I'll Terrazzo Carmine is a beautiful restaurant with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The lunch menu offered great options and everything we ordered was cooked deliciously-from steak salad, chicken salad to Caesar salad and seafood pasta. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The only downside was that parking wasn't the easiest but overall it was a wonderful dining experience. Bon appetite!

5 stars all around! Parking is easy--there's a garage and valet service. The service itself is outstanding: attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable without being pushy (which is the perfect balance). We had dinner here last night (I've been before, but some in our group hadn't). We started with Caesar salads and cocktails, all of which were excellent. There were six of us and everyone ordered a different entrée--every single dish was outstanding. To finish, we shared three desserts and coffee, and everything was just as impressive. Dining out has become so expensive that we've really dialed it back, but a place like this is 100% worth every single dollar. Restaurants that truly hit every mark like this are rare. I would highly, highly recommend.

Incredible experience all the way around. In my quest for the best Italian restaurants in Seattle I made a reservation here a couple of weeks ago. Parking was directly adjacent in a parking garage and they do validate for four hours. The restaurant was warm and inviting with an intimate atmosphere. White table cloths adorn each table, and the smell wafting through the restaurant from the kitchen was heavenly. We had the Fettuccine Al Pesto Con Gamber and Penne Salmon. Each dish was perfectly cooked. The salmon was moist with a hint of pink, and the pasta was perfect. The shrimp were not overcooked, the sauce was rich and flavorful, and the pasta was incredible. We saved just enough room for dessert and split a crème brûlée. Perfectly done with a beautiful crust and adorned with mint and fruits. Our server, Mike, was fantastic. He appeared when we needed him and made some great suggestions. Great experience and definitely worth trying

I love their menus and beautiful plates

From the moment we walked in and were greeted we fell in love with this place. I made a reservation a month ago. It's hard to get into. It's very expensive, so save your money and save this place for a special occasion, or try for a spontaneous table in the bar. I had the rigatoni... I thought it was going to be super heavy with the meat, but it was not. It was the perfect choice. It was a flavor bomb. The red sauce was done exceptionally well. The pasta was cooked perfectly. I loved the rigatoni noodle because the pasta could stick to it. They definitely know what they're doing here. This must've been some great grandmother's fabulous recipe that we were eating. SO SO GOOD! I wish I could cook pasta like this at home. I'm pretty good at pasta, but I'm not this good. My husband got the angel hair pasta with clams and mussels... And the angel hair was absolutely incredible... I'm wondering how they make this pasta so teeny tiny. It was also done perfectly. My angel hair would clump... These people are pros. Patricia, our waitress was fantastic. She put up with 1000 questions and helped us make our decisions and everything was perfection. Her Service was superb. She didn't come to the table too fast nor did she come too slow. She let us have our own conversations and didn't try to be a part of our party. I love that... It's old-school service. She had impeccable timing for absolutely everything. She suggested an Italian wine, because we didn't want something too expensive. The bottle of wine she suggested was $45. I thought it was outstanding. I could taste the old vines and we loved it. We sat outside... And she turned on the heater for us, which was really nice. She told us if we got too cold, she would give us a blanket... We didn't need one. She was delightful! They're lucky to have her. I love this place... It's my new favorite place in town, although they have been here forever. I wanted to try their restaurant in Bellevue, but I've been trying to make a reservation for the last five years and I can never get in. This place has ambience. I will come to this restaurant over and over again, until I can try everything on the menu. One tiny thing, I wish their salad had veggies on it ... I love Tutta Bella's mista salad - and thought this one would be like that, but there were no cannelloni beans, red onions, or carrots. It was still delicious... I love the light vinaigrette.. Overall, this is a five star restaurant for sure. Anybody who had a negative review about this place, needs to get a grip on life. It was absolutely outstanding. I also want to give kudos to the gentleman (with a golden smile) who bussed our table - he helped our waitress - he had a great smile and a very happy quality about himself. I liked that. I could tell the customers have been coming here for years... Everybody look like a regular! The place is a little bit hidden, but I think that adds charm. Thank you for a wonderful evening... We will be back!

Prosciutto with melon. Was really good, used to be being with cantaloupe but this was good

We had a hard time finding the entrance, walked around a couple times before finally looking at some reviews to see if anyone left a clue how to in the place Once inside, it was very elegant, dark wood and white table cloths We were seated right away at a table with a nice view of the whole restaurant up on a little landing. As we normally do when trying a place for the first time we ordered a little across the menu. For drinks my wife got the Friendly Reminder while I just had a white wine. For our appetizer I had the prosciutto and melon and a Caesar salad while the wife had the burratta. Prosciutto and melon was traditional and very good. Came with honey dew instead of cantaloupe but was really fresh and really refreshing Caesar salad was also good, very crisp lettuce and a nice dressing Burratta was good, fresh and tasty For our meals I had the lobster pappardelle and my wife had the halibut. Always judge an Italian place by the meatballs and how they cook pasta and this place did the pasta correctly. I loved it and ate it all and wished I had more The halibut was a little overcooked, so it was dry in places. The fish was a huge portion so my wife ate a lot of it and left the drier parts For dessert I ordered key lime pie, odd to order it on an Italian restaurant but it's one of my favorites and I rarely pass up a chance to get it. Washed it all down with coffee. Enjoyed the meal and the experience

We were craving Italian food, and found this spot! I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese, which was made of ground veal, pork, and beef with tomatoes, herbs, and red wine. It had a rich, savory, and hearty flavor! And another surprise was the dessert, the waiter brought out a full tray of desserts and introduced each one to us. We couldn't resist and ended up choosing the Tiramisu and the Crème Brûlée! Both were amazing and top-notch! *Recommended to make a reservation on OpenTable, and they provide 4-hour complimentary valet parking with validation.

We sat outside on a cool night and the fire pit made the space feel cozy and comfortable. The décor is beautiful, and I really loved the outdoor setup. Random detail, but I noticed how big the tables were compared to most restaurants, which made the experience feel more spacious and relaxed. We started with the La Caprese, which was so fresh. The basil tasted like it had just been cut, the tomatoes were sweet and perfectly in season, and the smoked buffalo mozzarella felt like the perfect marriage between burrata and mozzarella. As expected, most of the pastas were made with eggs, but the kitchen was able to sub some dishes with an egg-free linguine. I ordered the Spaghettini Ortolano with linguine, and it was fantastic. There's no sauce, just goat cheese melting into the pasta to create this creamy, flavorful dish that I would happily order again. For dessert, I went with the mango sorbet. It started off good, but after a few bites, the flavor leaned a little toward freezer burn, which was a bit disappointing. Service was great throughout, and while it wasn't too busy outside, it's clearly a popular spot.

Elegant Italian dining experience, with pleasant servers. The menu offers plenty of options without being overwhelming; the same can be said for the wine list. The prices may seem high, but portions are large. We considered the antipasti plate for a starter, but changed our mind after a glance at the vitrine. We split the salad of the day and there was still enough to take home. It was delicious - perfectly grilled salmon, marinated wheat berries, and lightly dressed greens. The bread was crunchy and warm, which is always a nice touch. The pasta dishes were delicious, and perfectly cooked. The ravioli had a delicate sauce which elevated the filling. The cannelloni were generously filled and the tomato sauce was savory and happily mopped up with a piece of bread. There are both indoor and patio dining options. A lovely venue for special occasions, or just a nice lunch to celebrate the day.

Went here for a quick stop for drinks. The service was friendly, quick, and effortless, and the ambiance was beautiful. I'm looking forward to coming back to try the food!

I had a wonderful experience here! I have been to the Bellevue Carmine's quite a bit and fell in love with the ambiance there. I'm happy to report that Seattle's Carmine's is just as wistful and charming and they capture that same magic in the air. I've now tried both their patio and main dining room and loved both! If you have never been my two favorite must haves are the duck (comes with the best cherry sauce of my life) and the pesto and prawn pasta. I also think that Carmine's has the best Hugo Spritz and Espresso Martini in town, just my opinion. Can't wait to come back. The valet is free that sparks a lot of joy. Every person who works here treats their job like a career and I feel like family rather than a customer here. Thank you!

Celebrating a friend's birthday! Enjoyed the ambiance, the service was great - our server was fun and interactive with our group, and the food was very tasty! I ordered soup of the day which was a creamy soup, and for the main dish, I ordered the peppercorn sauce steak which was delicious! I didn't care much for the sides, but the steak is a must try! I also want to mention that I parked in the garage across the alley from the restaurant (valet parking is validated by restaurant) and the valet attendant was extremely nice and polite!

To start, we've wanted to visit this place for awhile now but for some reason never pulled the trigger until this Valentine's Day. We were not disappointed. The food, service, and ambiance were simply superb. We were seated in the bar area which turned out to be great as it provided a more intimate experience for us. The main dining room was jumping as was our bar area but it still had an intimate feel as there were less diners. White table cloths were in abundance as that is not a touch you see in many eateries in the Seattle metro area these days. Our server, Diego (also the bartender) was pulling double duty serving food and drinks at the bar and surrounding tables. He pulled it off with a little help from his colleagues. We started the evening off with a couple glasses of wine (Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc) followed by the Bruschetta Trio ( Cherry Tomato, Capers,Garlic Confitura and Basil; Black Pepper, Goat Cheese, and Tapenade; and Avocado, Smoked Salmon, and Crème Fraichea), couple salads (Caesar and Campagnola), followed by the main entrees, Fettucine Al Pesto, and the fish of the day special, Seabass with Risotto and Green Pea Puree. All were excellently prepared. We ended the lovely evening with a slice of Red Velvet Cake and Tiramisu. We will definitely return as there were other items from the menu that I saw on other tables around us that I'd like to try. I apologize for not taking many photos but I was so into my date that I simply forgot to take shots of all the dishes. Next time!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Il Terrazzo Carmine to celebrate both my birthday and our 25th anniversary, and it was truly a night to remember. From the moment we arrived, the service was perfect. Our waiter, Logan, greeted us warmly and took the time to explain the menu options in detail, even suggesting a delicious salad to start. The food was absolutely amazing--beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. Every dish showcased the kitchen's talent and attention to detail. Jason was attentive and incredibly helpful throughout the evening, ensuring everything went smoothly and that we felt celebrated. The highlight of the night was when Logan surprised us with a small tiramisu topped with a lighted candle, making our special occasion even more memorable. I highly recommend IlTerrazzo Carmine for anyone looking for exceptional Italian cuisine paired with outstanding service.

Veal something. Friends order, it was great!

    Is there a parking garage?

Yes, there is a parking garage. You can have the ticket validated by the restaurant to get free parking. However, do it right before you leave. I think there is a small window of 10 minutes given to get to your car and exit.

Is the patio covered in case of rain?

    Yes

    Is there a kids menu?

    No child’s menu

Does one really need to dress up to eat here? We're going to be attending a Mariners game and would like a good meal beforehand but plan on dressing casual. Thanks.

You don't have to, I showed up after a soggy Mariners game. Most people were a bit more dressed up than me though.

Got a seat at the bar without issue, which is always my preferred way to dine solo. From the first moment the hospitality was warm, engaged, and genuinely attentive. The bartender who took care of me throughout the evening set the tone immediately. Approachable, knowledgeable, present without hovering. The space itself matches that energy. Beautiful and considered without being stiff or self-important. An Aperol Spritz to open, well made, and the evening was underway. They started with a complimentary amuse bouche, a small but meaningful gesture that signals a kitchen paying attention. Bread followed and it was exactly what good bread should be, fresh, rustic, full of flavor. Then the Salsa all'uovo con cavolo arrived. Rich, earthy, and deeply savory, with the bitterness of the cabbage playing beautifully against the velvety egg sauce. Sophisticated without being fussy. The pacing between courses was handled exceptionally well, something that matters more than most restaurants seem to realize. The cavatelli con spugnole landed next. Rich, perfectly balanced, the kind of pasta dish that reminds you why handmade matters. Then the Salsiccia di agnello in pasta sfoglia, a lamb sausage in puff pastry that walked the line between buttery and flaky on the outside and deeply savory and herbaceous within. Notably they served the jus on the side so you could add as needed without risking a soggy pastry. Thoughtful execution. On the wine side I put myself in the bartender's hands for a white and a red to pair across the meal. Both were spot on. Their Italian list is well curated with strong options by the glass. A panna cotta to close was a clean, quiet finish to a meal that needed no grand statement to land. Spinasse is exceptional without ever reminding you that it is. The food and the service are the point, full stop. No performance, no attitude, no gap between reputation and reality. Exactly what a great restaurant should feel like.

Let me tell you, Lupo is high on my list of "Best 'Za In Seattle", and it will be on yours as well. The waiter told us something about how they're "fancy pizza but not stuck up" (not a direct quote), which fits right in with Seattle gastronomic philosophy. It's worth trying to get here early in the night, because it can be difficult to get a seat. And you want to have some time to sit down and enjoy this pizza. Make sure you wear your best sitting pants though, because you're in for a meal that will make you progressively adjust the belt loops as time goes on. I'm sure that there are plenty of top notch pizzas across the menu here, but the Caesar salad may have been a best-in-class item. The dressing was perfectly balanced with just enough anchovy taste, and there was exactly enough of it on every bite. Instead of having croutons in the salad, they had a heaping portion of toasted breadcrumbs that made each bite so much more interesting. Caesar himself would be proud. All of the pizzas sounded great, but I was pretty sure that they would be able to execute on a cacio e pepe flawlessly here, and I wasn't disappointed. The initial bite was everything that I could have hoped for. But I would make sure that you demolish this pizza promptly - it's not one that's great as leftovers. I think that is the case for most pizza of this style anyways. I am ridiculously excited about coming back to Lupo in the future to try more pizzas. FOOD POISONING ALERT…read more I'm 8 months pregnant and came here on Mother's Day with my husband and toddler, hoping for a nice family celebration. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. I ordered the seafood linguine special, while my husband had the veal marsala. The seafood in my pasta immediately tasted off -- especially the clams and mussels, which seemed old and likely frozen for far too long. Even my toddler, who normally LOVES seafood pasta at Italian restaurants, refused to take a second bite after trying it. I enjoyed seafood pasta from many other places but could barely finish my food that day. Later that night, I developed severe abdominal pain. At 8 months pregnant, any cramping is terrifying, and I genuinely thought I might be going into labor. After hours of pain coming and going, bloating, gas, vomiting, and diarrhea the next day, it became pretty obvious the food was the cause. Ruined Mother's Day and caused unnecessary stress during pregnancy. I will never order seafood from here again.

They close…read moreat 11, & I called an around 10pm and was very respectful about it ...I literally said, "I know it's late, please let me know if your kitchen is closed. I can just do takeout." I tried to order the fettuccine de mare, listed at $29 (no extra fees on Toast), but they told me it would be $43. That already didn't make sense. Then the server says, "We actually have 50% off happy hour until 11, come in and dine." So I came in. Ordered a drink, escargot, and a steak medium rare. The escargot came out fine. Then... nothing. 39 minutes later (at 10:45pm), the server asks if I'm waiting on anything else. Yes... my steak. She goes to check, disappears, and then comes back with something that honestly felt DISTESPECTFUL. The steak looked like scraps. Uneven, mismatched chunks, all different sizes, with burnt, crispy edges and covered in sauce like they were trying to hide it. It didn't look like a single cut of meat it looked like pieces from multiple steaks thrown together. The plating was sloppy, and the side looked like an afterthought. I didn't take a bite. I looked through it and said, "This looks like pieces from different steaks." She told me she watched them cut it... then immediately followed that by saying she saw them put it under a heat lamp to reheat. So which is it? I work in the food industry. I'm not going to be gaslit over a plate like that. She offered to refire it, but at that point it was almost 11 and they were closing. I paid for my drink and left. Honestly, I wouldn't have been upset if they had just told me the kitchen was closing when I called. But don't invite me in, forget my order, and then serve something like this and try to pass it off like it's normal. Just be honest.

We were…read morepleasantly surprised by our experience and this was notably one of the better meals we've ever shared together. When we first arrived we were given the option of either the chef's counter or a table. I thought the chef's counter was a unique experience but for the night we opted for a table near the window. The space is intimate and even though there weren't many people there when we first got there, it still gave a warm and cozy vibe (quickly filled up though). The week of my friend's birthday they were only doing Seattle Restaurant Week, which I hadn't realized at first but the menu was amazing regardless. The staff was very attentive to us, constantly checking in on us and making any adjustments as needed. They thoughtfully walked us through our choices and when the food arrived. First we started with appetizers which I thought it was nice that you get to try all them and didn't have to choose one. The salad and asparagus is what you would expect, but they were perfectly done and not overly complex. The stand out was the Seared Tombo, the flavors of this dish were balanced and the fish was clearly very fresh! For our main we both got the halibut option, which came with a side of sunchokes. We had never had sunchokes before but were immediately in love (the fish was cooked to perfection too) but I loved the introduction of not so common ingredient. I thought it was a fun play on traditional "potatoes" almost. I'm glad we were able to try both of the desserts. My favorite was the tiramisu (I always love tiramisu). The carrot cake was more on the dryer side (almost like a cornbread), which isn't my preference but I enjoyed the flavors. Overall, really enjoyed this place and would definitely come back!

Came here for my boyfriend's birthday recently and we tried the tasting menu ($89/person + 22%…read moreautomatic gratuity). FOOD: For the price, I think this tasting menu is a good deal. We got 4 appetizers, a pasta, an entree, and dessert. My fav items were the shrimp in polenta (shrimp was crispy without seemingly any breading, perfectly cooked and flavored) and the lamb skewers (well seasoned and cooked. Big fan of lamb in general). I also liked the deviled egg on kimchi, though it didn't taste like kimchi very much. The salad had too much dressing unfortunately and the crostini was interesting. We got a few drinks but my main impression is that they are strong! SERVICE Service here was so great and friendly. I only saw 2 front of house and 1 back of house so it's a small place. The front of house also bartend and make the drinks. I do wish the front of house explained the dishes a little more when they brought out the food. They told us the name of the dishes but as I was eating I realized it would've been nice to get a better idea of what was in it exactly, or halfway through I'd think "wait what else is in this?" AMBIANCE Tastefully decorated, small, and intimate. It was not busy when we came at all, with only up to 4 other tables having diners. I think this allowed the staff to focus on each table a little better without being overwhelmed. Overall had a good time. I admittedly wasn't blown out of the water but for $89/person for a fancier meal, I would say this is priced right for what you get (food, service, and ambiance included).
