Down and dirty pizza joint. No frills, but a decent street slice for under $3 is good in my book.

I just ordered delivery from here and it was awful. First off, it took them almost 1.5 hours to deliver one XL cheese pie. After about an hr I called the restaurant to find out the deal and the guy rudely told me that the delivery person is on the way. 20 minutes later the guy shows up. After finally receiving the pizza it was luke warm and rubbery. It wasn't easy to take a bite of it. I've eaten at the restaurant before and know their pizza isn't THAT bad. Every restaurant is entitled to an off day so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The reason I am giving Pizza Boy II 1 star is because of what the delivery guy did. I checked the menu online and knew exactly how much my order would come out to ($13). Since it was raining out I included a generous tip and had placed the money aside to be ready when he came. The delivery guy told me my order came out to $14. Though this was fishy I gave him an extra buck to the total I had already set aside. I then looked at the menu that was stapled to the pizza box and lo and behold and XL cheese pie costs $13... One thing I do not tolerate is cheating. I am generally a generous tipper but nothing that I've said above deserved that extra tip. I guess the guy knew that so he tacked on the extra buck to get his due. Absolutely despicable. read more

Terrible customer service. Was told 30 minutes for a delivery. It took an hour and 15 minutes. Called twice and the man on the phone was not very helpful. He was extremely rude, rushed me off the phone. I will not be ordering from here again. read more

Cant believe this place. Like many of the other reviews the customer service was horrible!!!!!!! I ordered two gyro platters. When the order came, not olnly was I over charged, but the soda wasnt added to the order and niether were the fries. All they sent was two gyro sandwiches (no white sauce) taped up into a pizza box, I assume so I wouldnt notice the missing fries until they were gone!!! When I called back to politely tell the owner that half my order was missing, he RUDELY said that if I wanted it I would have to come in and get it myself. Then the old guy started cursing, little did he know I spoke spanish!!! I would never buy food from here again and urge others not to as well. There are two other pizza shops in the neighborhood, that are cleaner, cheaper, and whos staff is very polite!!!! AND COURTEOUS!!! You can be dirt-ass poor & still eat here. $5 for 2 pizza slices and drink. That's a whole meal!! When i was there I tried their sicilian & meatball sub & gyro. I don't have much opinion on pizzas. The meatball was huge. The meat however was questionable - definitely was frozen & then heated. The gyro was kinda gross. It was sour cream, oil, mayo, & meat. The worst pizza i have ever had. The topping weren't cooked, barely any cheese, and disgusting customer service. I ordered delivery- a special pie, salad, and a coke. I was delivered a cheese pie. I called to request my proper pizza and they were pretty nice about it. Then when the guy came, he thought he was owed money. He called his boss who then demanded more money from me to make up the price of the pizza (I allegedly only paid for a cheese pizza). To make it even worse, the delivery guys have to pay for the pizzas out of their pocket in order to get the privilege of delivering them. So this poor guy got screwed because his boss screwed up my pizza. Good job, Pizza Boy II. You not only lost a customer BUT earned yourself a report to the Department of Labor. read more

If you go here, try the Sicilian slice. I went back and forth and chose the regular slice based on looks. Immediately knew I made the wrong choice when everyone who came in after me opted for Sicilian. The plain slice had a nicely crisp crust but no flavor & skimpy cheese. My wife and I live 2 blocks away, and have been eating here for 7 years. My wife refuses to order pizza from anywhere else. The special is 2 regular slices and a soda for $5. When we have family or friends from out of town, we normally order from here to have them try "New York" pizza and it never misses. My sister-in-law recently visited and we order a pie with bacon topping, which was pretty amazing. The chicken rolls are pretty tasty as well. read more

THE OKAYEST PIZZA IN QUEENS!!! I grew up on it. The taste, the nostalgia, the people, I love this place. The people are always nice, whether go in, or get delivery. The pizza is always delivered hot. The calzones, rolls, and garlic knots are yummy! I just love the plain slice, I'm a no frills type of girl. The Sicilian is good too! This is your typical NY Slice of Pizza - crust, sauce & cheese - all good. Sicilian, even better. What's great about this place is that it's cheap, it tastes good because it's no good for you, and they're open late. I've been coming here at least once a year since I was a teen (a good 15 years) and it's a reliable spot to get your pizza. I don't know about their other dishes or toppings because the plain slice looks as good as it tastes. I don't recommend it for people who like their pizza all fancy with wood-fire ovens and asparagus toppings - this is basic pizza and it's good! This is the best pizza in the area. There are a few other offerings but this place has the best. When I think of pizza I think of sauce, crust, cheese/toppings, and dough. Pizza Boy is a few blocks from the 61st Street, 7 Train stop in Woodside right under the elevated tracks. It provides ample seating and has all the elements of a traditional gas oven New York-style thin-crust Neopolitan pizza. As with most pizza shops they offer a $5 for two slices pizza with a cup soda deal. I asked the guy behind the counter if I could get a canned soda instead but he said it would be $2 more. Anyhow, the pizza here is decent. It's thin crust and floppy when you try to fold and hold it with a single hand. The cheese was standard as well as the sauce. I would have liked the sauce to have bit more flavor as it was mainly all tomato, not much else, buy hey, some may like it that way. The crust was decent was not burned or too hard. There's plenty of seating at Pizza Boy and I saw many families come here with their kids. Pizza boy offers delivery and has a decent sized menu. All in all, it's pretty good for a neighborhood pizzeria. I will come here again to try some other items! read more

A perfect place for a student w/budget to go if you live around Woodside. A hangout place for local teenagers and late night workers. Pizza Boy is those kind of neighborhood places. My favorite pizza place!! Not only the pizza, but the chicken rolls, beef patties, EVERYTHING is so GOOD! They always have a variety of pizzas, so whether you're craving buffalo or chicken with broccoli or baked ziti, they have it all! I ordered thru "Grubhub",...When it was delivered, it was (Sorta) Cold,....I like my "Pizza" scorching like when I was a (Kidd),.....Very "Disappointing" it tasted like everything came out of the "Microwave",....Which in this "Day in Age",....If you have an "Authentic Italian Pizzeria",....It should be just that (.)! The add on's,...Fries (Too salty),..Mozzarella sticks, were soggy too the touch, nonetheless to the (Lips),...The worst $27.80 I've ever spent. It's pizza, you know... even when it's bad it's still pretty good. Since it's the closest place to me that delivers pizza I eat from them quite regularly, but to be honest I don't sit at home thinking "I'm getting pizza from Pizza Boy II tonight." I just think "I want pizza" and then call them because it's the pizza place that I have the menu for in my drawer. To be honest I have yet to try their pizza. So I can't write about that but, I have ordered a few of their dinner entrees. Two words: Chicken parm. You can eat it on a roll, you can eat it from a bowl. Tasty, tasty as can be, order one and you'll see. Best chicken from woodside, one good bite you'll think you've died. So my order was over a half hour late, I gave them a polite ring over the phone. Of course I got the "he's 5 minutes away" excuse. 20 minutes later (50 minutes waiting time in total) the delivery guy arrived. Didn't get an apology, more of an attitude that I paid for food and I was bothering him to do his job. Anyway, food was finally here YAY! A whole pepperoni pizza pie with a side of garlic knots, YUMM. Little did I know until I sank my teeth into the first bite, undercooked almost raw pizza. Took a bite of the garlic knots, same. Called to inform the establishment that I was sent raw pizza, they informed me just put it in the oven for a few minutes and gave me a $2.00 refund (TWO DOLLARS). I give it 5 stars now because for a pizza place category, this place deserves every star. I've discovered the lasagna and "cousin lemme tell you..." Great portions, quality ingredients and the pizza is the best. Hint, try to get the very last piece in the center. The cheese over flows and the sauce is perfect. My kid loves this place too! The owner and son team really make it the perfect neighborhood joint with the regular staff that know your face and always have a smile. I feel like due to the diversity of the neighborhood (and face it, who doesn't love pizza?) this 500 square feet just may be the most diverse place in the world. read more

I have to say that this place is generally the most consistent in quality and service in my area... their Sicilian slices are great, they will cater to whatever requests you have, delivery is usually timely and they're generally friendly. Plain slices are better than most - sauce is slightly sweet (not overtly and is more-so on the Sicilian slice), crust is just right and cheese is applied liberally. Not the best pizza I've ever had however, it's good if you're looking to get quick, clean and decent pizza asap. Best in the immediate Woodside area in my opinion. Baked pasta dishes are ok - ricotta is *slightly* eggy and dry but overall I do recommend their food. Ordered a pie tonight! read more

Great local pizzeria, but they do not have their act together when processing orders that come in online or via an app. Been a year and change since I ordered from them via an app because of a disastrous order that was so late by the time it arrived I had gone to another pizzeria and gotten a pie. Ordered tonight and it's been over an hour. This place is less than 4 blocks from our apartment. There is simply no excuse whatsoever for a pie to take that long to get from there to here. It's a solid slice during the day. A busy business will lead to fresh pizza out of the oven, but honestly, that's not what this post is about. When I was younger growing up, all we did was hang out in pizza places and play video games. Guys behind those counters watched me grow up, knew my families. Obviously, things have changed in this city, and that's not as likely to happen for all sorts of reasons. People aren't as personable, owners don't seem to work in their own places, and the neighborhoods themselves seem more transient. Change happens, I get it. But this place is different. I eat here about once a week, and have always noticed how this guy treats his customers, and it's a lot like the way I was treated as a kid. And this is all the workers- seemingly all the customers are treated the same from the old Philippina lady to his after school crowd of diverse kids. It's a true neighborhood joint, a throwback to before the age of BS "best slice" lists and trip advisor stickers. read more

This place has me torn. I'm accustomed to a place making near to perfect identical pizzas in looks and taste. However, this place will have one of the greatest pizzas one day and then burnt bread the next. One day you'll have a different bland flavor but then they'll surprise you again with a perfect blend of cheese and sauce. If anything, they definitely have the best garlic knots. read more
