Craig the store operations lead is a class act guy and super kind dude. He runs a good biz and serves amazing pizza. I love Hawaiian pie and this place nails it! The honey wheat crust makes it even better than most other places do it. Fast service, kind staff, a big open space with an event room and game room. Gross, soggy wings. The pizza is pale, bread dough, overpriced trash. I got delivery so I can't speak on anything else. The pizza sauce is bland. I swear some people see abundant toppings and associate that with good pizza. I bought a 15" 5 topping pizza w/ 8 wings (which are disgusting) for $45. GTFOOH! Pizza Hut will be better, shit, Dominoes would be a better choice. I hope this chain is relegated to Texas, and only Texas. Wouldn't want this shit contaminating the rest of the country. read more

Always looking for a local place to try so when we were in the mood for pizza we decided on this place. The place was larger than I expected. Was very clean, had some gaming for youth and TVs with a ballgame going on (summer NBA league). We ordered pizza, salad, cheesy breadsticks and cinnamon sticks. Everything was good. My co-workers and I stop by here frequently for lunch and can say it is not very consistent. Most of the time the pizza is good in some of the times you're at a Miss wondering if they're going to bring pizza or not and the pizza that is left over is usually cold by then. The price is very reasonable for a pizza buffet with drink included. It cames to around $11 and some change. Around Peak times if you get here late you will find yourself welcome by many dirty tables if they are understaffed that day but if you are feeling creative just take the dirty dishes and throw another table, usually the tables on that dirty Health use your eyes when all the tables are full and they realize it finally. Parking is shared by other businesses, is ample but in a tight squeeze, so bringing a dually here you might as well take up two spaces. Bathrooms are somewhat like a pool hall if you know what I mean so be prepared for the worst that way you will not have hifh expectations about it. Usually the personnel out front are kind of friendly but depends on who is working that day. It would not take much to bring this to a four-star, they are almost there. read more

Making a long road trip and pizza sounded good, found this place on Google so we decided to make a stop. So glad we did! We went to order and they were out of basil due to the holiday. Didn't bother me, so I went to choose another pizza and they told us we'd get a discount on our whole order. We didn't expect it but appreciated it! The food is pretty good. Hadn't been in a couple of years since COVID. As far as quick pizzas this one if the better ones in San Angelo outside of your chain restaurants. Nothing special or stand out but nothing that would turn you away. I would recommend giving it a try. read more

In my town we don't have a Double Dave's. So while my husband was waiting on chicken I called in my order. Got in and they were closing up BUT.... They treated me as if it was mid day. We went and sat down with the plates, some chairs wobbly, 3 out of 4 plates weren't clean. 2 was black grease on the edge but the 3rd had food debris on it so we took it back. The service is rather minimal, you order at the counter and someone brings it out to you; that's the extent of your interaction with the staff. The atmosphere is bright with the walls covered in old tin signs. The bathrooms are clean enough but could use improvement. Went in on Monday afternoon and were the only customers in the building...we had a large pepperoni and a philly cheesesteak. Possibly the best pizza I've ever had...crust was perfect. Wife said she's had better cheesesteak but, still, it was very good. I can't understand some of the negative reviews here...it was clean, staff was friendly, food was hot and delicious...what more could you want? People that nitpick and need a diaper change when they walk in make me just shake my head. I don't mind getting my own drink and I don't need constant attention once the meal is served...grow up, people! This is an excellent stop for excellent pizza. Double Daves is so great! Totally recommend! Back story, I live in Washington, D.C., and my boyfriend is training at the base in San Angelo. For our one year anniversary, I wanted to do something to surprise him, but I decided flowers were too girly, and he doesn't like sweets. I heard about how my friend had sent her boyfriend in Miami a heart-shaped pizza, and I thought that was perfect! So I looked on Yelp for pizza places around San Angelo, and I found Double Daves. I picked it partially because it wasn't a chain, so I thought they might be more open to requests. And they were! I called on the day of, and the manager seemed skeptical at first, but he agreed he could at least cut it into a heart shape. When the pizza arrived at my boyfriend's house (promptly at 7 p.m., when I asked), not only was it in the shape of a heart, but it had all the crust, as if it had been molded and baked that way, rather than just cut afterwards! And he said the pizza was delicious! Best of all (for this recent college grad), it was decently priced - less than I would have paid for a cookie bouquet, for sure. My only regret is that I can't upload a picture to show all your yelpers how awesome this pizza turned out. This pizza was excellent and what you look for when you think of good, fun, and pleasurable experiences. The atmosphere was great for sports or just hanging with friends kicking back and chatting. I ordered the deep dish which is not like Chicago but few deep dish pizzas can live up to that standard. The ingredients where fresh and delicious even the next day. Great find in such a small town. So for sale fundraiser the kids got to go for pizza which is very nice reward for the kids but I dont know who chose Double Dave's that place is terrible. The place was very dirty and the food was quite disgusting want be going back there .They charge 11.00 per person and we couldn't even eat the food .Those poor kids are going back to school hungry not very many was eating the food my kid said it was gross and she loves pizza. The staff are pretty rude. If you like the way a wet dog smells that's what the pizza taste like please dont waste you money. read more
