I ordered a pizza to go, with breadsticks and ranch and marinara. I was told it would be .50 cents more for a ranch, which is fine. I was told it would be 20 minutes. I showed up to a disgusting dining area, used the disgusting restroom, paid for my pizza, and I assumed paid for the ranch. The kid didn't wash his hands after handling the debit card and cash register. 40 minutes later I finally got my pizza and breadsticks without the ranch. I asked where it was and she said it would be .50 cents extra. I said I already paid for it, and she got on the computer and said I hadn't. I said I'd been waiting 40 minutes for a 20 minute order can I just get the ranch. She still said it would be .50 cents with an attitude. I asked for ranch and said I was fine paying extra for it. It's not my fault the kid didn't charge me when I paid. And after waiting twice as long as I'd been told it would be, I think I should receive a little customer service and get what I wanted to begin with. So here's a 1 star review for the horrible customer service and disgusting condition of the restaurant. Even if the staff wasn't so horrible, I still wild eat there because it was so dirty. read more

Pizza Factory pizza had been a favorite of mine for many years. We moved here 12 years ago, and found the restaurant in Minden great! Only complaint was that they were often packed! However, over the last several years it has changed hands over and over. Last time I went, the pizza was sorely lacking toppings and the topping were almost 3 inches from the edge on the extra large pizza. There was almost no sauce on it... what a disappointment!! I took it back to the counter and the person I spoke to said she was the owner, and that "the toppings must have slid toward the center when she put it in the oven"!! Come on! Additionally, the crew had started "cleaning" way before closing time... had to smell strong floor cleaner as the girl mopped next to our table. Bathroom trashes were sitting in the hall. Gluten free pizza was available but not on the menu. We went in late and the service was still very good. They serve Venice Bakery gluten free crust. I had pesto sauce and cheese. It was wonderful. For starters...this is not the pizza factory I remember. Mind you, I worked here in high school and also ate there frequently in high school 10 or so years ago. I know its been under new ownership a few times since then, but after my experience tonight, whoever the current owner is-- has a mess on their hands! My family and I came to eat here before a movie. We got there an hour and a half earlier to make sure we'd have plenty of time to eat. There was not a single soul in the place. 3 employees, all young male teenagers it looked like. They didn't even say so much as hi. I've never seen 3 youngsters look so unhappy to be at work. It was dirty. When I was ordering ants were crawling on the counter. I used the bathroom and there was hair and gunk in the sink, as well as trash on the floor. A few dirty tables. Aside from this, I reminded myself, hey, at least the food is good. As I mentioned, no one was there. So I naturally assumed the wait wouldn't be long. After about 15 minutes, a couple came and got a to-go order. About 30 minutes after getting there, I decided to walk by the salad bar to see if I could notice our food anyplace, an order of breadsticks and pizza. Couldn't see. One kid was twiddling his thumbs and the other it appeared to be food prep. 15 more minutes goes by and my husband goes to check or mention it. He said he saw our pizza barely being put on the cooking coveyorbelt! After 45 or more minutes without a single other person there eating they barely just put our food in! Not sure what else they did with their time, but we didn't get our pizza til 15 minutes before the movie started. And they forgot the breadsticks, not sure how that happened. Like I said, we were the ONLY ones there. When I pay $30+ dollars, I expect you not to forget breadsticks. I mean...PIZZA AND BREADSTICKS....what is there to forget?! Every other pizza factory ive eaten at doesn't charge for ranch...even after their massive amount of mistakes and mishaps, I was still told if I wanted ranch, I had to pay extra. We couldn't even eat there, had to box it all up for to-go and watch the movie and eat later. We didn't get an apology for the wait...for the mess up on the order...or anything. Worst customer service in a dirty dingy s*** hole. I will NEVER be back. I am devastated the ranchos one is closed, the owner there was so very friendly and the food was always awesome. Such a shame! If I could give this -10 stars I would. We attended a birthday party where the host spent $140 on pizzas. The delivery driver not only came 45 minutes late, but when the boxes were opened we noticed all of the pizzas had been dropped, they were torn apart, and there was a huge mess everywhere. The driver claimed she took too many "sharp turns". When she was asked by the host to give them a refund she said no just don't tip me and ran out. So they called Pizza Factory who then hung up on him. When they called pizza factory back the woman who answered asked how we would feel meeting our maker talking the way he was. What does God have to do with them having poor customer service. 30 minutes later they showed up with new pizzas. We asked that she not come into the party room as the kiddos were opening gifts, but she kept refusing, caused a huge scene and exuded erratic behavior. To the point that we thought she was on drugs. When we asked her to leave she would not, we opened the door and told her to get the hell out and she yelled stop cursing don't touch me. Luckily we had video cameras in the room we were in. When we tried to call and speak to the owner the employees would not give us any names and would not take our information. This place is under very new management and I love it. I never got to experience the old management but so far I like it. The pizza is great and the staff is nice enough. I am in town on business and this place was recommended by the clerk at the drug store. I have to say, walking in a very nice lady said welcome, sorry for the mess we are renovating, but we are open and have great food. She was so friendly and outgoing (Gina I am assuming). I got the vegatarian pizza, mini, and the antipasti salad. Ok, here is my thoughts. The pizza love, love love the crust, right amount of toppings and good sauce. The salad is huge, all kinds of italian meats and cheeses in it. The Italian dressing very good. The salad was romaine lettuce not cheap iceberg at that. My husband and I happened to be visiting the town of Minden today, and we thought we would try out the Pizza Factory. While the employees were wonderful and very friendly, and while my chicken Caesar salad was fantastic, the pizza however that FINALLY arrived (!), which was barbecue chicken, was the worst Pizza we have ever tried! On top of it, one had to really look hard to find the two very tiny pieces of chicken that was on our pizza, and the pizza itself was hollow! Meaning, the pizza was puffed up with air inside!! It's pretty bad when you can say the only part that was great about this pizza was the barbecue sauce, but then again we did not order a pizza for barbecue sauce. How sad is that?! We too, like the other negative reviews on Yelp, have to also agree that we would not encourage anyone to eat at this Pizza Factory. Once again, I thought the chicken Caesar salad was great, but my husband just reminded me we never found actual chicken in our chicken caesar salad, and it was nothing like the picture on their menu that was depicted! We would have said something sooner to the employees, but we were already waiting so long for our pizza as it was. Plus, the two (yes two!) employees were already trying to keep up with the few walk-in and phone orders that came in. Oh, when we initially asked for the salad bar, we were told it wasn't available. When we asked for their available soups and the daily soup special, we were told those selections were not available too. I have frequented the Minden Pizza Factory with my family for years. I was saddened to have such a rude experience with the owner. The customer service has dropped tremendously and the prices have gone up quite a bit. There is no longer the family experience, only a cold greeting. We purchased the family pack , which has increased in price by $6.00 and we no longer can use the fountain for drinks. Basically they treat an individual as if they don't matter. The salad bar was horrible and the chicken wings were dry. I do not make these types of complaints, but maybe they should realize as you look around why they have an empty restaurant. Unlike the Carson City and Gardnerville Pizza Factory's...They are great! Good luck keeping your business as we will never be back!!! read more

Under new ownership, bummer because the new owner is rude. We used to get pizza twice a week in Cason city then we moved to Douglas county and was totally disappointed we this location. Completely over price compared to other locations and not trained on their own ordering system not to mention they don't believe 6 1/2's equals 3 wholes. We had a first try with Pizza Factory a few nights ago, the delivery was within the 45 minute time slot, the presentation of the pizza was beautiful, it looked like the picture on the front of the to-go menu. We ordered a Hawaiian, add garlic and two antipasto salads. The antipastos were warm, but they were still tasty, nice ingredients on them and the lettuce was still holding up when it arrived. The pizza was very dry as it seemed that there was almost no sauce on it, and i sort of took apart my slices and there was no garlic on any of it, which left the pizza rather tasteless, so We used salad dressing to give it taste. The crust was nicely cooked, it was a good crust and of course the rest of the ingredients were fine. I would also offer that during the cook time, to pop the air pockets, so it lies flat like its supposed to, half of the pizza had huge air bubbles on it. That told me that the cook time was not being watched. The cost for that nights dinner was just short of 39.00 including a 5 buck tip. My family has offered that they would prefer to search other pizza parlors and see whats out there.... BTW: I worked at a wonderful pizza parlor in central CA. when I was teen and early 20s. their requirements were high and they're still very successful today. Keep trying! read more

We rolled in practically unannounced with 100 hungry 4th graders on a field trip. The manager was short on staff for such an audience, so she used some of our students to help make the pizzas. I've been to many 'Pizza Factories' in my life and this location is by far the worst one. My sister and I were in town for her birthday trip which was a disaster. We had pizza our first night in Minden since we knew by the name that it should be reliable pizza but not were we wrong. We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza with white sauce to go and waited until it was done. We got to our hotel room and started eating pizza and it tasted and looked like red sauce so I called the store. They told me to bring the pizza in and that they could make us breadsticks for the inconvenience. When I got to the store the kid that made the pizza touched my pizza and inspected it saying it was their version of white sauce which was only olive oil and garlic. He explained that the oils from the pepperoni and cheese mixed with the olive oil and made it look like red sauce and that it was made correctly. The owner praised him and denied us breadsticks as they made the pizza correctly and didn't owe us anything. Thank God I had the sense to ask what was on special before we ordered so we didn't pay full price for this garbage. read more

Hands down the worst customer service, three times! First offense was ordering on a Friday night, waiting 1.5 hours before calling then having the lady answer rudely then put the phone down for the next five minutes before finally getting to us. Then we're told we'll have to wait another 1.5 hours, we said that's a three hour wait and asked for a refund to which they replied that it's super busy but it will be done. So drive to Carson city to have round table, 2.5 hours later we get a call as we're leaving round table that the pizza delivery guy is at our house. So call back, get a very snotty owner Gina who hangs up on us for calling her a liar and to refund us now. Second offense, mother in law orders pizza from this crap hole because we never told her our experience, she didn't receive it for an entire 2.5 hours. Third offense was my friend who went inside to eat and had horrible customer service, long wait and crappy food. Never again.
