The deep pan pizza was SO DELICIOUS! The service was superb! We sat outside with our pup and it was beautiful and pleasant temps! I highly recommend this restaurant!

(15" Large) Deep Skillet Sausage and extra cheese

After seeing Pizza Bella pop up in my yelp feed (huge shoutout to Joanna E. for that gorgeous photo) I knew this was a place I needed to try. Did a Friday night take out order via delivery which included a large antipasto salad and a 15" deep skillet pizza. Both were stacked with fresh ingredients, especially that pizza, tons of sausage and of course I added extra cheese. I loved their deep skillet so much! The crust was more crisp and light than any deep dish I've had before which is usually on the heavy bread side. Excellent texture. Sauce was punchy and went well with so much cheese and sausage. A must if you like deep dish. Looking forward to an in person visit. Delivery was excellent, but I can only imagine how much better it would be eating in house. Plus I want to try their pastas and sandwiches! Bella was Bella!

The margarita is a must! It was delicious and strong . Service was ok, fast once we ordered. The place is quiet with a few tvs around. There's parking for this spot so don't waste your time looking .

I can't recommend this place more. The service is exceptional. The drinks are delicious and stiff, and the pizza is too notch. Pizza Bella is an absolute must if you're in old Town San Diego.

Fun pizza restaurant located in Old Town with a nice outdoor patio and restrooms near by. Dogs are welcome. Service was excellent and pizza was fine.

Service was good, we sat in their courtyard and it was very nice and quiet... Sign says they had the best PIZZA IN AMERICA so we got a personal size one so everyone at the table could try it, it was decent maybe a 7/10.. We all had a pasta dish mine was a spicy, shrimp and sun-dried tomatoes (AMAZING) everyone at the table said mone was the best. We also had a Alfredo Cheese Tortellini ( Great) and my daughter is a Chicken Marcella person, this one was not good, Marcella sauce looked like THICK MUSHROOM GRAVY, you could taste the flour, it wasn't good, she only took a few bites. We also has a pesto veggies pasta (super oily) and my guest didn't even eat that as well. Overall wasn't horrible BUT 2 out 4 foor items weren't good..

I ordered a glass of wine and some cheesy bread while I waited forthe coaster. The bread was soft, made in house and had a right amount of bounce. The cheese was present but not overly gooey. The sauce was thick and had some depth in the flavor. And Lou was very friendly and welcoming. This experience let me to want to come back when I'm in the area and try the rest of the menu. *Review is for cheesy bread and service

I will start off by saying I had a slice from leftovers my wife brought home before coming here. It was very good, good enough for me to remember. Important note: Most of my recent reviews are short and sweet yet this place deserves more attention. Please read on... On our way to Bronx Pizza, one of my revolving top three pizza joints, (Pizzeria Luigi and Long Island Mikes to round out the list and give you reference) my wife and I wanted something different, and she reminded me of "the slice". So, we changed directions and headed to Old Town. First off: This is not a "pizza joint"! No, this is a Ristorante. Simply, an Italian Restaurant with one of the best pizza's I have ever had the pleasure to eat. Located in Old Town, it is unassuming and when venturing in you are welcomed by the charm and simplicity of a comfortable place you seem to have been to before. Greeted by the owner, again, non-assuming and welcoming, I even asked for a different table and was joyfully led to my table of choice. We got the Bruschetta to start, and it was, well, the first word that came to mind while biting into the warm bread and impeccable presentation was FRESH! Just a bright celebration of dressing, tomato medley, etc. ... Our table went quiet for a few moments as we both just took in the flavors. We had also ordered the Kitchen Pizza (no jalapenos, just a preference for me). I was a bit reserved as "the slice" was peperoni so this was jumping all in. I was game and was not disappointed. It is a crazy mixture of toppings that just seem to contradict each other, yet just like the melting pot that America is, the flavors and contrasts all worked and nothing overwhelmed. An Absolute masterpiece to savor. I wish we had brought our adult kids as this would have allowed me to order family style and get lasagna, marsala, meatballs and such, sharing plates as I have absolutely no doubt that the rest of the menu is outstanding. But no need to wonder as we will be back this weekend or next to explore this menu further. Finally, you have an owner who genuinely gives a damn about your opinion, preferences and overall experience. Unfortunately, this is something that I seem not to see much elsewhere. Fichissimo, Pizza Bella!!

Dried. Overcooked. Not enough anything except oven heat.
    BeaSlice X.

Hit or miss. How did you make a delicious savory pizza with veggie toppings and succulent crust for us last weekend. Then... Make a custom pizza today which was so overcooked. Burnt. Crust. Gross. Where is the quality control? Pride in product? I don't trust your shop.

    Pepperoni pizza

I'm from NY. The pizza capital. This was some absolutely amazing pizza! I would def go back. I tried a basic pepperoni personal pizza. Absolutely fantastic! And don't let it fool you. I thought yall really only put 4 pepperoni slices on my personal pizza. Then I took a bit and realized it was under the cheese! The server was very attentive and friendly. The courtyard was beautiful. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately. Salmon Bowl: The sweet potatoes were completely burnt & inedible, there was barely any kale (MAYBE two forkfuls, at most), and the piee of salmon was smaller then my little fist. Baja Bowl: Barely any kale (this bowl had even less than the other bowl), no guacamole - which it's supposed to have, and barely any chicken. There was so little in each bowl, they barely looked full. And again- these are my usual orders! So I'm very familiar. Wow. It is a cool concept. I finally got the chance to try it out. I walked in and there was a solo customer and a group of three people ahead of me. The solo customer had just finished her order and I was focused on the menu so not really paying attention. Basically, you choose your base, additional add-ins, a protein, and dressing. The party of three in front of me were kind of talking amongst themselves and told me that I could go ahead. As I was ordering, I noticed they changed their mind and abruptly headed out. I was unsure why. The place is clean and ingredients look super fresh. As I was finishing up my order, I saw why they changed their mind and left. The woman serving me was helping me cut up my protein (chicken) and scooped it up with the knife and her gloves hand. She proceeded to pick up the remaining pieces with her gloved hand and place it in my salad. She immediately grabbed a towel and wiped her gloved hands with said towel. I was shocked and grossed out at the same time! She then rang me up (with same gloves on) and packed my order ina bag. I did not see her change her gloves at all. I understood why the party of three in front of me left. I was hopeful that the gloves were relatively new. I thought if I air fried the chicken well enough before the eating it with the salad, I might be safe. I was wrong. I had food poisoning. The salad was likely compromised by the chicken, but it could easily have been the chicken too (although I heated it up really well). I know it was from the salad because this was the only thing I ate that day and within the last 24 hours. When I work my shifts, I fast and when I get off, I sleep and get food a few hours after I wake up. It is sad because this place is clean and ingredients look fresh. The woman who handled my food was relatively friendly. I think she just needs retraining. This is why food servers get food handlers cards. I did scope out the place the next time I was eating at Flame Broiler. It was a different server and he changed his gloves and appeared to handle everything properly. That's why I can't give this place just a one star. Just be aware of how your food is being handled when you go in. Gloves are good if you change them and know how to handle food properly... otherwise, they are pointless! 0 / 5 - Food (poor handling) 3 / 5 - Cleanliness 3 / 5 - Service 2 / 5: Overall
