The Mista salad was a delightful blend of fresh mixed greens, carrots, cucumber, tomatoes, E.V.O.O and balsamic dressing. Portion size was not too big and not too small. Perfect choice before my main course of baked ziti. The baked ziti...what can I say? It was hands down THE BEST BAKED ZITI I have ever had. The perfect blend of sauce, cheese and those delicious mini meatballs. It was a lot of food so I ended up taking more than half of it in a take-out box. Delicious! We ordered the Bruchetta Clasica and the Mista salad. Everything was so fresh. Our main course was a 13 inch pizza to share. The crust was excellent. Our waitress said the dough was flown in from Italy. We only had room for half and plan to eat the rest at home. Giselle was our waitress and was so friendly and helpful. **Lactose Free Review** Preface: I have lactose intolerance and IBS. I try to stay away from lactose but when I am unsure or know I will be digesting it I use a lactase pill. It helps. I write my reviews to help others but each should use their own judgement on their own conditions. This place offers vegan cheese. I ordered the pepperoni pizza with the vegan cheese. It was fantastic. I really enjoyed the flavor of the cheese, sauce, bread and pepperoni. Even though everything looked to be dairy free I still took a pill just in case. I felt fine and was very satisfied. The place is really cute and the place was slammed at 7:30 at night on a Tuesday (what?!). I guess it is spring break time (Mar 2022) and people are out and about. I highly recommend this place. The only down side is that it is a bit pricey for pizza. $16 dollars for a pepperoni pizza, $15 for the salad, $18 for basil only pizza. We loved the meatballs and burrata appetizers!! The pizza was ok, but next time we go we will try their pasta. The servers were outstanding and the main host and server seemed Italian and talked to us in a few Italian words like "gratzi!" - making us feel like we were in a real Italian restaurant!! Pizza was okay, the salad by itself did taste fresh and high quality, though the vinaigrette was overly oily and sort of bland. The Meatballs had sort of a strange texture but tasted fine, I loved the addition of the little toasts/crostini, though the watery and tasteless marinara was not an enjoyable dip. Then there's the pizza, while pretty, and definitely not overly oily or greasy, it was quite bland, and only tasted slightly cheesy, the crust was very nice, thin, and soft, so that was my favourite part. read more

Looked forward to their pizza after reading the reviews. Told we had to wait for a table to be cleaned off. The front desk guy had his back to us taking a phone order. After about 10 minutes of waiting, an extremely hyper waiter walked past us and took the people who had just walked in to the only (newly) available table. Went to the Sullivan St craft festival. My grandsons wanted pizza so I picked Pizza Gorda, because it was walking distance.They did not disappoint. It's situated in a cute older home. Very quaint and the service was excellent. When my grandson told our waitress, it was the best pizza he's ever had, they were nice enough to take the 2 of them back to the kitchen and show them the brick oven. Came here from Ca to visit family have not had much luck finding good food . This was a relief sauce and cheese great flavor and fresh .The toppings on the Supreme were good too. Both pizzas were done in 4 min which is great no need to order in advance. Everyone in the restaurant very friendly just might have had them do the pizza for another minute or two to get the bottom crispy. All in all I was impressed good food and vibes.. think this was probably the best pizza you will find near my dad's house in Port charlotte.
