The staff were polite and on top of everything. I had the lasagna and it was hot from beginning to end. I felt it could use more pasta, but it was rich and satisfying. My wife said her Tuscany soup was "chocked full of goodness". She felt a bowl would've been too much, so the cup was perfect. She also really enjoyed the amount of cheese and artichoke in the beignets. The artichoke was present but not overwhelming, and the cheese was creamy and delicious. The meal came with a side of warm bread, and it paired perfectly with the side of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We look forward to many more meals here. We sat outside with a nice view of a small creek. The sound of the freeway can sometimes take away from the peaceful outside ambience, but it's nothing the restaurant can control. We had a wonderful experience and definitely recommend this restaurant.

They did give us that meal for free. With our party of four including a bottle of wine and an appetizer was just under $200. A bit pricy but like I said the food was delicious. I don't know exactly what the problem was with the amount of time for our food since they were not that busy with several open tables.

We split the steak, carrots, and fingerling potatoes with an amazing sauce! There was enough for us to split it into two. The wine was amazing from local wineries, the waitress was sweet and friendly and had grear service. We will definitely be back to check out the outside area and I definitely recommend!!

So if you like those Raiders of the Lost Ark vibes, then you would like sitting next to the mine for sure. It's roped off but you can hear the water dripping and it is naturally cool. The structure was originally built as a hotel in 1853 and has been well preserved. I ordered their Smith Flat House salad ($10) and the Jambalaya Risotto ($34) which consisted of Cajun-marinated prawns, lobster meat, Andouille sausage, grilled sweet corn with saffron chicken risotto. Definitely had a bit of a kick to it, the risotto was done well. My pet peeve is mushy risotto, it needs to have a slight bite to it which this one had thankfully. Love the fact that this place serves up local wines -- I couldn't recall the wine I had and they do not have their wine menu on their website. If you have the opportunity to visit, I'd recommend a glass of red from Starfield (winery up the road).

We were not in a hurry and were told around 6 minutes for our order (which seemed way too quick). It took about 20 minutes which, again, was absolutely fine because we were in no rush. But a better expectation should be set. Also, they were out of the ingredients for at least 3 of the pies and the dough on the Ireland was a bit undercooked on the edge. The interior is very small with one table (3 seats) and a counter (2 seats). The business is attached to and run by the same people who own the Enchanted Forest. The decorations are fake ivy leaves and fake bark with moss on the walls and ceilings. Unfortunately, these things are difficult to keep clean and, therefore, carry a hefty amount of dust in the Enchanted Forest side where the restroom is located. Also, the fan in the Pastry shop looks like it has not been cleaned in 10 years. The employee handled dirty plates with the same gloved hand that he then used to continue making our food. Not sure I would return.

My husband fell in love with their meat sauce I ordered when we were there in March for a birthday dinner so I thought I'd order him take out dinner tonight as a nice treat since he was working in the area. I called just after 5 pm when they open, but no answer. I get that they are busy so gave it a few minutes and tried again. This time the young gal who answered just picked up and said "hold!" (no greeting, very abrupt & almost angry sounding) and finally came back 10 minutes later (5:18pm, no niceties like "thanks for holding"). I know the menu well so quickly gave her the order with the salad dressing preference. She abruptly told me salad is an extra charge on to go orders (ok, fine) and that the food wouldn't be ready until at least 5:50pm, almost as if she was trying to bait me into canceling the order. I've never been made to feel like such a bother to an establishment that I'm about to give $50 to for a couple take out containers of spaghetti & meatballs. I grew up in the family restaurant business and my parents taught me better customer service skills by the time I was 10. Funny how one bad employee, clearly with a gnarly chip on her shoulder, can make the whole establishment look bad. I'm glad it was my husband who picked up the food because if I had gotten any more attitude, I would've had to use some of my "big girl" words on her.

They do not, however they do something called a "fast pass" which basically means they put your name down and if you arrive while there's a wait, you get seated before anyone else who is waiting and does not have a fast pass. Kind of a different approach. I was glad that when we arrived, there wasn't anyone else waiting and there were tables available. Service was very attentive and friendly. He took our drink orders and allowed us some time to decide what to eat. Hubs and I both debated between multiple options- a lot sounded so good- but we both decided on the filet mignon. On the menu, it indicated that the dish comes with a béarnaise sauce; my husband really doesn't care for tarragon so he requested a substitution of their mushroom rosemary sauce instead (which is offered with their ribeye), and they happily obliged. The meal also included Yukon mashed potatoes and veggies. Our food was delivered soon after and I was pleasantly surprised that not only were our steaks still very warm but that they were cooked a perfect medium rare. The quality of the steaks was great, they were nice and thick. The veggies were, for the most part, overdone and a bit soggy, but that's not something that bothers me too much. The potatoes had good flavor but could have used much more milk/cream as they were pretty dry and firm. The experience was a good one and I would definitely return if we lived closer. I liked that their menu had a lot to offer- this is a good place for a family who has various tastes. Shout out to our server, Carver, who was great and provided very good service.

The food is outstanding, but what really sets them apart is the level of service. Honestly some of the best I have experienced anywhere. I walked in about 20 minutes before closing, which most places would not be thrilled about, and they welcomed me without hesitation. No attitude, no rushing, just genuine hospitality. While I was waiting for my pizza, someone, possibly the owner, came over and told me they had accidentally dropped my pizza in the oven and it did not look great. He said there was nothing wrong with it, but because of how it looked, they were going to give it to me for free on top of the new pizza they were making. That alone says everything about their standards and integrity. It did not stop there. I had also grabbed the last piece of tiramisu, and before I left, he handed me a coupon for a free tiramisu next time. That is not normal service. That is above and beyond. The pizza itself was incredible. Unique combinations, bold flavors, and clearly made with care. The tiramisu was just as good. Rich, balanced, and the perfect finish. This place is the real deal. Great people, amazing food, and a level of customer service you just do not see anymore. Must stop if you are passing through El Dorado.

Well, after going there almost every week since November, I've got an even better one. I don't have celiac, but am very gluten intolerant. After going there (a lot) the manager talked to me about how because their dough is from Italy (cleaner ingredients) and partially fermented from the sourdough starter, he's had people who couldn't eat gluten, eat the "regular" dough without a problem. The next time we went in we got 1 gluten-free and 1 regular. I ate my gf one but took a bite of the other (if you suffer you know it doesn't take more than a bite)...and nothing, no reaction, I was fine. So we order 2 regular pizzas the next time. I freaking almost cried. I ate the whole dang thing because it was the first time I've had "regular" bread/dough in 17ish years. I love the people, I love the food, and I will never quit this place.
