This is my first Yelp review, and I am leaving it because the PEOPLE at this place changed my day/night for the better! I do not know if they own the restaurant, manage it, or just work there, and, regardless of which one they are, their service is top tier. The first time I ordered here I ordered because of the location. The second time I ordered was because the pizza that my Wife and I got the first time was delicious and hot. We've ordered several times since. What you can expect when you go here for takeout is cleanliness (someone is ALWAYS cleaning when we go to pick up), hardworking (no one is ever just standing around there), and extremely courteous people (especially the young man who was there today working the register/making pizza/toasting wings/etc). They will also show you your order - I really enjoy seeing my garlic bread and pizza shown to me before I head home to tear into it - and are extremely flexible on reasonable and fair substitutions. This was our first time ordering from Pizza Guys. We get coupons for them very frequently in the mail and I decided we should give them a shot. The prices were pretty reasonable--large cheese is $17.49 and about 10 cheesey garlic bread are $5.99. We had a coupon when if we got a 3 topping large pizza and the regular size cheesey bread that we'd get a 2 liter soda for $23.99. We went for it. It was ready within 20-25 minutes which was a good estimation of the time because when we arrived it was ready. The entrance of the place is weird after you park, because you have to go around the front of the building when it faces the street. There's a Chinese restaurant in the back which more naturally faces the parking lot, and obviously that's not it. My husband got out to pick everything up, and I stayed in the car. The parking lot is dark and there were some people hanging out there--it probably feels a lot more safe in the day time. Anyway, there was a sign on the door that said if you order a pizza for pickup you'd get a 2 liter for free no matter what (see photo). Next time we'll do this in case the coupon we used no longer works or exists. Anyway, the pizza was tasty. The tomato sauce was very good. The dough was nothing to write home about, so I mostly gave my dogs the crusts :) the cheesey bread was good. I got the garlic sauce to dip in and this was tasty. The large as a whole was a little small in our experience of pizzas. It was about the same size as a Little Caesars large pizza, but Little Caesars only charge $5. If we go back we'd most likely order something bigger. All in all though, I thought it was a good dinner and experience overall. I would be totally fine with us ordering from them again! read more

This my second time here. Once during the day and this time for a late late second dinner . Both times the service is always great the staff is friendly and take pride in their work. I ordered a garlic lover veggie pizza and the muncheez appetizer. The munchies appetizer is to die for. I remember pizza hut use to have something similar but discontinued it. After years Im finally tasting the same cheesy potatoey jalepeno goodness. I only had three left by the time I got home . Then I started stuffing my face with the pizza, I realized half way that it was a marinara veggie pizza not garlic lovers with white sauce. But at that point I was so deep in food comma that it didnt matter I ate everything! Good pizza as usual. Like that they give free soda if you spend $25+. On time for pick up. However Two stars for their points system; used to be better but now all chains more than doubled the points required to earn a free pizza. Thought I'd give this place a try since they came up via search for "Best delivery Pizza, Hayward - which lead me to a top ten list. Online order went smoothly and easy to navigate, etc. Once food arrived I was handed each box one by one with driver not coming to my door, delivered through Doordash so not really restaurant's fault. I discovered pretty quickly that a cheesecake was missing and quickly received refund via DD to that was cool. The Strawberry Cheesecake I did receive was still frozen and rock hard, lol. Upon open each container my opinion and hunger dramatically changed - Pizza slice was the driest pizza I've ever seen and had to cut about half off in order to eat which was the worst I've ever had. Pasta look like it needed some more oven time as cheese/veggies were cold to the touch so I through those in the oven to reheat. Accompanied by "Bread-sticks" which totally reminded me of the bread peasants used to eat around Robin Hood days. No napkins, Parmesan cheese...nothing. First time coming to this establishment. Upon entering, I was greeted by, I am assuming, is the owner. He was very friendly, had a big smile and was quite chatty. I ordered a medium cheese pizza, I called it in and picked it up in about 25 minutes. I got it home and it was still very hot & quite delicious! The cheese was melted perfectly and the red sauce is mild in flavor & tastes very fresh. I ordered the original crust, which was a good thickness and has a very nice chew to it. They told me to come pick up a new one. I said no come back get the messed up one and just give me my cash back. They said oh your paying for the delivery charge then. I said no never mind. Meh...typical chain pizza. I mean it's OK if you are throwing a kids party or just need a lot of pizza for a crowd, but if you want a good,high quality pizza this isn't the place. The crust tastes highly processed. The toppings were pretty fresh I guess. So that's good. I ordered two small pizzas for delivery last night for my family. It was my first time trying this location so I was skeptical, but it had a 4-star rating so I have it a whirl. They use Eat24 as their delivery server. I ordered my pizza at 5:53 pm and it gave an estimated time of 6:53 for delivery. That was late, but we were willing to wait. I kept checking the application to see where my order was and it continued to show that it was cooking and was on time for delivery. Well, 6:53 came and went so I called the restaurant at 7:05 and they said it would be 5-10 more minutes. I was a little irritated but still willing to wait. Then 7:30 rolled around and nothing had shown up....and no notice from the restaurant. Then, at 7:35, I got a pop up message asking if I enjoyed my pizza delivery service and I sent a message back saying that I had not received it yet. I finally called the restaurant back again at 7:45 and they had no idea where the pizza was or why it had not shown up. Then, the lady asked if I wanted something else on top of what I already ordered to make up for the fact that they were so late. I would have thought they would have offered the pizza to be free at this point. I did not want MORE late food. I ended up asking her to just give me $5 back, but I was appalled that they didn't comp the entire meal. My pizzas finally showed up at 8:10 pm....ICE COLD!!!! I got the sausage marinara pasta along with a mediterranean salad. Both were very tasty. I would definitely return for more! I had ordered my meal off yelp and it was ready to go earliee than its predicted pickup time. They even gave me a free bottle of soda! These guys are awesome!
