One of the eeriest dining experiences of my life. It took the (probably stoned) 3 employees about 30 minutes to create a ham sandwich and a personal-sized cheese pizza, thus throwing a small wrench into our road trip schedule. The restaurant was an absolute disaster because the high school football team had just finished their lunch, leaving napkins and ranch dressing on the floor, which no one seemed particularly interested in cleaning up. The last review I left here was 4 star with little to no complaints. Well, things have changed recently. My boyfriend and I ordered just like any other Friday. A large pepperoni and a side of q2 buffalo wings (extra crispy). We were so hungry when we got the food that we destroyed the pizza, when it came to the wings, we realized they were barbecue. I was slightly disappointed. We tried them again the next week with the same order. This time the wings were delicious, but the pizza was the worst I've ever had. The crust was severely undercooked, the sauce was flavorless, clumpy, and spread so unevenly that when you bit in, you had a 50/50 chance of even getting sauce. Even though there were no other customers in there we were left waiting 45 min for our food without so much as an apology. BEST PIZZA IN CARSON VALLEY. FYI I have found that not all pizza factory's are the same. The ranchos pizza factory is terrible, but this particular branch is THE BEST. I very rarely eat meat and I hate pepperoni but I have recently found that their pepperoni is actually good. Not too greasy just right. I only order pizza from these guys. I went to the register to get my offer and the girl asked what name my order was under. I looked around the empty restaurant to make some sort of point but then realized they must be very busy with delivery orders so I said we did not give a name. I got my breadsticks. We ordered a large pizza. Half all meat other half special. Let's see how it tastes. Garlic bread came. It was a store bought roll top with sesame seeds which I could have made at home. Then the pizza came. Tasted weird, dough was too thin in center and too thick on edge. Center bottom was greasy and overall had a strange taste. Then the breadsticks came. This review is based on the customer service not the food. My family lives in Minden and my wife and I were out visiting. We went to a movie then decided to get a bite out. My parents said the pizza there was good and when I called they said they were open until 10. When we pulled up at 9:15, the sign was off and all the chairs were on the tables. Picked up our grandson after a half-day of school, so we went for pizza. We usually go to the Pizza Factory in Dayton so we knew the food would be OK. It appears that Gina has recently taken over management of the restaurant, and along with Austin took good care of us and made us feel welcome. Austin took the phone call when my wife called in our order after we picked up the child, and he handled it professionally (despite my wife and I being cell-phone illiterates and not used to ordering food over the phone). I was surprised to learn that he is a relatively new trainee, he certainly knew what he was doing and how to do it. What is there to say about a child-friendly cheese pizza? It was well-prepared in a reasonable amount of time. The crust was cooked just right, not a hard cracker nor a limp lump of dough. The pizza had a little of an italian character to it, there was not so much topping that we couldn't easily lift a slice with our hand and the topping didn't want to slide off when we lifted a slice I learned that there is a difference between the Pizza Factory restaurants. I believe this one was less expensive than the one we usually go to, and the sauce/cheese combination had a slightly different flavor. Perhaps a difference in spices, I didn't think to ask. All in all, It is a good value - a good meal at a good price. The staff is welcoming and the place is clean. What more do you want for a lunch? read more

Well I can't write an extensive review because I stopped in alone for lunch on a Monday. I ordered the lunch special #1 which consisted of a salad and a mini pizza and a fountain drink for $6.99. The price was right. It was a great side salad and the Italian dressing was very tasty. I ordered the two toppings on my pizza of onions and black olives which allowed me to enjoy the delicious freshly made crust, sauce and mozzarella. It was wonderful! Good pizza. Located in a strip mall next to an older movie theater, the place has arcade machines minimal decor. This is not a bad thing, just an observation. Some places look like they are trying hard to impress, which is fine too if they don't let you down with mediocre or worse food and service. I've never been disappointed with the food or the service here, but I've never been blown away either but then again we are talking about pizza so too much of a good thing could be overkill. It kind of reminds me of places I used to go to as a kid growing up in the '80s. If you want something more exciting on your pizza, craft beers and live music I'd recommend Base Camp Pizza in Tahoe. If you just want a honestly good simple pizza with no frills, this place does it well. read more

Not only did it take over an hour to get our pizza, but they also lost our credit card info and asked me to sign the back of a piece of paper and put my card number and expiration date and hand it to the driver. I ended up having to cancel my card... 2.) We ordered a pizza (separate occasion) for pick up. They told us 20 min. Well, I showed up 40 min later and they hadn't even started the pizza! The told me they would get it started right away and deliver it with no delivery fee. Well, almost an hour later they show up with our pizza. And still charged my card a delivery fee... 3.) Just tonight, we decided to give them a THIRD chance; my dog dog doesn't even get a third chance after he's done something wrong. It have been an hour and a half before I called them to ask where our pizza was. Using their brilliant customer service skills they proceeded to tell me, "ummm... I ordered a pizza to go, with breadsticks and ranch and marinara. I was told it would be .50 cents more for a ranch, which is fine. I was told it would be 20 minutes. I showed up to a disgusting dining area, used the disgusting restroom, paid for my pizza, and I assumed paid for the ranch. The kid didn't wash his hands after handling the debit card and cash register. 40 minutes later I finally got my pizza and breadsticks without the ranch. I asked where it was and she said it would be .50 cents extra. I said I already paid for it, and she got on the computer and said I hadn't. I said I'd been waiting 40 minutes for a 20 minute order can I just get the ranch. She still said it would be .50 cents with an attitude. I asked for ranch and said I was fine paying extra for it. It's not my fault the kid didn't charge me when I paid. And after waiting twice as long as I'd been told it would be, I think I should receive a little customer service and get what I wanted to begin with. So here's a 1 star review for the horrible customer service and disgusting condition of the restaurant. Pizza Factory pizza had been a favorite of mine for many years. We moved here 12 years ago, and found the restaurant in Minden great! Only complaint was that they were often packed! However, over the last several years it has changed hands over and over. Last time I went, the pizza was sorely lacking toppings and the topping were almost 3 inches from the edge on the extra large pizza. There was almost no sauce on it... what a disappointment!! I took it back to the counter and the person I spoke to said she was the owner, and that "the toppings must have slid toward the center when she put it in the oven"!! Come on! Additionally, the crew had started "cleaning" way before closing time... had to smell strong floor cleaner as the girl mopped next to our table. Bathroom trashes were sitting in the hall.
