Good service. We felt welcome, and variety of fruits in our Bionicos was great! Ice cream, we got two types, first Rocky Road, but the Cookies and Cream was really good. Good prices. Comfortable and casual, this is the type of place to rediscover the love you and your wife began with. Simple, charming, right on Downey avenue-staff were hard-working, accommodating, and respectful. I'm glad I tried this place out. I had a really good sandwich :) I ordered a Ham, Turkey, Bacon sandwich with everything plus avocado on a roll. All of the veggies, meat, and cheese on it was delicious and fresh. The roll was warm and soft. The ladies up front were super nice to. I went to Carmen's Bionico because I was craving a churro. I was told that it would be 5 min. The churro was $1.50. I went for a walk and came back about 10 minutes later and it still was not ready. Once I received my churro, it looked good. It was hot, it was golden, but when I took a bite it was all wrong. The churro was raw on the inside. I had just stepped outside the door so I turned back to tell them. When I went in to tell them (with a piece of raw dough in my hand), they kept telling me in Spanish that that's the way they are. I know that is not the way churros are. I have had them plenty of times. We continued to go back and forth until I just walked out. I did not get my money back and I did not want the churro. I did not eat it. I was grossed out and I don't recommend this place. Customer service was not good. I can't say all of the food quality is not good, but do not get a churro from here if that's what you are craving. read more

I love the fact that Rite Aid ice cream is sold here, sandwiches, wraps, traditional Mexican ice cream and so many other delicious items or on the menu. The food is good and fresh. Customer service is pretty good too. My complaint is with time and catering orders. I ordered a tray of bionico, when I get to the office, there is no crema. So I called them and they ask if I can come pick up. Um, no. I used my lunch break to go pick up and YOU got the order wrong... so YOU need to make it right. So she asked for my address. She said her driver was busy and it could be up to an hour. So disappointed in this place now. My visits will be waaaay less frequent now. read more

Food here is amazing! I'm always going for lunch. Yes it does take a while for them to make the fresh food but it's worth it. I usually call or place my order online ahead of time and by the time I get there it is done. I usually order Agua Fresca de Pineapple and the Tostimarinero. The Tostimarinero come with chips on the side. Everything is always done once ordered so it taste so good. I would recommend this place. Came here and it was EMPTY. My mom and sister ordered a sandwich and one drink and it took 20 minutes to receive it. The staff doesn't keep us updated on the status of our items and during our time waiting here, no one else walked in to order. I was here last week with one other person on a Saturday night during the International Food & Music festival. No other booths/food trucks aside from the shaved ice were serving drinks besides the usual soda/water. Saw this and wanted to give this a try. I can only comment on the smoothies. First of all, really fresh and cool and portions are very generous. Definitely worth the money. I got the #1, and my company got the #6. Both tasted really good, fresh, and cool. Probably one of the most freshest and invigorating smoothies I had. More so than a Jamba Juice. The only critique I had was the wait. I will give them the benefit of the doubt that there was a festival and so possibly unusually busy for them, but it did take them a while to make a smoothie. Also not everyone was trained at the register because I wanted to pay with a card but the cashier had to wait for someone else to do it. But again I felt it was worth the wait. Would not mind coming back again and would want to try other smoothie flavors and items on the menu. read more

Sweet ladies! I've gone enough times that they know who I am and even squeeze extra lemon on my fruit. When I'm feeling hungry I order the Turkey bacon sandwich on wheat bread with a strawberry smoothie plus I buy a bag of chips and it's the best sandwich combo!
