It is about the full experience, and food plays a huge role in that journey. Each town along the route offers something different, from nostalgic diners that feel frozen in time to unexpectedly refined restaurants that rival bigger cities. Located on Route 66 in downtown Williams, my partner and I decided on lunch at the Pizza Factory. We were greeted by the staff and got a table inside a casual vibe featuring auto racing decor, Baja, Rally, and NASCAR with various TVs showing sports. Their menu offers pizza, calzones, and Italian pastas, as well as a small salad bar. They are known for their hand-tossed pizzas made with dough made in-house and 100% real mozzarella cheese. I decided on the mini 8" pepperoni pizza (4 slices.) The pizza had a crispy bottom, ample toppings, and enough sauce, making it taste good. Nor did the toppings slide off. My partner got the veggie calzone. The food was all made fresh to order, and ingredients were on point! But one needs to realize that this establishment is situated at the heart of a tourist area, so its quality and prices will have to meet that expectation. read more

Pizza Factory has the space and the looks going for it. It's big, clean, and nicely decorated, so walking in, you expect a pretty solid experience. That said, the welcome felt... off. Welcome was skimpy and not very inviting. At times, it seemed like we were being watched more than usual. As an interracial couple with our gay stepdaughter and her girlfriend, it just made things feel a bit uncomfortable, even if that wasn't the intention. Food-wise, it's decent. We ordered an XL half-and-half with All Meat and Factory Special, and yeah... it was huge. Definitely couldn't finish it. The crust reminded me of Pizza Hut, but since the pizza is so big, the bottom and crust came out extra crispy. A little too crunchy for my liking, honestly. Flavor was solid though. No complaints there. Overall, good portions and decent taste, but the service and overall vibe need some work. Not a bad spot for groups. read more

We had a pizza and a salad, the pizza was very good. The salad came from a salad bar so we were able to pick what we wanted on it. Can't mess up much there. The Pizza was delicious. The service was just ok. The employees seemed very stressed. 12:30 on a Wednesday, spring break. So I tried pizza factory again,,, and again it sucked! Ordered a 10 inch thin crust just cheese and black olives and it's sooo soggy!!?? Why? We have been going to this pizza place for over 20 years every time we went to Williams. Never again after today. I do not know if there was an owner change or what. However now, they are rude and completely unprofessional (& only came over to be nice once they saw I was posting this) I ordered a pizza ON their menu and when it came to me wrong I actually had to argue with the manager about it. She decided the menus are new and it was a misprint. Menus are NOT new. We also wanted some appetizer on the menu and were told "they don't actually make that, they have never made it." My son had gone a few months earlier and warned us about it. When my son & DIL went, they rudely told my son they have "never made" the pizza we literally got there every year for years when we went for polar express. This place is a no go people. For the past 20 something years we have gone to the Pizza Factory in Payson, so we know the pizza is delicious. And it was delicious here too. The problem I had was the staff. My son plugged the toilet (6 year old, and my husband was with him, he wasn't alone in the bathroom) and when my husband we to tell one of the ladies, she immediately starting cursing and dropping f bombs, saying stuff like "I can't f-ing believe this!" There was no plunger in the bathroom, my husband would have tried to fix it if there was. It was completely rude and unprofessional how she acted. We won't be back. read more

Arizona 01-2024 Pizza Factory in Williams, Arizona. Tony and I stopped here after checking out the Grand Canyon. The Pizza Factory is located on Historic Route 66 We ordered a Calzone to share. Tony got a couple beers and I got a Tea to drink. The Pizza Factory is located in a old Historic Building on Route 66. The food was pretty good. I would not have to have it again but it was okay. I recommend you trying it yourself and forming your own opinion. The interior was clean with a few televisions. You order at the counter and they bring to you. The staff was a little rude. Place was not busy, it was a Tuesday about 3pm so I don't know what happened before we got there, but I was tempted to cancel my order and go elsewhere, but my hubby was already settled. read more

Best pizza and Italian food anywhere. Unless you like your crust crispy, ask for medium crust which is more like French bread. The lasagna is wonderful. Pitchers of beer! Casual dining. Sports on the TVs. Downtown on Route 66. Don't go to the other pizza joint, Station 66 by mistake. Pizza Factory is great. But don't try to go there after 6:30-7pm unless you've called ahead to verify. They get backed up with To-Go orders and if foot traffic is light, they'll send you away. I would of gave it 5 stars but the staff from the day shift are not welcoming at all. Very suspicious on your every move and I think a little racist. The night crew was totally opposite and extremely friendly and welcoming. Who ever the female cook is in the evening deserves a raise for cooking a perfect pizza. (Maybe native American). When you feel uncomfortable eating with your family its a problem because they are staring at you just waiting for you to leave. Let's start with we drove 3 hours and ended up here. Let's at that we entered to a staff member state no food or drink even bottled water while looking away and passing by. Then let's add that the water brought in was for the 6 month old baby using it for formula. Parking is rough as this is town is very small. When explaining what the water was for we got well that's the policy. Not one person here said hello, welcome in, take a seat. We got no water for the baby and take a menu and see the counter to place your order. To which the two staff members were standing with the menus and just said take one. You will not get good table service or any for that matter. We had an interaction with every staff member that was in the restaurant and the same feeling of take your business elsewhere was the attitude given. So we did. Walk a half block and you'll get a great pizza and Italian food place on the NE corner of W Route 66 and S 2nd St. There are professional ways to address the water and food policy but the attitude was pretty intense. I'd avoid this business until they fix these complaints in the reviews. It looks like there standard attitude. I try to give businesses the benefit of a bad server for some reviews and I'll admit I didn't check the stars or reviews before going here. Lesson learned and we will take our business elsewhere. I was actually surprised people choose to get this pizza togo from what I assume are locals. It's mediocre pizza without the familiarity of a brand. At least Dominos or Pizza Hut tastes familiar....sometimes I wonder why some establishments continue to go with their decades old recipe when it wasn't good in the first place. I realized that I already left a review five years ago. I will say that they did improve their pizza bread. We got the garlic breadsticks. This pretty much was the size of a pizza pan with their dough and garlic butter on it. I was afraid that it wasn't going to be good and maybe there would be a couple of slices. RUDE!!! They obviously and make it VERY apparent they hate tourists who keep them in business. Paid $30+ for a pepperoni pizza then got yelled at for having a water bottle for our baby since she spills every cup we give her. Rude nasty looks from staff then got yelled at for filling up my own cup of water from the self service station and was told it was a "health code violation" when in fact there is no such code!!!! Ill be telling anyone I come into contact with these people are the rudest people I came into contact with while visiting Williams. You should hire people who are respectful to the people who are supporting your business!! I went to the circle K next door and was able to fill my water up for my 2 year old with no issue. As a chain, I love Pizza Factory! Been to locations in Lone Pine and Kernville , CA. The general manager of today approached my whole family very aggressively where EVERYONE in the restaurant even noticed, very embarrassing. She barked at my daughter to put the water away one minute into being in the restaurant even though this water was for making a bottle for a 6mo old not giving us the chance to explain before she ran off somewhere. She came back then barked at my daughter in law who also just walked in with the children's waters. We have three other children under the age of 5 who we are not comfortable with drinking tap water therefore quite a stupid rule for a restaurant in Arizona. read more
