what is impressive is how consistent each dish is. I absolutely love their Costata Di Maiale Impanata (fried pork chop over spaghetti!) and Scaloppine Di Vitello (veal with capers and lemon!). I am also a big fan of their mushroom bisque - which is not on their regular menu but they seem to always offer this soup every time I visited. The prices are actually very reasonable compared to other similar restaurants. Please note though that I have never been here for dinner. read more

My cousin visited from out of town and I hadn't seen her in 3 years. Otherwise I would have complained last night at dinner. I had the risotto with steak bits. The risotto was dark gray and undercooked and the steak bites were full of gristle. I had 4 bites and that was enough for me. Then the one of the service members was clearing the entire table and reaching in our faces while we were still sitting and enjoying drinks. She even spilled my cousins martini and didn't even offer to replace it. The ambiance was amazing but the risotto was awful and one of the service members was rude. The restaurant was very pretty and fairly busy for midweek dinner. Now for the food. We started with a shrimp appetizer in a marinara sauce. Very tasty. My wife had veal picatta and I had the duck breast. Both were very tasty and the duck was a huge portion. We were stuffed, but couldn't resist the cannoli for dessert. It was my first time here, to celebrate my wife's birthday. I placed a reservation online and indicated that it was her birthday. There were quite a few birthdays around but it seems our celebration was the only one not prioritized. For the couples around us, the staff seemed to know that everyone else was celebrating and received a card but we were left a little disappointed in this aspect. Although not necessarily, it did make us feel excluded among the tables around us. First I will say, we sat outside and the ambiance is beautiful, perfect for a romantic date night and free validated parking right around the corner. For our service, our server didn't introduce himself to us, although he was nice and patient with us mispronouncing all the dishes. Now for the food! We had the bruschetta Trio, it was quite tasty, I wouldn't say it's anything to write home about, you can definitely buy all these ingredients from the store and put it together yourself for half the price. My wife and I would've given it a 6.5/10 (10 being the highest) And to the pasta, I had the fettuccine with pesto and shrimp, it was delicious. I would definitely get that again (8/10). My wife had the spaghetti ortolano, with goat cheese, tomatoes, spinach and pine nuts. It was extremely underwhelming for the price we paid for it. It was very much the same though as the bruschetta, that we could buy this and make it at home. It was lacking in flavor and the spinach was very bitter. (4/10) Overall a nice ambiance, could be a nice experience and delicious meal, maybe we got the wrong things, but I wouldn't rush back to try it again, nor would I highly recommend to my friends or family. But again, I did only try these few items so there might be other things that are a lot better that I haven't tried. read more

The bread, the salad everything was great and it lived up to our expectations. We are been Abeja wine fans and we're pleased to find out that they carry Abeja and we had a nice bottle. The good: I went in on a Friday night with no reservations as a party of one, and they found a table for me. The hosts were super nice. I wanted to try two small sizes of pasta so I ordered the Fettuccine Al Pesto Con Gamberi & Capellini Di Mare. The pesto dish was amazing, Rich and creamy, the Cepellini was a bit bland, and OK. Their dipping herb olive oil was amazing and I poured some of that over the pasta to give it some flavor. Service was also attentive and wonderful. I also ordered a grapefruit mocktail: Rhuby Lemon ($15), which was fresh & amazing. The not so good: The bill. Once I received it, I asked the server to see the menu again to compare the prices to the website menu and I was confused that the menu in-house was more expensive as I checked online before I came. We were greeted warmly despite our 45 minute delay during to 2 games, 2 crashes, and a 405 closure - but we did call twice and keep them updated. Brought to our table with a Happy Anniversary card waiting. Great Manhattan and Prosecco cocktail to start. Dinner was a wonderful grilled pear and goat cheese salad, a nice carmelized onion soup with tenderloin, Osso Bucco with the lightest buttered herb fettuccini I ever remember having, and a capellini de mare with clams and prawns. The capellini had a wonderful almost reduced-cioppino sauce that brought a lot of seafood flavor. Osso Bucco was incredible, and I actually pulled the marrow and tossed it with the fettuccini. I made a reservation for a weekday evening, and it was really easy to make on Open Table. The restaurant is so classy, and there is an expectation of business casual attire. The server was really great, and I thought his jokes were hilarious. He also was clear in his communication with us so we knew what to expect for the dinner. I ordered the Gazzosa as my drink, and I loved it. It was light and fizzy, and I didn't want something alcoholic so it was perfect. For food, we got a Burrata as an appetizer. The dish came with some peaches and arugula; it was very delicious and refreshing. I also ordered the large Rigatoni Bolognese. The pasta was al dente, sauce flavorful, and meat tender. I love bolognese and was very happy with this dish. For dessert, I got a cheesecake and it was also very tasty. I actually forgot my leftover dessert when I left. The staff was friendly, professional and catered to my request for a quiet and corner table. The whole ambiance feels classy, warm and elegant. We got here at 5pm and by 5:30 the restaurant already started to fill up. We chose a few dishes from the Specials: Grilled Peach Salad (peach so juicy and walnuts roasted to perfection!), pappardelle with lobster sauce (very generous portion of lobster claw meat!), and saffron risotto with Manila clams (fatty clam and saffron juice coating every grain of rice!). The food portion is generous. We were able to clear all our plates even after eating two full baskets of bread lol. The staff even brought a tiramisu cake for us to celebrate the birthday, which is a really nice surprise. We still decided to order cannoli with pistachio as dessert. On this visit, we each ordered the Chilean Sea Bass with mushrooms and a side of the Aglio E Olio, so many good things on one plate. Il Terrazzo Carmine delivers a delightful dining experience with its warm ambiance and attentive service. The pork chop was perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. The lamb rack was equally impressive and well-seasoned. Among the 3 pasta dishes that we ordered -- the penne con salmone, the gnocchi sorrentina, and the canneloni fiorentina -- I enjoyed them equally but thought the last one was the most interesting. read more

We went here before going to a show, valet parking at the building next door, which was great. Very attentive and friendly staff, knowledgeable in the menu and the ins and outs of the specials, wines, etc. It was busy and the right kind of noise level to feel like you were in the right place to get a good meal. I would encourage anyone to ask about the sizing of the pastas because if you want to get salads and or appetizers as well you might not need the large size, but if you like to share with your partner or group, then they have you covered. Everything was prepared with care and plated so nice without being pretentious. The lobster pappardelle was so rich with seafood flavor and large amount of lobster meat but very light. The scallops melted in your mouth and went well with the corn risotto. Both were ever so sweet. Amazing crème brûlée with coffees to end the meal. Would highly recommend! read more
