Love the cheesesteaks here! Whenever I'm in the area I make sure to pick some up for dinner. I always order the king classic Philly with everything and my man orders Motown Philly with everything. Motown is a classic Philly with mushrooms. The curly fries are really good here. Perfectly seasoned and always come hot .

Peppers given in 2 small sauce containers for a King of Philly.

I guess they're cutting costs by giving less. I've been a fan of cheesesteak shop for a long time. They usually have quality sandwiches. However, I've ordered a few times (to go) recently and the amount of peppers they give you is criminal. Used to be plentiful, but now, they give you a couple of small sauce containers with the peppers packed in. I wouldn't mind if they gave more, but only 2 sauce containers for a King of Philly?! That ratio doesn't make sense. I feel disrespected...

Took longer than 15 minutes for a 6in half sandwich. I asked for garlic fries and got regular. Kid behind the counter is deaf, his hair is messy not a good look when working around peoples food. Was on his phone and didnt wash hands. Will not return.

If you're looking for a solid meal, The Cheese Steak Shop is definitely the place to hit up. I have never had a bad experience here, and that consistency is why I keep coming back. Let's be real--there aren't many good cheesesteak places around, but this one really does the job. It's a cute, casual spot with a great atmosphere and so much to choose from on the menu. Whether you're feeling a classic Philly or something a bit different, the food is always reliable and hits the spot when you're craving a good sandwich. It's a great local gem that never misses!

Been craving cheesesteaks for a while now. Got recommended this spot by my brother. The cheese steak was really good. The bread was toasted well. The steak and cheese combo was really good. The chopped peppers were spectacular, really went well and put everything together. The cashier or front person was really friendly and out going, he asked how my day ass and always had a smile during our quick interaction. The ambiance was alright. I didn't not get a look good inside the restaurant because I had called a head before ordering. It is a small and mighty place in the North Livermore area. Overall I give this restaurant a 4/5 star review. This has to be the better cheese steaks I have tried thus far.

This is as close as you can get to a classic cheesesteak outside of Philly. If I'm undecided on what to get during lunch, I'll usually end up here. Today, I was on my way to get a chicken sandwich and couldn't decide between Chick-fil-A or Popeyes and somehow my car ended up here. I've tried both Pat's and Gino's yet I have a preference for the Cheese Steak Shop and luckily we have a few in the Bay Area. Usually the Hubbs and I will share a large cheesesteak and a large steak fries with extra sweet peppers. If it's just me, I'll have mushrooms added. My small attempt at being healthier!

My husband use to eat here all the time as he was out in the field and when he went this direction, he grabbed a sandwich. We were on our way home and got off the freeway to have a meal. My first time... Lots of parking and the dining room wasn't too busy when we showed up. It got busy after we started eating though. My husband got the original KING and I got the Western large. I am not a pepper/onion fan, so it was just meat, bbq sauce, 2 onion rings and cheese. The meat was tender, great flavor and perfect amount of sauce. I was able to pull the onion out of the middle of the o-rings so that was great. We both had fries with our meal. The portion size was huge for a large sandwich, I wrapped up the 2nd half and brought it home. The dining room and restroom were clean. Fun upbeat music playing. The best part of the visit was the gentleman behind the counter that helped us. What a spoonful of sugar this guy was. Excellent service, pleasant and overall great person. He then brought us our lunch and was sure to send us off with a hearty goodbye. Overall great experience!

They even offer deviled eggs that I hear are pretty spectacular. We ordered the Thai chicken salad and fish tacos. The salad looked quite good and my friend enjoyed it very much. The tacos are on petite, single shells with a piece of fish, avocado and cabbage slaw on each. I happily ate every bite. A side salad would have enhanced this dish. I wish I had ordered an appetizer, like the deviled eggs or brussels sprouts, as it would have rounded out my lunch well and it would have been more filling. I noticed a steady flow of people coming and going. It was a relaxed atmosphere and we were not rushed out by any means. I hadn't seen my friend in person for at least a year so it was nice to sit and just chat in a calm environment. Located directly across First Street from Sauced. This place is another positive addition to downtown Livermore.

We sat in the outdoor patio which was perfect as the summer heat was dying down. They also had blankets at the outdoor tables which was a nice touch. We started with the oysters and the Korean melon and cucumber salad. The oyster was light and fresh, and I've never had it paired with a salsa like that before. It didn't really feel like a cohesive bite with the oyster. The melon and cucumber salad had a nice sesame dressing that balanced out the sweet and crunchy bites. I'd skip both of these next time. For our mains we split the radiatori pasta and the steak. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce tasted more like butternut squash instead of sweet corn and tomatoes. It was still good but not quite what we were expecting. The steak was perfectly cooked medium rare and the mashed potatoes and herb butter were the ideal pairings. For our sweet treat, we split the milk and honey, which was a vanilla ice cream topped with honeycomb. This was SOOO good and maybe the best part of dinner. Overall, service was attentive and friendly, the outdoor patio was really nice in the cool summer breeze, and food was pretty good. A bit on the pricey side but I love spending time with my girls with yummy food and drink so it's worth it to me!

The food was excellent, and I would absolutely recommend giving this place a try. The servers were attentive, efficient, and did a great job delivering hot food, clearing tables, and accommodating several vegetarian modifications without issue. Unfortunately, what should have been a wonderful dining experience ended on a disappointing note due to the manager's behavior. We had a simple question regarding our bill and asked for clarification. The waitress brought over the manager, who immediately assumed we were requesting a discount--which was never the case. With a bill exceeding $100 and an automatic gratuity already included, we were simply seeking an explanation, not asking to save a couple of dollars. Hospitality is about making guests feel welcomed, respected, and valued. While mistakes and misunderstandings can happen, making assumptions about customers and responding in a dismissive manner falls short of that standard. The manager's attitude felt disrespectful and judgmental, turning what had been a very positive experience into a negative one. A restaurant can serve great food, but genuine hospitality is what brings people back. The servers delivered that hospitality throughout our visit; unfortunately, the manager's interaction at the end overshadowed an otherwise excellent meal. We also shared our concerns with the waitress before leaving, as we felt it was important for management to be aware of how this interaction impacted our experience.
