Came in on 5/17/26 with my beautiful wife, my darling daughter, and my adorable toddler for good family dinner. We wanted the advertised Pizookie meal deals but realized it was only for weekdays. They did have a weekend Pizookie meal which both my wife and I got and the kiddos got kid's meals, my eldest getting Alfredo spaghetti with giant meatball and toddler getting spaghetti with grilled chicken. I got the prime rib (rare) with rice pilaf and mashed potatoes and chicken tortilla soup on the side. Our server was patient with all of the kids antics and was super cool. Ambiance in the restaurant was casual and not too busy. The prime rib Pizookie meal deal was pretty good. Giant slab of meat with sauces made the meal pretty awesome. The rice pilaf and mashed potatoes made the Prime rib taste tastier. My Pizookie was the triple chocolate but gave it to my daughter since my throat was swollen and sore. 5/5 . Time for an update! Our family of 4 stopped by on Sunday evening. We ordered the Prime Rib Weekend Specials and Kids' Create-Your-Own-Pastas. My hubby and I were a huge fan of the prime rib and sides! We shared the Dubai Chocolate and Triple Chocolate Pizookies they came with and they were to die for!! Kids loved their filling meals! Went to BJ's in Folsom to meet up with my girls before I head out to Hawaii to help with the natural disaster response, so this dinner meant a little more than just grabbing food. I don't get a lot of time with them because of their careers and life always moving fast, so anytime we can all sit down together, I'm taking it. We got there after 8 and you could definitely tell they were probably a little short staffed. Things moved a little slower than usual and we had to wait a bit here and there, but it never felt like anyone was being careless. We ordered the BJ's pizza and my girls got the chicken pizza, and once the food hit the table, everything was good. It came out hot, tasted good, and everybody was happy. Even with the slower pace, the service was still good and everyone was polite and trying, which always goes a long way with me. Came in for dinner and the place was packed. We were a big party and they had no problem accommodating us. Unfortunately, it took so long to get our food to the extent that it was annoying already. The table that got seated after us even got their food first. I got the full rack baby back ribs with mashed potato and veggies for sides and salmon with rice and broccoli for my child. The baby back ribs was more bone than meat. I liked the mashed potatoes though the serving size of the sides were smaller than other food chain's sides portion. The food I liked most was the dessert. I'm down here in the Folsom area for a work location and I came here for dinner with one of my co workers. I saw online ad for this deal they have here, it's $13 and you get a choice of like 8 different entree's some with sides and this pizookie dessert thing. I never had one before, but I guess if it's part of the $13 deal, I try it! We're seated quickly and drinks orders taken. Looking over the menu, I see some of the choices for $13 are a personal deep dish pizza of different topping choices and it includes a side salad, either house or Caesar. Other choices were a pasta dish, chicken parm, a big double cheeseburger, fried chicken or a couple of salads. I heard the deep dish pizza was pretty good here so that's what I went with. I ordered the BJ's Classic Combo and a Caesar Salad. My friend followed my lead and ordered the same. Looking around, yeah it looks upscale chain restaurant, which is not a bad thing at all. The service was super friendly, I guess they're trained that way, and efficient. Drinks were refilled promptly. The salads arrive first. Wow, that's a nice looking Caesar Salad, for being a side salad, it was a decent size! It was tossed perfect with not too much dressing and the plate was even cold! We both liked the salad, so far so good. The personal pizzas arrive and they are kinda small, but hella thick with tons of toppings. It was just cut in half, so we cut the halves again to make four pieces. That half pizza slice would been too big to lift up and bite into. It was a choice, do I use a knife and fork civilized or just go for the face stuffing method. Being it was so thick, (yeah the PIZZA!), I had to open wide. OMG, was that a tasty first bite in my mouth! My friend, she agreed too! I gotta say this deep dish pizza was better than I thought it was gonna be. Maybe not the ultimate best I ever had, but damn worth the price here at BJ's. I'll come back for this deal again, and it's available at all the BJ's Brew locations I think. read more

Came here with the family for a bite to eat and ordered the $13 Pizookie meal deal. It comes with your choice of select entrees and a Pizookie for dessert, which is a good value. I chose the chicken bacon ranch personal sized deep dish pizza. I first tried this pizza at a work holiday party, where it was a huge hit with everyone, and it instantly became my favorite pizza here. When ordering the personal pizza as part of the deal, you also get a house salad. I went with the Caesar salad, which was fresh and tasty. For dessert, I ordered the Strawberry Shortcake Pizookie. You really cannot go wrong with any of them. They are served warm, gooey in the middle, with a slight crisp on the edges, and topped with ice cream. The Strawberry Shortcake Pizookie also came with strawberries and whipped cream. They have a solid selection of in-house craft beers on tap. I ordered my favorite, the Jeremiah Red. The atmosphere is relaxed, and our server was friendly and attentive. I'm not sure how long this meal deal will last, but hopefully it's still going on the next time I come in. read more

It's the value you get for the money you pay. Lack luster burgers, pizza is mostly bread with some sparse toppings thrown on. We just left feeling ripped off. I've driven by BJ's many times and finally decided to try it with my wife. Our server was friendly, but after waiting over an hour with no food, we learned our order was never placed due to a device issue, which wasn't communicated to us until much later. During the wait, another server dropped ranch dressing that splashed onto my chair and shirt. Everyone makes mistakes, but it would have been appreciated if she had acknowledged it, helped clean up, checked whether I was okay, and offered napkins and an apology instead of passing it to a colleague. When the food finally arrived, it was overly salty. While I sympathize with our main server, the overall service felt disorganized and undertrained. I ordered the kids' pepperoni pizza with white cheddar mashed potatoes on the side and a chocolate milk. All fresh and delicious. He compared it to french bread pizza. I got the soup, salad, steak, and shrimp. The shrimp was good, tho I wish we could have ordered the steak MR. I guess the lowest they go is medium. The service was horrible!!!! The place was empty but we waited 18 minutes for our order to be taken. Instead of apologizing for the wait or thanking us for our patience, the server gave us attitude. The pizza was overdone - burnt! Then when we told the manager, he offered to remake the pizza, but since we were already 50 minutes into this meal by this point, he then offered to comp the meal instead. As we were picking what we could off the pizza, to at least have something to eat, the server who had more attitude than service, came over and told us, with her hand on her hip and our pizza in her hand that she was taking the pizza away because we weren't paying for it. We are now sitting down at different restaurant enjoying our food and the awesome service!! Our current server thanks you little Miss BJs because their tip just got tripled thanks to you. Such a great family spot for lunch or dinner! I love how the servers acknowledge that the kids tend to get more impatient so they provide them with little snacks before their food arrives like goldfish and fruits. There's pretty much something for everyone in their menu which is so convenient since everyone has different diet restrictions. Parking can get a little difficult on Friday nights and weekends, but they'll always be parking even though you might have to walk just a little further. Overall, the service is usually pretty good when we go, and the restaurant is usually kept clean. I took out one star because every time we order food for takeout, it's always a mess or there's always some type of confusion on the order. I came in today for lunch with my grandma I ended up getting the chicken Santa Fe salad with a side of extra dressing it was super good and flavorful a good size. The service was very good and our waitress kept making sure we were ok and to see if we needed anything. Also the manager came by to check on us and to see how our lunch was and if we needed anything it was nice. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were very friendly and nice. I honestly never write reviews, but I had to make a Yelp account after what my family went through at BJ's in Folsom this past Tuesday. I don't even know where to start, the experience was absolutely awful. We came in thinking we'd enjoy dinner and a Pizookie, but the restaurant felt more like a middle school playground than a place to eat. There were groups of kids everywhere, standing around other people's tables, yelling across the restaurant, running through the walkways, and crowding near the entrance. It was impossible to even have a conversation at our table because the noise was nonstop shouting and laughter. None of them seemed to care that they were in a place of business or that other customers were trying to eat around them. On top of that, I saw kids tearing up coasters and napkins, throwing trash on the floor, and even tossing coasters across the restaurant like frisbees. It was total chaos, not the kind of environment anyone would want to eat in. To make things worse, about halfway through our meal, this horrible smell started spreading through the restaurant. It honestly smelled like rotten eggs or even a gas leak, so strong that people were covering their noses and looking around to see what was going on. The smell lingered for nearly an hour, and it made my family feel sick to our stomachs. We were close to walking out early because it was unbearable. When I took my 4 year-old son to the restroom, it was crowded with a group of loud teenagers hanging out near the sinks. They were yelling, laughing, and clearly not there to use the bathroom. A couple of them were sneakily hitting their vapes when they thought no one was looking. It was really uncomfortable, not something I expected to walk into with my young kid. Service wise, our drinks were delayed because our server said they were out of cups, and when our desserts finally came, we were given forks because they had run out of spoons. Even the cups we did get didn't look very clean. I feel bad for the staff, it's obvious they're doing their best, but something seriously needs to change on Tuesday nights. No family should have to sit through that kind of chaos, smell, and disrespect just to have dinner. If management doesn't get this under control soon, I honestly don't see how this location keeps regular customers. We won't be back on a Tuesday again. read more

To start, I am a huge fan of the BJ's franchise so it seemed like a great idea to try out a new location. My family and I just moved to the Folsom area and wanted a familiar place to dine at. The service was good and the servers working were very respectful and accommodating(we had our 8 month old with us). Now being considerate of the fact that it was a Friday night before Mothers Day, it was fairly busy and I feel for the servers in that regard. The issue I have is when the food arrived it was haphazardly thrown onto our plates. My wife ordered the jambalaya, and it arrived at the table with an inch tall mountain of spices on one side of the bowl rim, and there was no spices mixed in anywhere else on the plate. I had ordered the brisket burger cooked medium, however when it arrived the bacon, burger patty, and "brisket" were all grey colored and were slightly above room temperature. Obviously my main concern was the meat not having been prepped/cooked throughly. After about three bites I had to put it down because it was without any flavor and felt almost cool on the inside and immediately made me lose my appetite. I am not sure if the food prompted this specifically but my family and I had to leave almost right after our food was served because my wife started having a medical emergency with her airways. We later spent 5 hours in the ER getting tests done and getting my wife help. Ultimately the doctors could not say what the cause of her issues were but rest assured, we will never dine at this location again. The BJ's location in Roseville and even Arden area are leagues above Folsom as far as quality and experience. And if you know the Sacramento area then you would know it says a lot if Arden is outperforming Folsom. I would highly recommend you take the few extra minutes of your time to drive a little farther and really enjoy your time at a different BJ's restaurant. read more
