Let me just start off by saying the negatives come across due to the lack of processes with service. Service: It started great as someone greeted us right after we got situated in our booth. We knew what we wanted for apps and drinks so we put that right away. We informed them we needed more time for our entrees. As soon as the apps dropped on our table, our waiter appears to ask if we were ready to put in our entree order. We didn't want to disservice them again to put our entree so we quickly ordered. We were unsure about what we ordered as this was our first visit. The waiter gave us no suggestions but just took our order. That was the end of our interaction...with anyone. No one came to check up on us. No one asked if wanted refills for any of our drinks. (There was a hair in our food! But there was no one to complain to!) We finally caught the attention of what I assume to be a busser, he kindly packed our items and we told him we were ready for our check. He told us he would inform a waiter. We continued to wait for about 15-20 mins for our check. When we finally saw our waiter, (only because he was taking the order of the table right behind us) we asked him for the check and he said ok and went to get it. My family and I are not the type to take a long time to pay a bill when we say we want it, we review the bill for 10 seconds to make sure the items were correct then the card comes out. Our waiter disappears and we are left waiting for an additional 10 mins. No one ever came to get paid. We finally got up, put on our jackets and proceeded to hunt him down to take a payment. Of course we find him putting in an order for another table, DOESN'T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE us. Another waiter took our checkbook and charged us. Of course we still left a 18% tip as we are in the industry but if I had any less of a conscience I would've left much less. Food: The food was better than average. The arancini balls are great as it is a guilty pleasure of mine. Pizza was decent. Pasta dish was good. What can they do? Simple, if they enforce checks after the entree hits and maybe circle back after the check hits. I'm just saying... you would think I would have to work less to pay them. read more

His response was that they weren't open yet would be 10 min.. my friend got a slice he tossed is on the counter so hard! Very rude.. I asked the girl at the counter does she think the slice will really be ready so I know to wait. He said responded he doesn't know . It might be in the back??? So then why not check? Pizza is pretty good that I can ignore the bad service. I had a plain slice, pepperoni slice and a margeherita pizza. The margherita pizza was the most flavorful of the three and my favorite. What makes the pizza taste good here is that its made fresh to order and is not left sitting on the counter like most pizza joints. There is a separate dine-in area if you want waiter service or want privacy or quietness. It took forever, for the waiter to prepare my table, that I just ordered at the counter and grabbed a table in the public area. I stood at the counter for 5 mins waiting for someone to acknowledge me. Turns out you just go straight to the counter and tell the guy what you want. Don't make the mistake I made and waited for them to acknowledge you. Even if you're the only customer in there, they would not have cared to notice you. It would have been nice, if there was a sign that said "Order Here" or if the guys/girls behind counter would ask "How can I help you?" Also I ordered 2 bottled waters and the cashier girl told us to get it ourselves from the fridge, which was located near their prep area. It felt like I was invading their kitchen. Overall this place gets 3.5 stores. I rounded down on yelp bc of poor service. If this review was based soley on food, it would have been 4 stars. My order - 4 slices (2 margherita, 1 plain, 1 pepperoni) and 2 waters. Total $16. read more

Love this place. I've only ever eaten the pizza once or twice so I don't really have an opinion about that part but as far as the formal dinner goes- PC is a great choice! My fiance and I always start with the mozzarella in carrozza. Two delicious pieces of italian grilled cheese and an amazing tomato sauce to dip it in. I will never not order it. In addition to plain bread with butter, they also start you off with a garlic bread of some sort. Yum! I'm boring and pretty much always get the same thing these days- whole wheat spaghetti with broccoli in a garlic and oil sauce. I know it sounds basic but they manage to pack so much flavor in their garlic and oil that I just keep coming back for me! I used to get their penne vodka and thats good too. During my most recent visit I switched things up and tried the gnocchi alla vodka. Mmmm, may be my new go-to. The only negative is I do feel like their plain tomato sauce is a tad bit on the sweet side. The first time I tried it was when I ordered stuffed shells and I thought maybe the chef had accidentally doubled up on the sugar or added sugar instead of salt. I gave it another try the next time and it was the same so I avoid dishes with their plain tomato sauce. It isn't terrible just not my preferance. It tends to get pretty packed around dinner time during the weekends so be aware. I've never had to wait obnoxiously long though. No complaints about service. I just wish it was in brooklyn instead of queens :( read more

As an expert in the field; I have to suggest/recommend that this is the best Pizza Delivery for Forest Hills. Many Pizza places in Forest Hills, but quality overall across Forest Hills is poor. Pizza Classica stands out. We order from them several times a week. I wish I could give it 3 and 1/2 Stars; But - look, if you really want the best you can go to Rosa's on 69th in Maspeth and New Park in Howard Beach. This is wear the "Big Boys" go. Maybe too much focus on the speciality slices, I wish they would dial in the regular slice better as its getting harder and harder to find an excellent regular in queens. Perfecto pizzeria. This is the type of pizzeria I grew up with - a full-service pizzeria with lots of specialty pizzas available, and all done right. I tried the upside down pizza, it was really soft and almost delicate. I tried the chicken caesar slice and I actually loved it. For a semi-purist like me to get a chicken caesar salad pizza, it's nearly sacrilegious, but whatever, the blackened chicken was too damn tempting and I had to take a dip in the sin pool. Attended a surprise birthday party with 25 guests. Parking was free & convenient. Atmosphere was airy, clean & welcoming. Servers were polite, efficient & attentive. LOVE this place. The grandma slice and the margherita slice are my go to slices at this place and they never, ever dissapoint. Very clean, very modern look. The place looks 90% better than most pizzerias around Queens so I feel somewhat intimidated to eat-in after a quick stop and shop/ac moore run. But I do anyway, because it's so damn good. I haven't had a sit down dinner here yet. But I tend to order to go a lot from here. So I figure a follow up review will be needed in the future. They have a large array of pizza with toppings you wouldn't think of. My favorite is the chicken Caesar slice. Others I tend to order are grandma and grandpa slice and don't forget the upside down Sicilian. I must always come during rush peak times because it's a madhouse in there. Especially when it comes to take out. Phone is ringing of the hook, delivery guy is waiting for tons of orders to load into his car, pizza line is long. Good thing is line goes by quick. The staff of this place are extreme professionals under pressure and very savvy at multi tasking from taking orders from pizza line and also over the phone. While also tending to putting boxes of orders together for the delivery guys. I took one star off because they don't deliver far. They need to expand their service delivery more into forest hills. My family loves this place. This is our go to take out restaurant for when we want some pasta or salads. I LOVE the avocado salad, it is super delicious. Funny that we never had the pizza from here but they have some really awesome pasta. They actually have fresh pasta (check the menu for which pastas are fresh. They're like 2$ more but so worth it, such a huge difference). I'm boring so if I'm not getting avocado salad here, I'm getting boring pasta with vodka sauce (of course I get the fancy fresh pasta though, lol). This place gets extra points from me because when hurricane sandy came around we ordered food from here to donate and they gave us a 30% discount. They are nice people. Sometimes on the phone they sound a bit rude (probably unintentional because they are really busy) but they are always polite when I deal with them in person. Def a great place. I end up here at least twice a month. The food is always great, and they put a gourmet spin on pizzeria favorites. The pizza classica and rigatoni with eggplant are especially good! Pretty DAMN good. My job ordered this yesterday as a catered lunch and it was spectacular. The secretary ordered two salads, one calamari and one Ceasar, zucchini fries, a long fried chicken sub (at least 3 ft) and miscellaneous sandwiches. The servings were just enough, the food was fresh and so very yummy. I have never had this place before but let me tell you our department LOVED it. Pizza here is great! I grew up in queens and must say they know what they're doing. But.... Their sauce on their pizza is different then what they use for their entrees or anything else and it kinda sucks. Very sweet and watered down. Ruins some of the meals. Anything without sauce is excellent. One waiter there is really weird. I was sitting at the first table and he decided to lay his hand on the back of my chair and lean on it while tapping his foot on my chair. When I looked at him he said "don't be scared". Just can't go wrong with Pizza Classica! I've been here more times than I can count, and every experience has been great. If you want to indulge in huge portions of Italian-American favorites, this is the place to check out in the Forest Hills area. My favorites include the grandma slice and the gnocchi dishes. I also immediately devour the free garlic bread when it arrives at the table. Their baked pasta dishes, like the stuffed shells, are good, reliable standbys, but I personally probably wouldn't order them again because I don't think there's anything really unique about them. Also, the portions are way too big, and since they're nothing special, I quickly get tired of eating it and start craving something more flavorful. That being said, I haven't disliked any dish here, and I've tried many!
