We've been eating at Pizza Cottage in Pickerington for a few years now. Service-wise, in-house dining is usually very good. Pizza is okay (my wife loves their pizza more than I do), and their boneless chicken tenders are incredible. But my beef is with their takeout process. Several months ago, when my wife called in an order, the person who took the call was rude, interrupted my wife multiple times, and wasn't responsive to my wife letting him know they have the wrong name in their system that's associated with her phone number. I contacted PC through their website, which does NOT have a contact us button, but instead uses a customer service feature. Within a week, I received a generic, non-personalized form letter in the mail, thanking me for taking the time to do the survey, and included a 10% off next order card. No apologies of any kind for the rude service, etc. Fast forward to last Sunday to when my wife called in again, and this time when we came in to pick up the order, they had our order attached to a totally unknown person with a phone number we don't recognize, and that personal information was printed on our receipt - for privacy sake, this is a huge no-no. It's quite possible they have done the same thing with our contact information on someone else's order - who knows? So they gave us our pizzas, told us the chicken tenders were just about done, and asked if we could drive around and by the time we're back around, they should be done. When I came back around, the drive through line had grown from two cars to five. I instead decided to go inside, to which I found about 4 or 5 other customer waiting to be helped at the to-go counter. Two different servers who've waited on us in the dining room in the past came out to assist us in the lobby. One of those servers walked into the kitchen and gave a "talking-to" to one of the young workers, who wasn't working, but instead was looking at his mobile phone. He apparently grinned at her, which I couldn't see his face, but her response was, "it's NOT funny." In the process of waiting, I interestingly got to meet the guy who's name & number were on my receipt. His order wasn't quite ready either and asked for one of his items to be comped. Another customer told me he's going to "cross this place off the list." I finally talked to someone and he told me the chicken had been done for awhile, but hadn't "been put in the box." He finished my order and I was on my way. I got home, only to find out they gave us bone-in chicken wings and NOT the boneless chicken tenders we ordered. We were furious. I reluctantly did the online survey once again, going into great detail, fearing I'd get another generic form letter in the mail with a 10% off card. Sure enough, 3 days later, I got the letter & card - still with no personalized response or apology. I then visited their Facebook page and used their message option, which generated a generic message, acknowledging my message, and that someone would be back in touch with me within 24-hours. That window expired more than 48 hours ago. I usually prefer to try and share concerns privately with companies rather than going online and airing any dirty laundry. But I've come to see that this business does not care ONE BIT about customer service or good communications. They're absolutely HORRIBLE at that end of things and they do not deserve my business, nor should they expect anyone else to spend hard earned dollars on a place like this who has absolutely no regard for the customer. Their kitchen was a chaotic mess last Sunday when we placed our order, and their home office communications center appears to be just as messed up. They're a joke. read more

I was excited to test this place out, mostly because it seems to always be packed with customers, and I would really like to have a quality pizza place close to home. I was in for some epic disappointment. The pizza wasn't anything fabulous, though I suppose you get what you pay for. It seemed to be about the quality of a frozen pizza from the supermarket, and Kroger is just as close, so I'm compelled to stock up rather than order out. This used to be my, hands down, favorite pizza and hot sub shop in this part of town... but apparently they had too much of a good thing going and had to revamp their menu and food. They only offer about 1/3 of their subs and no more unique subs. We went for a plain jane ham and cheese sub. The meat was piled high... but it was cold because the meat was stacked (supposed to be a hot sub). The sub was pretty good but I was confused with the hot bread, melty cheese, but cold meat. Okay, the pizza. We went for a specialty pizza, Buffalo Chicken. The prices on their pizzas are pretty high... $17 for a medium pizza to feed two. The crust has been altered and is now a flavorless piece of crunchy cardboard covered in topping. The buffalo chicken pizza consisted of meat, cheese, hot sauce. For $17 i expect a little more. I am not sure why the changes, but this visit put the Pizza Cottage from my top 2 pizza and sub joints into the "do not go back" list of restaurants, which really is a shame. read more

My family visited the Grove City location today. We had a wonderful experience. The food was amazing (and we ordered a variety of different menu items). The staff was very friendly and helpful and interacted with our grandkids making them feel just as welcome. As a grandparent my only thing I would recommend to add would be a program for children on one of the many tvs that are available. We are definitely planning on enjoying more meals there and highly recommend it to everyone!!!! read more

I had food from their food truck the other day and not only was it not priced well, the food was quite mediocre. I ordered a slice of pepperoni, and the italian sub with no veggies on it. They were ok with the slice of pepp order, but wasn't happy with me when I was for the sub with no veggies. It took about 5 minutes to get the order, and once it was ready the woman handed it to me with a snippy attitude. Once I got the sub back to work, there was not much meat on the sub. There was tons of bread but hardly any meat. Especially when they're charging $8 for the sub and $4 for the slice of pizza. has the little amount of meat on it, it is unacceptable. If I was going to die, I'd want pizza to be my last meal. If I had to choose which pizza to make my final pizza, I'd die. But I'd have to say that the Pizza Cottage's BLT pizza would be in the top three easily. It is a unique style of BLT pizza where there is a regular pizza that has the expected Bacon, Lettuce and Tomatoes, but additionally, there is another pizza crust on top as well as mayo, creating very manageable "pizza sandwiches" to hold and eat. I had never had an interest in non-traditional pizzas, but a good friend of mine insisted I try this pizza and I'm glad she did. So, I highly recommend you try the BLT pizza here. And I hope you're hungry because it will fill you up! I have since tried other offerings from the Pizza Cottage and they have all be pretty good. But I now I always will stick with the BLT. read more

I am so tired of not getting what I order or only getting half an order. I quit using door dash because of that, so this time I called my order in and sent my husband to pick it up with instructions to make sure everything was there. I ordered two spaghetti dinners, one with meat sauce and was very specific to the girl that one was to have sauce with no meat (I'm vegetarian). He gets home and they both had meat and the receipt said two with meat sauce, so obviously the girl taking the order is the one who made the mistake. I always call back and speak to a manager, who every time offers me a credit for next time. Funny thing, they never have a record of a credit under my name when I try to redeem it. I asked if they could just bring it to me (after all, it was their mistake) but she said "We don't deliver to houses, just businesses". I would think they would make an exception when it's their error. This will be my last time ordering from them. I'm tired of paying for something I either didn't get or got the wrong item! read more

I just picked up my to go order that my Husband called in. He had to repeat his order several times to the person on the phone. I grew up in the Pizza Cottage family....several of my younger siblings worked and still work for their various locations (not this one or I would've complained to them directly). We ordered a BLT pizza with no tomato and a salad with 4 honey French dressings. We get to the drive thru and I check the bag. There are 2 ranch dressings in the bag. We asked the girl at the window to switch them out. I get home and there is tomato on my pizza. The mexican pizza was an incredibly sad disappointment. Little to no toppings, undercooked, zero flavor. This is strike 2 for me (last time was the baked potato pizza). The Picktown location should consider sticking to standard pizza shop fare and ditch the specialty options. Not sure I'm giving them another opportunity to disappoint. Pretty darn good. The sauce has really good flavor. Regular crust is perfectly thin and crispy. The Sicilian crust is nice because while thicker, it still maintains the crispy bottom. The bread for the sub is really tasty. Service was great, really enjoyed the food. read more

Worst experience I have ever had. My family came on the evening of 08/21/18 because it was my daughters birthday and she wanted pizza plus we live near by. We came in and was instructed by the signs to sit ourselves. It was not busy at all pertaining to the amount of customers. We were seated for over 15 mins and as employees/waiters/waitress passed us without even acknowledging us. After being fed up we got up and had to ask for someone to give us menus. After receiving menus we sat for another 15 mins with still no acknowledgement not even asked what drinks we would like!!! We contemplated leaving but our daughter really wanted pizza. So this time my wife got up and found a waitress and had to ask them to take our order. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
