The product that comes from this place does not even resemble true pizza and the price for what I got ( medium plain cheese pizza and 2 20 oz Pepsi came to somewhere around $24 bucks) I only came here because it was open late and I was desperate to pick up my brother and his girl dinner after a long flight with no food. Hands down, this business has top-notch customer service. Whether it's over the phone or in person, they go the extra mile to be sincerely friendly and professional. At times, it's not easy to be a friendly business in their location. I've witnessed some mean, nasty, and crazy customers in there. But still, they hang tough and remain professional and friendly. Took a chance and here is what I found out- Customer Service: I called for a pick up and spoke Sundeep. It was my first time and ordering was easy. I have a few questions, he was helpful and made sure that my questions were answered. Pizza: Since it was my first try I thought I'd make my order easy and go with a good ole pep/saug/mush/olive pizza. It somewhat reminded me of RoundTable in its thickness and toppings. Bonus: I didnt expect but it was awesome, my order came with the choice of a free soda or ice cream. I went for the ice cream of course. It was practically an empty crust with shitty cheap black olives and onion slivers ...every few slices there was a wilted green pepper. So happy we paid $27 for that.....not. The driver gave us attitude along with the lady we called into complain to. She said it didn't take "that" long to deliver. Pizza Guys delivers pizza that isn't terrible but isn't good either. Overall, I was confused by the great reviews of this delivery chain. I recently got a coupon in the mail for these guys and looked up reviews on yelp (of course). I had picked up some pizza with a friend but never ordered myself until recently. They had pretty above average reviews for Hayward so I thought, "What the hell." Ordering online was pretty simple; they accept coupon codes too so you can find them easily enough. We ordered a large pepperoni (14") with the Tuscany crust option ($17.98). That's basically their thin crust. Let's see, where to start. The crust--this was tough and cardboard-like. I'd put this below frozen pizza. The pepperoni was ample and fatty, no real complaints there. What struck me as odd-tasting, was the cheese. It had this odd consistency and turned a hazy milky color after refrigeration. I actually looked up the cheese on the Pizza Guys FAQ. They say, "Our mozzarella cheese is made using microbial rennet (non-animal sourced)." I'm no cheese expert but some research suggested that this type of cheese's rennet is made from mold. Turns out, the animal rennet is tastier but more expensive. Not sure the exact implications of this on pizza; to be honest, I just learned about this after looking up this odd tasting cheese. If any cheese experts are out there, chime in. The one positive of the order was the "Cheezee Garlic Bread" ($5.99) with the Creamy Garlic Dip. Compared to other delivery options in the area, this would be my last, or second last, choice. Oh, and the delivery charge was $3.95 not including a tip and tax. read more

Pizza Guys is easily found in Hayward on Mission Road close to Cal State East Bay and just before Downtown Hayward Area. There is a private parking lot which is shared with another restaurant. I ordered a Large half Pineapple Ham and Pepperoni Mushroom pizza. The cheese had a good consistency which they did not overload or by skimpy with. Their pizza sauce taste pretty well. The pizza sauce was very well distributed throughout the pizza. The toppings on the pizza were fresh and good quality. The pizza held together pretty well such as the cheese and toppings didn't slide off and the pizza didn't shift during the ride home. The pizza was not overly greasy/oily. I was surprised how big their large size pizza was because it seemed on the smaller side compared to other pizza shops I been to. Despite the size the pizza was average. Nothing separates it from other pizza shops. If you are looking for pizza there's plenty of other options in the area. I came back to use vouchers for 3 free items given to me during the grand opening. There's clearly no expiration date nor minimum purchase (Refer to Pictures). Since I was in the area I came by to use them and the didn't have one of the items on the menu anymore. For the remaining two items they were hassling me asking how I got them and trying to not honor them since they were over 2 years old from the grand opening event. They were pretty prideful and customer service seemed to be the last priority over their ego. Went here for Monday lunch because I pass by it every week and the signage already made it look more appetizing than the Hungry Howies that I swear used to be there before the dawn of Hayward. My coworkers and I ordered online which was really convenient and allows you to pay there. One thing to check for however is to make sure you set the right location or else your food is in San Leandro which isn't too much farther away. My coworkers mistakenly set the wrong location but the two guys working here were understanding and re-did the order in about ten minutes. After working for a pizza place a while back, I appreciate good tomato sauce that isn't sour or overpowers the toppings and this place has the "good good" when it comes to that stuff! This place doesn't offer a "slice" option which saddens me and it has two really small tables inside with not too much room for more than two people. I feel it is a must when you come here. The inside space was nice & clean, although a little small. There is a very small amount of indoor seating, but it's okay.. I'd just order for pick up or delivery in the future. The parking lot is easy to miss, but when you are in there, there is a decent amount. Although they share the center with a Filipino restaurant that was closed for the day, I'm not sure how it would be on the six days that place is open. Overall, would I come here again. YES! First time ordering from here. Got the build your own pizza with 5 toppings. Pizza came out good! Thin crust with their white garlic sauce, green pepper, green onion, pepperoni, chicken and red onion. I loved the crust and tasted even better as leftovers the following day, just gotta throw it in the oven or stovetop. Also ordered a dozen wings with buffalo sauce. I wasn't a fan of the wings. I ordered an extra large cheese pizza , the most basic pizza you can ever imagine, and it was nothing like a pizza from NY where i grew up. The cheese was basically a brown colored burnt cheese crust instead of an elastic mozzerala that's soft and stretches with every bite. And to add insult to injury I ordered 2 salads and they were delivered without any dressing. Absolutely disappointed all around. My calzone was severely over-cooked I realized it from the smell it reeked when I opened the box. When I went to cut into it I couldn't. It didn't have a bread consistency, it was more like rubber. The Nutella bites were also burnt but not entirely un-eatable. One of the best pizza in Hayward is here. Last night I ordered a thin crust large pizza, half spinach chicken garlic and the other half l extra red sauce with light on cheese. My 5 year old daughter likes to have her cheese pizza from here, she likes the red sauce and sometimes she takes the cheese off the pizza.
