Server Cierra got this place 2 stars. She was sweet and did a great job. The rest was awful. The pizzas were not good. Not much flavor at all, crust on the thin crust pizza was flavorless, super brittle and made the pizza seem like it had been sitting for hours. Ok not pizza with any flavor was the taco pizza. Also a thin crust and so it was disappointing. The amount of sauce they put on the pizzas was minimal at best. The pasta bar was ok. The salad bar looked like a rabid ground squirrel got into it. The food was not that great dessert pizzas were also sub par. What was worse for me was how filthy this place is. From the front door to the walls to the actual eating areas themselves. Lastly food gave me tummy issues 20 min after I left the place. Avoid this place. There are several other pizza places in town. Even little Caesars has it over this place. Pizza is nothing special and even with inflation buffet just seems a little overpriced at $12 a person without even drinks. I was met as I walked in by a very nice gentleman who seated me graciously. I was then approached by my waitress who took my drink order. So far, all was good, then I went to the buffet. Everything looked good until I returned to my table and took a bite of their pizza. The crust was as soggy and limp as a garden hose. It was very salty and the toppings were minimal at best. I thought I should give another pizza a try, and sure enough, it was just as bad as the first. Sadly, if the folks of E town think this is good, I would hate to see what they would find bad. A very busy location on a Thursday around 12 noon. Pies kept coming out hot and fresh. Salad bar selections were all fresh - cucumbers were peeled! Ok, yum. I also like that there are a few pasta and sauce options on the hot bar. Bar none - cheese sticks and bbq chicken are crowd favorites and immediately get gobbled up. Pro tip - request a few pies you want and they will bring 3-4 slices to your table before they put it out on the buffet. Didn't try any of the pizzerts - just not a fan. Bathrooms clean and tidy. Like, half of Betsy was here as this is a very popular Pizza Inn location. Staff was ready - friendly and attentive. Kelley was great. I heard staff thank customers for coming in repeatedly as they departed. Best Pizza Inn I've been to. Will definitely be back. Ok, Pizza Inn in Elizabethton. Here's what happened to me today at lunch. 3 of us went for lunch and thought we would try it due to the $4.99 lunch special signs they've put everywhere. Went in and when they took us to a table, they were so tight there was no way for me to even try to sit down because they've put too many tables together and the in between spots have wooden beams to go around. We asked if we could move to a table no one was next to so we could sit down. They did that no problem. Next we asked about the $4.99 special, the waitress had no idea about it, she just wanted to sell us the buffet, at $13.50 for drink and buffet. Now we can eat at Applebee's across the street for $9.99 including drink. So after tip lunch for one person is roughly $15. We asked to see a menu we just wanted to order a pizza and drinks, took her a minute to find one but she gave us menus. We decided on a large supreme and since the drinks were only $.99 on the menu, that worked for us. I went to wash up in the bathroom. The floor is bare concrete and the toilet and sink are older and it honestly looks like an employee bathroom not a customer one. The issue I had began when she dropped off the bill, I looked and they charged $2.19 for each drink. I still had a menu and after thoroughly looking it over, not one place had drinks for $2.19. In fact just under the drink area was the prices for the buffet so this is a legit dine in menu. When I asked her why we were charged more than double for drinks, she took the menu to ask her manager. She comes back to tell us that's the to go menu and that's just for to go drinks. I told her she gave us that menu and that's why we ordered what we did ( no joke, go look at their menu) she told me if I still had a problem I need to take it up with the manager when I check out. Good. After we got done with lunch, I did exactly as the waitress told me and was asking the manager at the checkout about the drinks. It was at this time this older man to her right came unglued and outright started yelling at me that they don't have $.99 drinks and I am wrong, I asked him to show me on HIS menu where the $2.19 drinks were he told me if I don't like it don't come back! he had no reason to go off on me, I was asking nicely about the drinks cost on the menu when he came at me hard yelling at me like I was ripping him off when all I was asking was why was I charged more than double what the menu stated. Whatever you do don't question the management at Elizabethton pizza inn. They'll yell at you. read more

Stopped here on the way back home to North Carolina and our server Lindsey was an absolute pleasure to have! We have been to many buffets and pizza joints and this location single handedly topped every single one of them. Even on a busy Saturday, Lindsey kept our drinks full without fail, brought out a special made pizza straight to me, and her kindness and enthusiasm was top notch. Servers everywhere need to take a page out of her book! Pizza was great and desserts kept us at the table an extra 10 minutes to try them all!! She did keep drinks on our table without asking so that was nice. I think if she was better trained she would have been ok. She just lacked a lot of information and confidence. We only wanted a Pepperoni Pizza and a Cheese Pizza on the buffet. I waited over 15 minutes to eat once I got there. It took 5 minutes just to find someone who understood how to make the request for the buffet. I would have ordered off the menu had I known all I know now. I ate here at a kid. I worked here as a teen. I stopped going when it became Spicy's. I drove an hour to get there because I live out of town but wanted to go when I found out it reopened. I will never get buffet here again. I may order off the menu but, I will not go out of my way to get here in the future. I hope they do well and when I'm passing in to see family I will visit them and order from the menu. She had the whole back (windowed) dining room and was incredibly efficient, friendly, professional and her personality was perfect! It's amazing how small the buffet area is at this place. There's barely any room for the food. However, one of the best things about going to a buffet at a busy time (such as a Saturday evening) is the quick turnaround time for pizza. There's constantly stuff coming in and out, so there's several fresh pizzas to grab. The cheesy options were the best, in my opinion, and the breadsticks taste better than they look. I went to Pizza Inn on a visit to TN about 3 weeks ago. It in the past had been a favorite of mine since I grew up around there. Then they went down hill. So when I went back to visit I decided to give it another try. Service from the Manager was very personable. I requested an Italian crust pizza as it has been my favorite. It was delicious. When I was there a year ago they told me they couldn't make it. Well apparently they can. I gave them 5 stars because they deserve them on this last visit. I however was sad to see that my favorite breadsticks were no more and they have replaced that favorite with garlic knots (yuck). So even though they have decreased their menu I was happy to see someone there that knows what good customer service was. He went out of his way to make me happy.
