I have been eating here for the last 30 years. I believe the best on their menu are their steak sandwiches. Their bread is baked fresh and crackles when you take a bite from it. I've never had anything else on their menu. I once brought a friend who was raised in Chicago and told them about the steak sandwiches he said "dude, I'm from Chicago" how good can they be. After tasting it he said this is by far one of the best sandwiches he's ever had. Try the super steak. read more

Have been coming into Georgio's twice a week for the better part of a year for lunch. That all stopped in June when the health department gave them a "B" rating. The rating was for a MAJOR violation for rodent/insects. The violation was June 4th. Since that time the management hasn't requested a re-inspection. BEWARE: if they mess up your order, they will not fix it nor give you your money back. Absolute trash. I ordered a medium pizza with pickled jalapenos and they put pickles and jalapenos. Pickles aren't even a pizza topping. They would not take back the pizza, even though they messed up. Just give me my money back and through that monstrasity away. Bad customer service. After hearing about this pizza shop from a neighbor, I decided to stop by for lunch.The business is in a lot shared with a few other places and had decent shared parking spots, as I walked inside looking forward to lunch I noticed the interior tables and chairs looked straight out of the 70's and the plants and fans placed around the interior (the kind U would normally have in a house) were covered in dust. The turkey sandwich I ordered had one thin layer of deli type meat and hard bread, it was small for the price they sell it for and was below average. I ordered a pepperoni pizza to go, after getting it to the house when the family started to eat it they found out they forgot to take off the plastic off the pepperoni and cooked it on the pizza. I called and complained and they said " Oh okay" I told them a normal business response would be an apology.It could of choked someone..Anyways now I know why they are a small business with old painted windows from the 80's peeling off and always a small amount of people inside most likely people from the neighborhood that don't have cars. OK, so I've made this place my treat place, I treat myself to this spot every so often, the first time I walked in I ran into a very good friend of mine and he knows the spot's I looked at him and he gave me this look like Yeah! this is the spot, lol and it really is I mostly have ordered the sandwiches they make their own bread there and it's very tasty adds to the complement of what ever you choose, I'm stuck on the Super Steak sandwich, as a matter of fact I had one yesterday and craving one today but I'll just hold off for now I don't want to get burned out, plus I try not to eat too much white bread it messes up my Manley figure Lol... at any hoot the place has an older looking atmosphere but it has an "A" rating it's very clean and I'm sure in order to do some remodeling it's very hard for a small business to survive with the extra costs , the looks of this place don't bother me it's not broken so why fix it? The sandwiches here are sooo good! My favorite is the Super Steak. The bread is soft and chewy, the meat is grilled to order in front of you, and the sauce & super fresh vegetables complement the rest of the ingredients. Everyone who works here is particularly kind and the service is fast and efficient. It's the best place to go for lunch- sometimes I drive out of my way to get this because I crave it so much, and it is definitely worth the extra miles. I love here!! I ate best sandwiches ever I tried I tried steak, pastrami, beef and ham. All these are so nice and delicious. They use so fresh breads and veggies. If u want to try traditional style sandwiches, must try. Better than other franchises. Pizzas are also taste good like a homemade. I love coming by this place to have my lunch. The people always greet me as I enter and if I'm short a few cents they tell me it's ok and process my order anyway. Typically I order the pepper steak/sausage/pastrami combo, it always manages to hit the spot! Service is prompt and really worth every penny.
