The customer service here is horrendous! It's Sunday afternoon Labor Day weekend and my bf and I stopped in to watch the Dodger game and enjoy pizza. We weren't greeted, only glanced at. Mind you the place isn't busy. My first time back since they merged with buckboard...and probably my last! This place use to be a gem in Covina to come and eat with friends and family. You're now treated rudely with no regard to hospitality or even acknowledgement. The female working the register was annoyed she could not hear us due to us wearing our masks (we were following restaurant protocol) I leaned in slightly so she could hear me and she yelled at me to step back. I asked if she was ok and she proceeded to slam things down and turn to my bf to get his order of what he wanted. He blatantly said "wow the workers on weekdays are totally different." She rolled her eyes and slammed down a pen for him to sign after paying with card. She placed our drink cups on the counter and walked away. We didn't want to escalate the situation so we turned away and went to a table to wait for our food. It's actually sad because we really use to love this place and the food was great! Terrible service, Jessica who states she is a Manager is very rude. My wife and I ordered a beer and asked for a menu and she started we had to order food before she can serve us a beer as mandated by the CDC. All other local Restaurants bars in the area do not have that rule. We spoke to the Manager and he stated the rules change weekly which is not true. I am very disappointed in the pizza we got tonight. We have been going to your place for well over 30 years. We started when the previous owner had it. Tonight I called in an order for pickup. I ordered a large combination, cheese bread and a large salad. The gentleman said 20min and it would be ready. I live near Northview HS so it's about a 15min drive. I left as soon as I was done ordering. I get there in about 15min and see my order under the heat lamp. While waiting in line to pay I look at the salad bar and see that everything looks old. The salad was wilted and dry the cheese was a big clump and some of the dressing needed to be tossed out. I get up to the counter and tell the gentleman no salad. I pay $26 for pizza and cheese bread. I get it home only to see that it looks like they had made it really quick and didn't put enough toppings on it. I know it will never have as much toppings as petrillos pizza. But it was way less then they have always put on it. I don't know if I'll come back. The last couple times wasn't very good either. I had my husband order me a spaghetti to bring home. When he got home I was starving and excited he was finally home. Come and behold, I opened the bag where the spaghetti was and this is what was inside. The first thought and thing that came out of my mouth was, "did you eat some while you were there?". He said no and asked me why. Showing him the amount of spaghetti that was given, he was just as shocked. This is ridiculous. To even call this a meal is just crazy. Yup, definitely a fan. In fact, been a fan since maybe 8 years old when I use to come to Pizza Party's after our baseball game. So, when I continue to go somewhere, that I have been going to for over 20 years - the place must be doing something right! Don't come here expecting some gourmet pizza, snazzy interior or anything out of this world. What you do get though, is an establishment that has been here forever, provides quality food, is super consistent, and continually provides great service to you day in, day out. The two guys behind the counter are great! They greet you when you walk in, they help you with the menu, make sure you are ordering enough food for your party, and are there available once you get up from your table and need assistance with anything. Place is a, just like home kinda feel. Brings me back to good' ol' childhood days and taste the damn same! Thin crust pizza, tiny, but good salad bar ... with a couple of pitchers for beer! I always used to pass by this place on my way home from dance practices. I recently tried it out before a friend's softball game. It's a cute place.. really small and "old-school." Seems like locals would go here often and enjoy eating or hanging out. They have some t.v.'s to watch any games and an arcade section for kids. Okay.. so on to the pizza! We ordered a large pepperoni and mushroom and got a large ham and pineapple for free. They knew my friend's softball team, so they usually get hooked up. YES! The pizzas had the perfect amount of cheese, toppings, and sauce. And the crust wasn't too burned or too thick. For me, the thinner the crust, the better the cheese and toppings taste. Also, before I forget to mention it, try their buffalo wings! Mmmm.. I think I was the only one who really liked them.. but there were just too many for me to finish haha. As a kid, my soccer team would always come here for the end of season pizza party. Absolutely nothing has changed here ... the service is awesome and the atmosphere remains fantastic. My sister and I had lunch here today with our nephew. We had a medium pepperoni, a medium mushroom, and a side salad. Pluses: 1. The pizza crust is thin and doesn't dominate the slice. 2. The toppings are generous. 3. The service is outstanding, and the people are incredibly friendly. Minuses: 1. I've had non-pizza dishes here before. The wings are a little weak, and the salad bar is not incredibly exciting. Furthermore, with the salad bar, you're only allowed 1 go-around. Not enough! 2. The video games all cost 75 cents ... even pinball! I understand that there's probably gotta be some inflation since the 80's (when I used to come here regularly), but 3 quarters? Come on! Food is really nothing spectacular but it does the job. Like the fact that thier pizza dough is not too bready so you really get to enjoy the cheese and toppings. Wings are better than most, not fatty and flavor is on point, hot ones are ridiculously hot and burning your mouth. The best thing about this place is that you buy one pizza and get one free. The place itself is always clean, games for the kids boarder the dining area, I like that since most places have the games in another room. A unexpected wow. We've been getting our car washed at Citrus Car Wash for years now and sometimes we get something to eat next door at the closest place which is Del Taco...which is eh. Feel bad that we have lived in Covina for 14 years and never visited. Our first visit we ordered sandwiches with pasta side and green bean fries. The servers were friendly and very helpful!! The food was quick and for the price it was very decent. We may have gotten lucky because it wasn't very busy but our first experience was enjoyable enough that we would come back. $40 for a family of four, we shared the sandwich, it was a large serving. This place has been around for years. I remember coming to this place in the 80's. I was at the Del Taco right next door not too long ago when I just poped my head in. Has not changed in years. Still have video games,salad bar, beer bar off to the side, and two pizzas for the price of one. When I first walked in the FIRST thing to hit me was the smell. The same smell of pizza crust cooking in the oven. It brought back a lot of memories for me. I remembered playing Double Dragon with my buddy Matt Beadle,washing clothes with my mom next door and asking her to buy pizza bread for my little bro and me, and ALL the little leaguers running around all over the parking lot. We came here after my son's football game with the majority of the team. Great place for kids as they have video games galore.
