I've been going to Georgios since 1983 when I was first employed @ Rancho Los Amigo Hospital then. It was first owned by a greek couple that gave you soooooo much meat in your sandwich you couldn't close the bread not even 1/2 way, you could feed 2 people from the large sandwich. My favorite back then was the Beef, Bacon, Ham & Pastrami (OMG). But since giving up pork, I've stuck with the beef and pastrami grilled. They are the best by far. I wish back then (No Internet or Social Media) someone would've marketed them, I'm sure they would've put Subway and others to shame.. Since being purchased by the Asian owners, they have keep the tradition going, except they are STINGY with the meat now lol.. That's the only complaint I have.. If I could tell the whole world about this place, I would! But that's why I'm on here right? Haha, anywho! I was never a big sandwich person, ever. The thought of mayo, and its thick-gloppy consistency, possible dry bread... it never appealed to me, and it went for pretty much any place who made sandwiches. So bad, I know! It's practically a sin that I am talking about it on here, but hold on now! It wasn't until I had the great Georgio's! When I was first introduced to this place, I always ordered the ham and cheese (hot). I didn't dare try anything else. If this sandwich was THIS GOOD, I couldn't imagine the rest of them. But that little devil in the back of mind kept telling me "maybe this is the best it gets." I didn't quite let my guard down. But last summer, before a gig my band had, we all came here for a quick dinner fix before we drove out to LA. My bass player recommended the tuna sandwich and my god was THIS EVEN BETTER THAN THE HAM AND CHEESE. Ever since then, I haven't ordered anything else, not even the ham and cheese ("Sorry ham & cheese. It's not you, it's me..."). I know I haven't ordered any of the other sandwiches, but I do recommend trying them! They bake their own bread, and you have the option to order whole wheat bread too. I've also had the tuna salad (tuna sandwich minus the bread, plus some ranch dressing. But I NEVER EVER use it! The tuna is THAT good!). Family owned place. Was introduced to this place by my grandmother a long time ago. Parking is easy as there is always a stall available and it's close to a liquor store so you can run over and grab some beer with your pizza or your pastrami sandwich. The pastrami - neatly made sandwich. Not a lot of grease. The trim the pastrami so you dont get a lot of fat. Just good meat. They add a pepperchini and a little melted cheese and the sandwich is bomb. The pizza is not greasy and it's actually very tasty. Big slices and very filling. Not a strong tomato sauce taste. The steak sandwich was good, but I could've used a little more meat in the bread. That's my only complaint. The place is solid and worth trying out if your over that way. read more

The sandwiches are great. Although I only tried 2 of them. One of my favorite pastrami's, not because its heavy and greasy but because even after eating the large sandwich, you don't feel gross. So you get the good taste of a heavy looking pastrami with all the pickles/mustard and other pastrami fix ins but without the heavy feeling after. Their tuna is also good. Get it with the wheat bread. There's a hint of sweetness to it. Pizza's are also great, just the right amount of cheese. The small size is enough to fill you up, the mini's are more personal pan.
