We've been a Pizza Guys fan for awhile and when I saw a bunch of bad reviews, we placed an order today of a pizza and their awesome lemon pepper wings. Both did not disappoint. I think any place, esp. pizza can have good our bad days but we had a hot pizza, perfectly cooked with great wings and the delivery was right on time. This was the worst pizza I've ever had. The bottom right half of the outside of the box was dripping with grease. Opened the box and the whole right side is full of grease, with the pizza sitting in it. The crust was of course not crisp. The pizza tasted of grease. The pepperoni was soggy because they just layered it so the stuff on the bottom didn't cook. I ordered cheddar cheese on it and was charged extra, and there was NO cheddar. The cheese they did use is preshredded crap that didn't melt properly. It didn't taste or have the texture of nice stringy mozarella, and there was hardly any on the pizza. It was the weirdest texture...and greasy! The crust was doughy and undercooked in the middle. Gross!! What a huge waste of money, I mean HUGE!! so disappointed and ripped off! I went when I wanted pizza and I found this place. I was very happy with my purchase. I got a medium pepperoni pizza and lemon pepper wings. There was a lot of sauce on the wings but that's not a bad thing. I was going to buy a sofa from the gas station next door but then they told me I had a deal since I spend more than 25$ I get a free ice cream or a free two liter. I obviously got the soda. I have ordered through yelp from the Pizza Guys three times now, since moving in to Livermore. They've done a great job with my orders and delivery, although once they put artichokes instead of anchovies on the pizza. Always tastes great, I've tried both the regular and Tuscan thin crust. The ranch dip is good, the BBQ flavoured one is has some kick and is strong on the vinegar. Next order we'll try the extra hot sauce, or whatever it's called. read more

This location has delivered pizza to my house for 4 years. Last week when I called an order for delivery. They associate on the phone said they couldn't deliver because 1) it was too far for the driver that night 2) they no longer deliver to that area anymore. The manager couldn't explain to me why they no longer deliver to my house after so many years. Usually the best place and the only place I go to for pizza. I kept getting emails advertising their taco pizza so took a chance and strayed from my normal favorite combo. Pizza and boneless wings arrived and was seriously disappointed. Toppings were missing from the pizza and the pizza and wings were barely warm even though I live very close. Seriously disappointed !! Here's the upside to Pizza Guys; they have good coupons. That's it. If you want cheaply made and not passionately-made pizza, this is your place. I ordered a few times only because of the coupons and every time the pizza was soggy in the middle and the toppings were the cheap variety... I've run a pizza shop before, I'm a bit of a picky eater when it comes to pizza... but even for a coupon pizza, this is garbage. Today, when I called in, they told me "we can only accept cash from this address." They explained that they thought I ordered a pizza to my house and didn't pay for it (how?)... which is just untrue... After some arguing about them not accepting my cash, I hung up. Within 2 minutes, the store called me back and the guy mumbled something about it being my "neighbor's address" that had the restriction and that he could take my order now... I promptly refused due to utter incompetence and will not be returning to this or any Pizza Guys in the future. If a business lets it's standards of service go that low, it's a surefire sign that other things in the business are approached with the same lack of passion. The first 2 pizzas were fantastic - no complaints however, the 3rd and most recent pizza arrived quickly (less than 20 minutes) but lukewarm and small! It was not the large size as before and there was no flavor (very sparse cheese). I'm wondering if it was a leftover from another order. It did not seem like a freshly made pizza pie and definitely not worth the 20$ price tag. I really only kept it because the kids and I were hungry and I had no other options on a school night. I ordered my meal online. Great experience. Then I walked in to pick up my food. Wow. I felt like I was walking into a sweatshop. No ambiance whatsoever. Dim lighting, and a wall separating the front from the kitchen. Whenever I order pizza and see that wall, it's a red flag to me because they obviously don't want you to see something. No one working there was talking, laughing, or showing any sign of having fun. You all work at a pizza place, cheer up! Anyway, about the food. So,so. I ordered an XL with half mushrooms (gross btw... pretty sure they are canned), pepperoni (ok). The other half was much better--chicken, bacon, and green onions. I also ordered hot wings which weren't horrible, and the muncheez.. which were pretty bad. I like the concept and flavor but they were soggy and not crispy at all. I love Pizza Guys. I wrote this review becaue I noticed several other reviews mentioned their pizza is often not hot to the customer's standards upon delivery despite the close proximity to the restaurant. Most delivery drivers do not deliver one pie at a time. They sometimes deliver up to 5 depending on store policy, and this often accounts for lag time from when your pizza leaves the store and arrives at your house. Other wise, I love the variety and afordability of Pizza Guys. The customer service is great, and my pie, though not always oven hot, is rarely incorrect. ( A huge problem I have with rival Pizza Hut!) Kepp up the good work!!!! read more

This is what I ordered: copied and pasted from the online confirmation email, and was on the receipt the delivery guy gave me. 1 Large Big Luau (Big Luau, Thick Crust - Add $1.00, Regular Cut, Hold the Fresh Tomatoes, Regular Specialty Sauce) The "large" was about the size of a "medium pizza hut pizza". It was a thin crust, (If that was what they call thick, their thin must be a tortilla). They didn't hold the tomatoes; it was covered with them. The pizza was just OK even if I had ordered a thin crust with tomatoes. And the driver was at least 30 minutes late from their own delivery estimate. They don't seem to pay attention to the customers order, they aren't too concerned with getting you the pizza hot and on time, and they are pretty pricey unless you can get your pizza with a coupon. I see no reason to use them again, Pizza Hut is better. read more

I unfortunately made a bad mistake Saturday, ordering a early day pizza from this place! I went to pick it up and once you walk in your can see all the way through the front desk to the back door and in between. And older middle-eastern man was standing in the kitchen next to the young boys working on orders, ALL HAD NO MASKS AND ALL WITHIN ONLY INCHES OF EACH OTHER making pizza, the older man sneezed back to back and ZERO ATTEMPT, ZERO ATTEMPT MIND YOU to cover his mouth, nothing, didn't even phase him. Are you fuggin kidding me??? have you watched the news? do you know the mandate? As I was reluctantly debating on whether or not to take my take out order, the old man sneezed AGAIN!! and AGAIN no efforts to cover his mouth, no mask. So I say to the kid cashier, "ahh THAT is not ok and not cool with him sneezing 3 times within only minutes of me being here!!" so the kid looks back at the guy and says, "are you ok?" and the old man looked at him like the kids was nuts! As the kid was taking my money, there was a rip on the wrist area of his grimy used gloves. So I paid nearly $40 for pizza, told the family the story when I got home, they freaked out and in the trash the pizza goes along with my $40. I made a formal complaint and the owner responded saying that they all wear gloves.... Ok, they do but if they are sneezing, picking boogers, taking money, change the freakin gloves! no evident of that! and she was so very sorry for the horrible experience I went through. Empty words and it was more than upsetting, it was criminal! Do NOT go to this place if you value your life and the life of your family. Never again, now or in the future. read more
