The pizza is always consistently good and the service is WONDERFUL. We bring a group of jr high students in every week and the staff bends over backward to take care of us. The upstairs arcade is an added bonus. read more

We ordered two Gluten Free Pepperoni Pizzas for pick up. They were Awesome! We went back today for two more, this time we ate in and had salad too, It was fresh, clean and had a good selection. The pepperoni/mushrooms Gluten Free pizzas are really ,really good! I am always looking for "Good" Gluten free food and am happy to have found it right here in Ione! The entire Resturaunt has had a much needed facelift & its CLEAN! It is not only inviting now and comfortable but the new crew there is personable and Super friendly. We reserved the upstairs room for 25 people and the manager assured us that we would be able to use the TV to show a video. When we arrived the room was still dirty from a kids party. There was 2 employees in the whole place. They cleaned up the room and told us that they had no idea how we could hook up a DVD player since their TV was mounted high above a stairway. Well, one of our party ended up in a precarious position balancing himself straddling the stairway and managed to plug in the cable. I informed the female employee that there is no toilet paper or paper towels in the women's bathroom. She tells me to use the bathroom downstairs. In the meantime one of the 2 employees leaves to go to their other location to pick up a CO2 tank to run the soda machine, we are told she would be gone at least one hour, leaving one employee to take our orders and cook our food as well as all the other customers downstairs. Making it a very long wait to get anything. One of our party couldn't wait for his food and ordered a salad to go. The only plastic silverware they could give him was a spoon. They never did fix the soda machine and eventually some more employees arrived. Very unhappy. They knew we were coming and made no provisions for us whatsoever. read more

I went in here for lunch today. 12:15 in the afternoon and salad bar was not ready yet. The plate was dirty and it took the kid working there five try's to find me a clean plate. Once he got the salad bar put together, the lettuce was old and wilted. Pizza was ok but not worth the money. I was the only person in the place at lunch time. Now I understand why. read more

Here's the deal....the 2 gals that were working were so great! They were slammed!!! They were so amazing under pressure they never lost their smiles and still gave great customer service. However.....it was just the 2 of them. It was a busy night because there was an event going on in town. Which is anual and they had ample time to prepare staffing wise... I have worked at pizza places before and offered to jump in and help because I felt so bad for the 2 girls. I did clean all the tables for them as the line out there door and all the dirty tables wouldn't have worked. Everything took an hour. These poor gals couldn't even leave the kitchen and register to stock the salad bar so I brought them empty containers trying to help. They declined further of my help I'm sure due to liability. The food was good but the owner or manager failed them due to lack of staffing. I felt so bad for these 2 gals. I have worked in the restaurant industry for 20 years and this was so bad. Worst service ever. First we ordered wings and a pizza. Then they called 50mins later and said they are out of wings and asked if we wanted something else or just money back for the wings. We came here for the first time last night..never again...we waited for over an hour for a pizza. It probably would have been longer if I didn't go up to the counter to ask what was taking so long! There was 2 people working in the back but they were busy talking to each other they weren't paying attention to either the front counter or the cooked pizzas that were piling up at the other end of the machine. I was hoping that after all that trouble at least the pizza would be good...but honestly, it was nothing special. I tried Pizza Factory for the first time last week. Apparently, it is under new management. Business appeared slow but it to be fair it was mid afternoon. When I got there the pizza was just coming out of the oven. It was a to-go order and it smelled delicious. So much so that I couldn't wait and had to eat some on the way home. The crust was nice and very crispy without being burnt or overdone. The vegetable toppings for very fresh and crisp not at all soggy and the meat toppings were generous to say the least. I will definitely eat from their menu again. The pizza was very flavorful and I would recommend it to anyone that hasn't tried their pizza recently. Good job !!! read more

We had some last minute issues with where we were going to have my youngest son's 7th birthday party, so I called up the Pizza Factory (because it is close to where we live in Plymouth) and I have to say that the manager, Dee Dee, was SO helpful. She gave us a great deal for renting the bounce house and 10% off any food we ordered...which was very helpful to us because we were on a tight budget! We were a party of 12 and our food was ready in a timely manner, it tasted great, the service was polite and helpful (above and beyond), the restaurant itself was clean and tidy, and my son & the other kids had a great time in the game room upstairs! Pizza Factory pizza is sooooooo good. Hands down best pizza. I love the building and this Pizza Factory has a nice downtown Ione location. We came here for a friends birthday party and they have a HUGE arcade upstairs for the party! They even had a bounce house upstairs for the party. So cool! I will be back for sure. This place is awesome. I had my daughter's birthday party here. She absolutely love it. They have a arcade upstairs that you can rent out for birthdays or events that also comes with a bounce house. Everyone there was so helpful and frieny and all the pizza we ordered for the party came out exactly on tip. We will be back it's definetly worth the drive to ione. read more

Stopped her on our way back from a HS baseball game in Galt. Not a lot to chose from and because we were starving decided to stop here, vs. the one in Plymouth. Next time we'll wait. First of all the place is dirty. Sticky everywhere and the windows look like they haven't been washed since the old building was built. Ordered salad bar. Lettuce was blah, they hardly had a selection, (corn kernels, really!?) I like the little baby corn-on-the-cobs. Beets were disgusting, soaked in vinegar taste. The kidney beans were old and slimy. Tasted rotten. I mentioned this to one of the 3 teenagers working there, and she just nodded and said okay. Looked 15 minutes later, and they were still there. On the positive side I didn't get sick. The pizza was decent, but then I was starving and couldn't eat the salad, so........................I'll stick to the Pizza Factory in Pleasant Valley, jus down the street. read more

I'm not exactly positive how to start a somewhat sore review of a place I used to be emphatic with, which has ceased to satisfy me in almost every considerable fashion. I've been eating here for years and started off in love with the employees, the food, and the service in terms of speed, quality, fair prices and freshness. I used to feel very appreciated as a customer and warmly welcomed to be here. More recently, they have changed the menu (while other locations of the chain have stuck with the same classics), they have an entire set of new employees that don't seen comfortable being in a kitchen, or around my food, and don't make me feel comfortable dealing with them. they're prices have grown to be unreasonable, they're specials seem to be just bait to get you in to get ripped off because they won't give you the option of white sauce without paying 9 dollars extra for it, and they're dishes and tables are unattended to and just plain slovenly. I feel bad writing this about i place i used to love, but unfortunately i won't be coming here anymore, or to anymore of this chain, which is sad because i love small restaurants rather that bigger companies like round table pizza. It's a shame to see the small business model going out the window, along with customer service that matters. read more

Tried to order over the phone, was treated very abruptly and asked to be placed on "hold" which was just setting the phone down and could hear them talking in the background. WAS ON HOLD FOR 40 MINUTES. Drove down to the location expecting a mad house, place was empty and I was STILL ON HOLD. Didn't receive an apology until after I ordered and paid, wasn't offered a discount and was just told "I just got here" by the guy taking my order. No manager was on duty to complain to, if I can actually get through I will be following up with a manager. read more

We had a Groupon and drove there to use it the other day. We walked in & the restaurant was completely empty. There was a faint smell of cigarette smoke in the air and the music was loud. We found our way to the counter & a woman in her late 40s walked over to the counter. Before we could say anything she told us "we can't take any credit cards". Okay!? I told her we had a Groupon and she then informed us 5 times that she could not accept the Groupon no matter what. She said the owner had forbid her to take any Groupons and that they hadn't accepted them in over a year. I explained to her that I just purchased the Groupon last month & that it is still good until 8/3/15. She kept repeating herself while coughing on the counter & on her hands. I think we might have interrupted her smoke break and she seemed very irritated by our arrival. After listening to her repeat herself over and over rather than offer us any other special or solution I finally just said thanks anyways and left. Fortunately I contacted Groupon about this and they refunded me the funds right away. So we didn't try the pizza. And the smell of the restaurant was really a turn off. And the cler at the desk had no customer service skills and just belabored the explanation about how the owner was "supposed to" tell Groupon about this problem. After the 5th time of hearing her say this I said "perhaps the owner forgot to tell Groupon & that is why the special is still available". She had nothing to say to that. The fact that the restaurant was TOTALLY empty was not a good sign either. I know it is a small town & it is summer, but you would think there would be at least a few people eating there. After reading other Yelp reviews I think I know why the place was empty. So save your gas & don't go to Ione for pizza at the Pizza Factory! If I could give no stars I would, but since we didn't eat the pizza I think 1 star is fair. read more

This establishment is poorly run! This is the second time that we have attempted to order a pizza at 7:30 at night on a Saturday only to be told that they are no longer delivering.... They are open until 9:00pm?? The last time we had pizza delivered it took an hour and a half for a 7.3 mile delivery. They had told me it would be here in 45 minutes. They didn't offer us an apology or anything for our inconvenience. We will not be eating their sub standard pizza again. This is very disappointing for a National chain. read more

I tried Pizza Factory for the first time today since we moved into town. I did go at a very slow time during the day so it was hard to judge the action. This review will seem a bit generic - sorry. The restaurant was a little old looking, but perfect to bring kids. You won't have to worry about making a mess. They had about 8 games for kids... I think where you win tickets and trade those in for small prizes. The seating was plenty. My son and I both got the lunch special. $7.99 each which includes pizza, salad, bread stix and a drink, ALL YOU CAN EAT. When we arrived the all you can eat buffet had 4 pieces if pizza on it. 2 combo Amd 2 pepperoni with white sauce. The nice lady behind the counter said shed make a red sauced pepperoni pizza for us right away. It came out fast, within 12 minutes. I was full from just a small salad and 1 slice but my son ate 4 slices. There was terrible music playing. They have several TVs but no volume, which they should have done since it is election high time and it was lunch. People like to get in their news on their lunch break. Unfortunately there was only one other customer in the restaurant besides us. Id be willing to check it out on a Friday night and adjust my review as I see fit. The last 2 times here will be my last 2 times for good, ordered over the phone both times, both times asked for deliver, was told "half an hour." The first time I called repeatedly and was told that "it was getting ready to go out" well, after my pizza was over an hour LATE, i went down there to find that it hadn't even been started yet and they could not issue me a refund because "the manager was not there and they didn't know how" wound up waiting there for another half an hour before I got my pizza... which was wrong.... second trip, same scenario with delivery, called after pizza was half an hour late and was told "the delivery person hadnt returned yet and my pizza was sitting there," I drove down there ONCE AGAIN and low and behold, the fabled delivery person, was on their way out the door with someone else's order. Was issued a refund for the delivery charge and got home to eat my cold pizza. Worst service that I have experienced anywhere... ANYWHERE!! suffice to say, I will not be giving my business to this pizza place ever again. read more

I went there last week to visit family I live in elk grove and I met this mother and daughter crew there ,dee Dee and Miranda mirnard and they made it more than just getting pizza they made it an experience they had amazing customer service skills and were so happy and friendly and eager to help and make sure we were happy ! I dont get service from pizza parlors like the service they gave ill be traveling and eating there everytime couldn't have been a better experience and the pizza was equialy as awsome !! read more

I wish I could give them more stars, because their pizza really is good. My husband and I always order the same type of pizza and we've never eaten there or had it delivered. We always order for pick up. Some of the people who answer the phone are attentive and polite and take our order correctly. Every so often though we get someone on the phone who doesn't seem to care and they get our order wrong. I will say that when we've complained about it management has done a good job to rectify the situation after the fact. Their pizza is really good so we keep going back, but at times the ordering process can be frustrating. read more

I have been here multiple times with great pizza and service. Today was extremely disappointing in both the service and pizza quality. Young man working today not only made the pizza wrong after he was visiting with a friend the whole time he made it, but then offered to warm up the missing items to "throw on top" of our pizza after arguing about what the menu lists should have been on it in the first place. I asked for a manager and I was given instructions to call Tim and tell him what a horrible employee he is and to also mention the poor service. Tim was nice on the phone and called the store immediately but at this point having a new pizza made by the guy working doesn't sound like a good idea with his argumentative behavior. We were given a refund on the pizza and will now have to find somewhere else to eat and give future business. Very disappointing as we try to eat at locally owned businesses. read more

I have tried to give Pizza Factory in Ione the benefit of the doubt many times, however, I am done trying with them. Their pizza is always overcooked and the crust is very thin. Just gross all around. I have never been a huge fan of them, but their food and service is getting worse. No matter what time of day or what day of the week, it takes 45 minutes or longer for pick up and/or delivery. That's only if they have a driver. The last 3 times I have tried to order for delivery, all different times/days, I was told they didn't have a driver, or that the driver didn't come in for a few more hours! Really? The should say "We sometimes deliver." I choose delivery because the place itself is gross. The tables are always dirty, and it's very dark and seedy in there. Not to mention that the people currently working there have awful customer service. They act like your going in or calling is a huge inconvenience to them. I do not recommend this particular pizza place to anyone. It's just awful. read more

I tried to contact the owner about my visit to this restaurant. I've never complained about any restaurant in my life. But I felt the owner should know how badly this place was being managed. Five of us ate here before going to the Preston Castle Haunt. There was one young woman working, doing all the cooking, taking phone orders, stocking the salad bar, taking orders & waiting on tables. Way too much for her to do by herself but she worked hard & had a wonderful attitude. Said she'd been called in at the last minute? Geesh! We ordered wine. Despite the bottles being displayed the manager neglects to order any. Went next door to Clark's Corner for a glass of wine while waiting for our meals. The bathrooms were filthy & not fully stocked even though it was 5:30 & we were the first ones there. All of the floors were dirty & the hood over the salad bar looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Several more people came in after us & the only worker just kept working hard to please all. A young man came in a bit later & he, as well, worked hard & had a great attitude. The food they eventually served was really good. But the manager brought me my meal, with sweat dripping down his face. Didn't help my appetite. He came in for a few minutes & then disappeared for the rest of the evening. I know that because I came back at 9 to use the rest room. He was supposedly at the Preston Castle where I did see a booth with their pizza. But not the manager. In my opinion the young woman & man should be managing the place as well & deserve raises. The manager need to be let go as he's not doing his job at all as far as we could see. read more
