Ratings don't lie and not trying to look at ratings because I wanna believe Sometimes don't feel like cooking. maybe feel like eating pizza, but this is ridiculous. They have no clue that the paying customer is what keeps them in business. The kids behind the counter treat people like they could care less if we eat here or not. I work too hard for my money. We normally do not eat at any of those Chain Pizza Places - 'but' - my Wonderful, Lovely Wife has seen the Pizza Hot Commercail advertising their 'Big New Yorker' Pizza and it caught her interest. So, on "Taco Tuesday" we went to Pizza Hut. I know that doesn't make any sense, but here is that story. Earlier that day my Wife was feeling really tired and I said to her that; "It's Taco Tuesday, why don't we go out for Tacos tonight for Dinner." She then brought up the 'Pizza Hut' commercial and said; "Why not go to Pizza Hut and try their 'Big New Yorker', it looks really good." I agreed with her that we will give them a try. So, when it was dinner time we headed out to Pizza Hut. Now, I previously checked reviews on the three Pizza Huts in San Angelo (yep, we have three of them) - and the one with the 'best reviews' is located on Knickerbocker Rd - with 3-Stars. One other one has just over 2 stars and the other just under 2 stars - not great reviews at all - but it is Fast Food stuff. Anyway, we arrived and not many cars here. In fact, after we went inside there were no customers here - just us. This Pizza Hut is an old one but it is really clean inside and kept Very Neat & Tidy. Big Plus there. Christopher greeted us and we spoke to him about their 'Big New Yorker' and placed our order along with a Diet Dr Pepper for me and water for Nancy. He said they would bring it out to us when it was ready in 15 minutes. We grabbed a table and in 15 minutes one of the crew brought out our 'Big New Yorker' and this thing is 'BIG' - and pipping HOT from the oven. There is also a lot of Pepperoni on there and cut into 6-Large-Slices just like the commercial says. There is also a lot of Grease on this Pizza - pooling up all over and also soaking the box it was served in. While at the house I checked reviews on this 'Big Pizza' and they say since it is a New Yorker, you eat it like a New Yorker would by folding one of the Big Slices and eat it that way. A long review I read (no, I didn't write that one) stated that since it has a lot of thin sliced Pepperoni on there, expect some grease. I expected some Grease but didn't expect this much Grease - and it's a lot. The review also stated that they use a thin, semi-sweet sauce that's pretty good. Upon looking a this one, I don't see much sauce and you cannot taste much sauce - but there is a lot of Pepperoni on here and you can also ask for more, with an up-charge. Glad we didn't do that because it would mean more Grease. Not a lot of Cheese either. In the commercial the Cheese stretches a lot - and this does not happen with this one. The Crust does taste pretty good and it does have some decent flavor, tasty Pepperoni - and a lot of Grease. My Wife said she enjoyed her slice and thought the flavor was really good - and didn't mind the Grease. My first slice was folded over but my second slice was not - and there is a difference - the taste is still pretty good and I preferred the 'not folded over' bit - but it's still Greasy. I could only eat two slices, not because they are Huge (and they are) but because I cannot take the Grease - way to much for me. We took the rest of it home and I know when I have another slice, I'm gonna soak up that grease - and then add the Fried Eggs on top. Maybe - Anyway - the Staff here is pretty Awesome and Christopher and the lady who served our Big New Yorker, and brought us more napkins, both earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for going 'above and beyond' the norm. Now, just so you know, the Videos I watched that were reviewing this Big New Yorker, I noticed that they were not 'Greasy' - but some of them did mention the fact that the more Pepperoni you have, the more grease you might get. It also just might depend on how that particular Chain trains their staff on preparing the food you order. It just might be different than the place down the street. Check out Pizza Hut near you and give the 'Big New Yorker' at try - see what you think - it's 16" Extra Large Pizza cut into 6-Large Slices, which is pretty cool because if it was cut into 8 slices it would be more to eat - and six is just about the right size - folded over or not. LUNCH: Well, today I reheated a slice of the Big New Yorker. Didn't do the Fried Eggs on top, just wanted to see how it tasted by itself. After reheating, I sopped up the grease that was on top - it was very little due to it soaking into the Pizza slice, which made the crust Very Soggy and Chewy. Didn't really care for it. Figured I would eat the Pepperoni off of it, which was a better idea, but still not that great. I assure you, the Real New Yorker Pizza would be much better than the one Pizza Hut came up with. Lots of pepperonis... We went after a football game so it was pretty quiet. The guy who waited on us was very helpful, we ordered our pizza to go and waited about 15 minutes for our food which was 2 large pizzas and breadsticks. This pizza was made perfectly with just the right amount of pepperonis. Plus we received our order in a very timely manner. I was skeptical about going here, but it was my wife's choice. Haven't been here in several years because it wasn't a good eating experience. I was surprised that things have changed for the better. The pizza was good and hot, good selections. The place was very clean, the service was excellent. The employees were on the ball when it came to keeping the pizza,pasta, and bread sticks out hot and fresh. Highly recommend this for a lunch buffet. I.was told that they didn't renew their license because they were going to remodel at the end of the year. That makes no sense.. . Beer and pizza go together like peas and carrots. I ordered a large stuffed crust super supreme with a large order of cheese bread sticks. What I got was similar to a soggy tortilla with a cheese bread ring and a pile of soggy vegetables in the center. I have NEVER had a worst pizza in all my 50 yrs! The cheese bread sticks were fine except the size of the sauce cup is less than half the size, so of course, it was pathetic. Great experience with their lunch buffet on Sunday. We arrived around 11:30 and were hoping they had buffet on Sunday. We asked the manager and he said they start it at noon. We really wanted buffet so we were happy to sit and wait. The waitress asked if we wanted salad and she brought us each a salad plate they was really good. It also had tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, carrot, cheese and croutons. Pair that up with their awesome creamy Italian dressing and that's a winner. Then the waitress told us that they were going to begin the buffet early for us. Now that's good customer service! The buffet had four or five pizzas and two pasta dishes, one with marinara and one with Alfredo. Both were really good. The pizzas were great, several thin crust pepperoni's (our favorite) and other varieties. There was something for all tastes. The waitress was really sweet and she did a great job taking care of drink refills and clearing the used plates. Overall a great experience. We will definitely be back next time we're in town. read more

I ordered the large 3 topping pizza for lunch today.....Canadian bacon, Pineapple and mushroom. They have cut the Canadian bacon into strips. There were maybe 3 or 4 strips on each slice, no mushrooms that I could see and very few pieces of pineapple. I've been ordering from this Pizza Hut on North Chadbourne for a very long time.....I am so unhappy with them right now. The quality of their food has gone down the tube! Won't be going back..... Do not order online and expect any help. The people answering the phones are rude and short tempered. They can't get orders correct and it's difficult to review your order so you know what you ordered. They ask you to sign up for all these other programs, just in convenient. Not a fan of this location at all. Ordered a pizza, breadsticks, cheese sticks, and a salad. The only thing they did right was the salad but even it was pretty nasty. Pizza had one of those drizzle things on the crust when we ordered it without. Breadsticks were really old and the cheese sticks had a really off taste. Thinking bad cheese. Service was good when walked in but the carry out desk person didn't even great us us, just said "name in the order!" That's it. This Pizza Hut is great. They have a buffet on Sunday's. It starts at noon. We got there about 11:30 so our waitress started us off with a salad plate. They don't have a salad bar but what we were served was great and fresh. It was lettuce,tomato,cucumber,red onion, croutons and cheese. We got there creamy Italian because it's delicious and you can only get this kind at Pizza Hut. The staff and manager were just great. They started the buffet earlier since we were there. The pizza was hot, fresh and great. Best buffet we have ate at. They also had 2 kinds of pasta on the buffet. Marinara and Alfredo. Both were great. We will be back when we are in town. read more

Went for the lunch buffet today, this place had a buffet big enough to hold 4 pizzas... for the whole restaurant. The place was full and they were only putting pizzas out that no one was eating.. like cheese and onion. They had the worst waitstaff in town. It didnt look like a single customer was happy. Worse experience ever from a Pizza Hut. Told 3 different people before me and my son finally got our drinks, dry pizza and pasta on buffet line looked like it had been sitting awhile. Once some fresh pizza was put on the line it actually tasted really good unfortunatly though im not one to wait for something that should have allready been fresh and ready. Decided to be dirty tonight and order from Pizza Hut. Bad choice. The pizzas showed up with literally raw uncooked dough and uncooked/unmelted cheese. Called to ask why, and they sent replacements (1 hour later). The second batch was worse than the first. We are pretty regular customers. We have only eaten in once, but we order and pick up quite frequently. We have never had an incorrect order and the service has always been friendly. The food was always hot and fresh. I'm still lamenting the loss of green olives though. read more
