I have been a loyal customer of Pizza Factory for years now. I lived in Placerville for years and it became our families regular pizza joint. However a year ago I moved to Cameron Park at first happy to know I still had a local Pizza Factory. But, now after three orders gone wrong I can say without reservation that this is by far the worst ever and I highly recommend you go anywhere else but here. Sadly even Dominos would be better. In a nut shell I have placed three orders since I moved and each was wrong - one they didn't even put any tomato sauce on??? And today - on my sons birthday - I placed an order as he loves pizza and has fond memories of the store in Placerville. So I placed my order and was told it would be 55 minutes until it was ready - which I already thought was unusual - but when I showed to pick-up my order had not even begun to make it yet - they could not even locate my ticket. They told me I would have to wait for it to be made? They were not in any way apologetic nor offered any sort of discount or anything, nor did they even seem to care that I was going to just walk out - in fact they even ridiculed me on the way out. Goodbye Pizza factory you just lost a 12 year plus loyal customer do to the complete incompetence of this branch. Three strikes and your out and this was the 3rd... clearly you guys don't care but you just ruined my sons birthday party!!! This place has the potential to be amazing. The pizza is really good. Definitely top tier that I've had in the general area. The downsides are that most of the arcade games don't work. Kind of frustrating when you're there for a child's birthday party. The other issue is it's beat down. The bathrooms are pretty gross, things are falling apart and just not working. Tried this place last night and here's what we think. I write this lengthy review in the hopes that the owner can improve this promising restaurant. Ordering. First, the person we assumed was the owner began taking our order, then before completing it, passed us off on to a teenage kid. Not a great first impression on service or professionalism. Not Good. We took our seat at a booth. Tables were clean and each table had Jenga and checkers games to pass time while waiting for our order. Nice touch. Good! There was a unique self-serve soda dispenser that dispensed a huge variety of soft drinks. Had never seen a machine like this before...it much have cost a fortune. Good! The place has Chuck E Cheese type gaming which makes for lots of kids and a plethora of noise. I understand this is a draw for kids, but didn't appeal to us. It could have been set up better. Not Good! The staff of teenage kids seemed untrained, but of the 4 or 5 we interacted with, they were pleasant and eager to serve. Just okay, needs work! The two pizzas arrived at our table in a reasonable amount of time. We had ordered a large all meat Rubicon and a medium Chicken Artichoke. The Rubicon had plenty of toppings and tasted excellent. Crust, outstanding. The extra sauce we ordered on the pizza didn't happen, but it was still enjoyable. Very Good! The Chicken Artichoke was made by someone that was obviously not well trained. It came out kind of weird and miss-shaped and was significantly smaller than the round pan it was cooked on, therefore, we kind of felt we got ripped off on this one. The toppings were dispersed unevenly. The sauce for this particular pizza (Ranch I think), had almost no flavor. They should either make fresh Ranch or change it to something else. Maybe a garlic sauce. We wouldn't order this pizza again. Not Good! Dining experience. To the lady in the next booth with the unruly 12 year olds that were acting like 6 year old brats on a playground, take some parenting classes and get some anger management. Not Good! (Not reflective on our rating). Overall, the Pizza Factory in Cameron Park has promise. A bit pricey, but we don't mind paying for quality food. We would classify Pizza Factory's food as good quality. We might come back, but only for to go orders. If you want to enjoy a nice place to enjoy a quiet meal, this is not the place for you. If you have kids and don't mind the racket or the prices, you should consider giving them a try. NOTE TO OWNER: Set an example of friendly, excellent customer service to your very young staff. This is a critical time for you as a newly opened business. You may not have a second chance to make a good impression on a new customer. Consider making rounds to your tables every 30 minutes or so to ensure your new customers are happy and have everything they need, so they may become repeat customers. Have your most promising employees follow you so they may do the same when you are not available. Consider a wall or divider of sorts to significantly reduce noise from the gaming area. Spend extra time with those kids "tossing" your pizza dough. If you want to boast about tossed pizzas being "awesome", make sure your staff can pull it off. You have the potential to be 5 star! Pizza Factory needs some help with its Staff. Especially in the kitchen, the most important part of the experience. Here is a rundown of what we experienced food wise. #1 The case of the uneven pizza. - Our pizza had more toppings on one side versus the other. Kind of a strange thing but I saw it on other pizza's here, and I saw the same on other reviews in this forum. I guess PF Cameron Park needs to learn how to build a more even pizza. #2 The lonely Breadsticks - they came out with cold pizza sauce, not hot or warm marinara. And to get sauces took a wait. #3 The limp spaghetti and meat sauce platter - came out with mushy spaghetti, and a downright gross crust of overdone, over-cheesy crust on top. My son wouldn't eat the dish. That's rare for a teenager. #4 Iron sides Garlic Bread - ours had a downright scary thick hardened crust of cheese on it, made it inedible for my son, and I looked at it, with a curl in my lip. We told the waitress of our issues, and she said she'd talk to the kitchen. The staff is very young, inexperienced, but super-friendly. But this place needs a crew meeting and regular quality oversight from a manager. The nicest thing to say is if you share a "simple" pizza here and something from the cool automated coke machine and you stay away from the noisy arcade then you may enjoy a 3 star experience. But really? I like the owner's other restaurants, he is experienced, and hopefully things will "mature". read more

This is an old school pizza place reminiscent of family time from my childhood. Hands down best pizza in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs We got the Greek with chicken- yum! And the Bruin Special (no bacon, though and extra mushrooms) I suggest the thin crust, because the thick crust is super thick. But, the red sauce is amazing on any pizza! I did a online order at 6 pm, they said pick up at 6:50 pm, I arrived and they have not started to make my pizza, had to wait another 40 mins. I grew up going to Pizza Factory. This is a new location. I was excited to take my son because I heard they had an arcade. Sadly, this location needs a lot of help. It really comes down to management. They were out of 4 out of 7 draft beers. We were given a framed beer list at the counter. So, if the manager knows they are out of 4 beers, print a new beer list in the morning. The staff is friendly but the service was lacking. They were not trained. They brought pizza but no plates. The pizza was ok. I would eat it again but would not go out of my way. The arcade is sad. The machines are very old and did not work properly. They should have invested in newer machines especially since there are few arcade pizza parlors anymore. I won't go back and waste my money on these machines. If the machines were newer, I wouldn't hesitate. I doubt there will be a mass of repeat customers. read more

First time in and we picked a Friday night. Place is packed by 7 pm. Ordering took a little while. One of the two employees seem to know how to use the machine. I checked in on Yelp to use the $2 off large pizza, but it still came up over $40 dollars for pizza, garlic bread and soda. Also, I had to ask for an itemized receipt, which surprised me. Now we tried the all meat pizza and it was really delicious. The meat was higher quality than a take and bake. The cheesy garlic bread was also good, but you only receive 4 little strips for $4.95. Soda run you $2.50 each, which isn't prices on the menu. The plus is the fancy soda machine and not having to ask for more to drink. Minus, is the long soda line of people trying to figure out machine. Kids played a few games and lost tokens in some also. Small ticket redemption made them happy though. This place is ran by disrespectful children. We placed an order by deliver and was accused of being intoxicated as we trying to get our order together. Meanwhile the representative told all the employers we were drunk and were laughing on the phone. Then after our food was delivered they called back and said we were on the no delivery list as there delivery driver was sexually harassed. For those of you under 20 who think your generation get a bad rap for being lazy and workshy, come here and watch for an example as to why that is. This is my 3rd poor experience here. I refuse to give this place even one star, unless I'm forced to. This is the second bad experience we've had. The first was a delivery order gone horribly wrong: an over long wait and then missing, but paid for items, they actually had to come back to our house, ridiculous!!!! But today trumps any other bad experience I've had here or anywhere really. We came in around noon on Saturday, when we pulled into the parking lot we were excited to see a sign stating that all you can eat lunch was from 11-2 EVERYDAY, so once inside I told the girl at the register (side note: she looked as though she had literally rolled out of bed and come to work, unappetizing and unprofessional) that we'd all be ordering the all. you can eat lunch, I was abruptly and very rudely told it's only available M-F as if it was my error in reading the sign YOU PUT OUT THERE incorrectly, I tried to explain that the sign clearly reads EVERYDAY, but was cut off and told that the owner would have to make that decision, but of course the owner was nowhere to be found, how convenient. I was beyond irritated, mostly because of the lack of customer service........ whatever happened to the customer is always right??? Well in this case I actually was right and not just trying to be difficult although that's how I was made to feel, completely unacceptable. Since we were already there, with two hungry kids in tow, one just barely over a year old, we decided to order anyways, if I'd had my way we would have left, our money would have been better spent at McDonald's.......so $80 later, yes seriously $80 (we did order 2 small pizzas, 1 large pizza, breadsticks, 2 salads and 3 sodas though, so........) we got our pizzas, which we believe are always good, that's why this experience is so disappointing, I then tried a second time to reason with the cashier and explain that it would be a better business practice to not falsely advertise something you aren't prepared to honor, suggesting that perhaps they should take down the sign to avoid any further frustrated and confessed customers, when she continued in the same rude, unprofessional manner as before I asked to speak to the owner or a manager, as it turns out she is the manager, unbelievable.........I wouldn't leave this girl in charge of taking out my trash, let alone manage my business, to me that says a lot about the owners!!!!!!! As the manager she did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue, not even offer an aplology for their obvious oversight. Futhermore the salad bar wasn't fully stocked: no ladels for the dressing, dirty utensils and ladels on the salad bar, missing salad toppings both dry and refrigeratd, no soup, or pre-made salads.....they'd been open since 9 or so it says when you google them, but here it says 11, either way I can't imagine what they were doing for 3 hours or prior to opening up to the public?!?!?! I'm so angry I don't even want to continue and honestly the money wouldn't have been an issue if we'd been treated better, but the customer service from the so-called manager was deplorable, nonexistent, horrible, awful, I could go on and on, but I'm sure you get it!!!! I'm done with this place, which is disheartening because I think it is very important to spend money to make our small, wonderful town and community better, keep it local is my moto and with limited choices here, we often frequent the same establishments........the Pizza Factory was much better when it first opened, and I can say that we did have a great experience here January 2015 celebrating my son's birthday, but they have clearly failed to properly staff their restaurant and manage their business, they don't deserve anymore of my family's hard earned money and I suggest you think twice about wasting your money here either, it is an epic failure. The pizza was great and the garlic breadsticks were the best I've ever had. Covered in melted butter and garlic......OMG! So yummy! The little arcade is great for the kids, very similar to a chuck-e-cheese with tickets and prizes. It kept them busy without me worries about where they were! We will be back for sure! read more

First off, I'll be as fair as possible with the review. Ive been here 4 times total. 2 times it was ok with decent service and friendly staff. The other 2 times I have to echo some remarks made by others and that is the perception that there are no adults in charge and teens being responsible for running the place. One occasion we had burned pizza that had to be sent back, and a milk shake made with spoiled milk. Another occasion one my kids got sick eating the food. I have nothing but good things to say about the quality and the staff at pizza factory in Cameron Park. I used to frequent the Placerville pizza factory, so when I saw a new shop open up I admit I was skeptical. However, they have yet to disappoint me. Quality is excellent and even more importantly to me, the guest service is great. I work in retail and I value immensely being treated well when I am visiting an establishment. Everyone at this location has been great but I want to give a special shout out to one of their new hires. I'm sorry that I don't know her name but when I was in there tonight 12-14-15 she was doing a great job on the register. She was very pleasant, and kept her cool, which I know can be difficult to keep up when you are busy learning things and have to ask allot of questions, but she was great. Keep her around Pizza Factory! When you have someone who is that good with your guests you better not let her go! read more

We super liked this place when it first opened but I don't think they have cleaned it since then. We took the checkers game out that they have at the table, and it was covered in green mildew. We specifically chose this place because it had a great arcade. Not so great anymore, half the games were broken. The beer was flat and the salad bar was gnarly. The beets were slimy and the lettuce was wilted. Surely didn't look like they had fresh anything in there. Soooo....this place is a total train wreck! While the pizza is generally good, the service has tons of room for improvement. It appears they prioritize delivery orders above ALL in house orders, so the result is a restaurant packed full of HANGRY people all staring at each other in disbelief that they've all been sitting around for over an hour waiting for their pizza. I myself have been here for 30 minutes and haven't seen a single pizza delivered to a table! Instead I've witnessed many people demand refunds and loathe in disbelief! Until they figure out how to improve their operations I recommend staying far far away...that is unless you're willing to wait for hours on end!
