The winners were the birria inspired tacos, loaded Filipino fries, Cajun shrimp skewer, ube cheesecake, and baked goods/desserts. Unfortunately the others had areas of improvement and left us wanting more. We had high hopes for more spicy & flavorful Jamaican food, richer Dubai chocolate strawberries, and actual calamansi the drink we ordered. Unfortunately I don't recall all of the businesses we tried from, you'll have to reference the pictures. Environment/Vibes: 4 out of 5 Cool vibes, picnic tables for seating, and a strategically placed porta potties and handwashing stations. The organizers did a great with how the venue was set up! Overall: 3.5 out of 5 I enjoyed this themed night market! Clearly I'm biased and prefer flavorful over Instagramable items. So far I prefer this food event over Foodie Land due to the mostly AAPI focused food vendors and shopping booths. Not going to lie the prices will be inflated since the vendors have to pay "rent" for the space they take up. Strategically go with at least 4-5 people so you can try different things. I thought a lot of the vendors did a great job with fusion inspired items.

It usually happens about 2 - 3 weekends a year, so check out their website or follow them on social media to stay tuned for their dates. Parking is in their lot (paid parking), unless you could find nearby parking (no parking in the neighboring plazas - they may strictly enforce it, so better be safe than sorry). Coming early is recommended, so you do not have to wait in the long line of cars to get in the parking lot to park and to get through security at the entrance. There are a good amount of food and merchandise vendors with some from SoCal as well! Some are local restaurants that have some off of menu items / special exclusive items for this event only.

I can't believe no one has written about this little food stand!…read more My fiance and I paid a visit to the vet this Saturday and were heading to Costco. We saw that a small Farmer's Market was going on in the Bishop Ranch complex #3 (adjacent to GE Software's lot). Since we needed vegetables that Costco probably wouldn't have (or have in the mega Duggar family pack), we decided to make a quick detour into this small farmer's market. Man, are we glad we did. I mean this FM is much, much smaller than the one we went to in Pleasanton. But at the end of the rows of vegetable and other stalls was this delicious aroma of grilled food. Since we hadn't eaten lunch and Costco food was NOT a healthy option, we decided to take a peek at Gorgeous Gorilla. While I don't want to make a definitive statement about the ethnic origin of the food, my guess is either Jamaican or (generically) Caribbean. They had Jerk chicken, Oxtail, shrimp, and grilled salmon. Also they serve their plate meals with red beans and rice. Oh snap, I love red beans and rice! And best of all: fried plantains. They also serve it with a small side of a fruit salad which is heavy on the mangos. Nice. We also ordered a positively awesome strawberry fruit drink which we know used fresh strawberries from a vendor down the row of veggie stands. We saw him deliver two boxes of strawberries while we ate lunch. We shared a jerk chicken plate and that was enough for us because we didn't want to fill up too much before shopping. The flavors were AMAZING on every part of the meal, esp the chicken. while I've had much spicier jerk chicken in the past, this one was one I'd consider a very mild jerk flavor. Maybe if I ask for what the locals would eat would they turn it up a notch. They let me know that they are there every Thursday in the same lot, so I'm going to make another trip next week as this Thursday I won't be in the area. But for now, here's some pics to whet your appetite!

We had it Sunday at the farmers market and again Thursday at the farmers market; it was that good! It's simple, not overdone. Which is perfect. Fresh ahi, sesame, avocado, onion, sauce. Over rice, or your choice of base. It's a little pricey but it is 100% worth it. When comparing to other poke places around, it's a little higher but the quality smacks those in the face, so it makes sense. The fish is so fresh tasting, melts in your mouth. Highly, highly recommend. So nice to have a nice light, refreshing food truck option in lieu of all the fried stuff. Plus, the guy who runs the truck is so friendly. So nice. Reminds me so much of being in Hawaii and getting that ohana treatment. The truck looks clean and well taken care of which makes me feel good about the cleanliness standards he holds. You won't be disappointed; check it out!

You also have to pay more just to get rice with your fish (if ordering a "poke boat") which feels like a rip off in my opinion. Ahi tuna ($14 for 1/2 lb) itself is solid and good quality for what it is in this area. The sauce is described as a sesame soy sauce with spicy mayo. It's on the sweeter with some savoriness, light on the sesame, and not so much salty. I do like the flavors, but the poke isn't marinated long enough for them to seep through the whole fish chunks. Has a very slight kick from the chili flakes.

They can sometimes get busy especially after 11am, but they'll usually let you know if there is a longer than average wait. I usually opt for the double chicken island special which comes with three pieces of chicken and a side tomato & cucumber salad (tangy and fresh). The chicken is never raw and has a great smoky taste to it. There's not really a sauce but it is marinaded and grilled well.

We've tried this BBQ stand at least three times over the last few years. Every time, we get lured in by the incredible smoky aroma at the local farmers markets, forget that the food isn't good, and try it again. Tonight at the Dublin Farmers Market was our final reality check. We ordered the chicken and ribs combo, and the meat was incredibly dry, heavily charred, and so tough it felt like eating jerky. To make matters worse, they served the side of cucumber salad in a lidless plastic container wrapped only in thin foil--which predictably spilled everywhere. Save your money and bypass the enticing smell. I am officially writing this to remind myself (and everyone else) to keep walking!

During the day they have a limited number of slices and list the available quantities on a whiteboard. The space is also fun and retro like, with plenty of seating. The pizza is amazing, definitely some of the best in the Bay Area and I would rank it top 3 for slices. Great crisp, nice undercarriage, no flop, when you bite in you get a nice chew which is what you want. Tomato sauce and flavors are also great. Overall one of the best pizzas in the greater Bay Area.
