Pizza Factory came highly recommended from the Shasta Dam Visitors Center Tour Guide, who said it was her favorite place to eat in Shasta Lake. We were impressed with the menu selections, way more than one would expect from a small town pizza parlor. Service is friendly and helpful. We ordered a mini all meat pizza, mini pepperoni pizza with a trip to the salad bar. Pizzas were very good and served nice and hot. Salad bar was well appointed for a small town. Selection of craft beers is very nice and I recommend the California Blonde Ale. A great little local pizza place right off I-5 and worth stopping when in the area. read more

We come to the Shasta area fairly regularly and have passed the Pizza Factory all the time and decided to give it a try. I have to say it was a little frustrating to pay a high amount for a large pizza, a small salad and 2 drinks. It took about 45 minutes for our pizza to come out and we were super excited to eat it looks great, a little over loaded with sausage but we figured that was fine. Then we tried it and realized the sausage was old, my guess even expired hence it was loaded up to try and get rid of it. Then after all that I go to ask for a sauce cup of ranch and was told I had to pay more if I wanted it. On top of that you're asked to tip before you have your experience so you can't reflect your experience in your tip. This was a supper disappointing experience and we don't ever plan to be back. I will say the pizza had real potential to be a good pizza but everything together ruined it. read more

Ordered for takeout for a party this past Labor Day weekend and I'm grateful it was open. The wait time was 25 minutes for 3 pizzas and cheesy bread. The store is spacious and it was blasting AC in 103F heat. Needless to say, we did not mind the wait. We got a combo, meat lovers, and veggie pizza. All of them had a good amount of bread and marinara sauce. Despite having food with some drinks, I can genuinely say the pizzas are quality. The toppings were packed on! My friend got a vanilla milkshake that was a bit icy but still refreshing. I can also attest to the vibe in the store itself. It's clearly a local favorite, with publications and billboards shouting out people in the community. If you're in Redding or nearby Shasta Lake, consider some pizza here. read more

Got attitude from the girl on the phone that will get it shortly. It showed up just short of two hours after ordering it. Then the delivery girl rolled her eyes after she didn't get a tip. Every first Friday of every month I host a Bunco group in the Pizza Factory party room. If anyone plays Bunco feel free to come join us! All is welcome. I order delivery from Pizza Factory a lot and the pizza is perfect. Right amount of toppings... sauce and cheese. Its always hot and exactly how we ordered it and is so good. The salad bar is superb. I first tried a Pizza Factory after officiating a high school playoff football game in Quincy around 2000. I remember thinking this was pretty good pizza for such an unassuming place. After 2010 we bought a house in Dunsmuir and visited the Pizza Factory there a few times. Same result. After moving to Shasta Lake we've been to the Pizza Factory many times, eating in, having it delivered and getting take-out. It's consistently good (I'll take consistently good over sometimes great, sometimes bleh). I've never had a burnt crust or soggy crust, never been left looking for peperoni or other toppings. One thing about the SL Pizza Factory is they are almost always busy. Call ahead if you're taking out. If they say 40 minutes, don't show up in 30. And.... they support local youth sports and programs. If they're a little slow now and again I'll cut them some slack. read more

The food is good. Had a pizza and some wings. Counter staff is friendly and it is clear local folks like this place because it was very crowded when I went in to pick up my online order. BUT. We placed the order online and got a response to pick it up in 25 minutes. I showed up 25 minutes later and waited a few minutes in line to get to the cashier to pick up my order. So now we are at about 30 minutes. Get to the counter and the girl goes over to the pizza area to check the tickets. Then over to the other prep line to check those tickets. Then to a small shelf next to it to go through some more tickets until she found mine and put it next to the others being prepared. So at the time I was supposed to pick up my order I can assume it has not even been started yet. She tells me that "it is going to be 15 or 20 minutes if that is OK". It was not OK. If I wanted to sit in a noisy and crowded pizza parlor we would have gone and ordered it there. I got a little miffed and told her I did not appreciate the additional wait and she said they had gotten busy with a large party. I see they have a back room and indeed there was a large group of people there and I have to assume the place knew this large group was coming on a Saturday night at dinner time? So I plopped down on a bench and tried not to look as pissed off as I was (I am pretty sure I failed at that). I just don't like having my time wasted. If you know it is going to take an hour say so up front and give me the chance to decide if I want to commit my hour to dealing with this nonsense. And maybe offer me a glass of water or something while I wait. Rant over. read more

Traveling back from Bend, Or and this was the only place in town, that based on the Yelp reviews, was even worth taking the exit. We entered the Pizza Factory looking forward to getting out of the heat, the car temp read 104! There was no reprieve, it was just as stifling inside as it was out. After some confusion on the part of the gal behind the counter we ordered two lunch specials-mini pizzas and a drink, mine also had a salad from the salad bar. DH looked at the salad bar and wisely passed. I was given a small plastic togo like bowl and headed over to the salad bar...Oh why must restaurants serve brown lettuce, lettuce that they can clearly tell needs to be discarded. I picked through and choose the least brown that I could find (I paid for that salad!) and topped it with the standard pizza salad bar choices, which looked decent and tasted fine. DH then gloated over his better judgement (Sadly its still 4 hours till we get home!) 20 or so minutes later the mini pizzas arrived, nothing special. The only reason I am giving two stars is the friendliness of the staff. I suspect that the high number of Yelp stars is due to the lack of choices in this little town. If you're on the highway and looking for a place to stop for a bite, don't be fooled by the locals yelp reviews, they don't know any better, keep driving! read more

Was told it would be 25-30 minuets to make the food, so I showed up 30 minuets later to pick it up to find out it wasn't even in the oven yet. That along with other continuous problems when it comes to their specials and it get old quick. We don't make our way out here often (if ever) but needed to kill time before heading back to the bmx track. Good family environment. Kind owners. Pizza was good, first thing we noticed was the generous amount of pepperoni on the large pepp we ordered. Crust looked a little big for my tastes but once we tried it, we were pleasantly surprised. It's perfectly crispy on the outside but rightfully chewy on the inside. Great flavor. I'm only taking one star off because I prefer a more robust sauce and it didn't quite meet that standard. I know that is not for the masses, so I understand. :) If it had more of a kick, it just may be one of my top ranked pizzas. ;) My family loved it. It's a shame because the pizza is pretty damn good. First off, my girlfriend ordered a medium gluten free and when we pick it up they give us two minis not that big of a deal i thought. My girlfriend on the other hand said she got hubbed on chicken and bacon. And she asked for pepperoncinis and they not a single one on site. When we go back in to get our carry out order. They had given my pizza to the delivery driver and had to cook me a new one. I went here instead of somewhere in Redding because we were in a rush. Well it took me a long time for a mediocre pizza. I ordered an all meat, not an all beef on one slice. They need to get their shit together or I won't be back. Last time we ate there we called our pizza in. They told us 20 minutes and we got there in 30. They had JUST put our pizzas in. DONT GO HERE IF YOU ARE IN A RUSH! Slow service and if they mess up they act like its your fault and are unapologetic. 52 dollars after tip on a carry out.. Not nearly worth it. I could have went to old world smokehouse and got my favorite pizza and made it home by the time it took to get pizza factory which is only 2 minutes from my house. Our family had dinner 6/6 at about 8:30, and were really happy with the service and food. We ordered the xl Pizza Factory pizza, twisted sticks, bbq chicken wings, a small salad and sodas all the way around. Everything was really good, but the twisted bread was a bit overcooked, which made them dry and the food got cold fast bc the AC was on and it was too cold for my liking. This place is awesome. The staff are great and welcoming with suggestions and service. The food were delicious, and you can't beat the price. We tried the all meat mini and the cheese mini for the kids and couple of calzone and spaghetti combos for ourselves. The salads were fresh and just what one would want, fresh essentials.
