What a great spot! We went in on a Trivia night and the staff were absolutely amazing. Super friendly and attentive to the tables with a full house. The atmosphere was awesome as well. I love the open concept were you can see the kitchen from the dinning room. There were TV's going (no sports) with Garfield cartoons and an art show. The place was clean and the menu is very creative. We ordered the hot smoked chicken wings and they were fantastic...tons of flavor and cooked perfect, nice and crispy on the outside. The rabe was another fantastic option. It was probably the best rabe because it wasn't bitter at all and was not saturated with oil. I really liked how they added white beans to for the protein and the roasted carrots. It was cooked perfectly. The drinks surprised me, there were tons of craft cocktails and high end beer options. We tried a couple of the cocktails. The elephant talk and bicycle operator were the 2 best out of the four we had. Root bear float was a dessert treat and one more slice was very unique and balanced. Pizza J is definitely a cool hip place that will be added to my list to frequent more often than not. read more

I know I have already reviewed pizza j but I need to leave anther appreciation review! I am floored at the amount of options they have for people with dietary restrictions! They offer gluten free, dairy free cheese, and vegan toppings! I don't eat meat and I'm lactose intolerant. I feel like I have actual options here! I loved my pizza so much last night but almost cried happy tears when our server, Rachel, brought me over a shaker of nutritional yeast. A dream come true!!! Rachel took really good care of us and made sure to even tell me about the vegan chocolate gelato special. Which I obviously had to get! Consistently one of my fave pizza joints in Providence. Fun Atmosphere, and spacious, and has pinball! Cmon!! Pinball, people!! How great is that ? The pizza here is pretty large and always expertly made kind of in the NY style but with its own twist. My faves are the Roni( classic pepperoni pie) and the Strutter (sausage, onion and red pepper). Last time I was there I changed it up and got the King Tidal (bacon, pineapple and scallion) and it was killer. Also don't sleep on their wings. They are smoked instead of just fried and are out of this world. Cocktails here are no slouch either. Which you might not be expecting from a pizzeria. I recommend the bicycle operator. They also have a pretty extensive beer and cider list, if that is more to your liking. All in all, Pizza J is a must try pizzeria in a city that has a ton of great pizza places. read more

Fantastic pizza spot that has trivia nights, pinball machines, and just a really fun vibe. Our server was so knowledgeable about the menu and all the ingredients, and helped us make any modifications we needed for our food allergies. They also have an entire vegan menu, and we were very appreciative about how accommodating and accessible they were. We split some garlic fries (with a sub of vegan aioli) and one pizza (love that they could do half and half). We got a half of the Strutter (sausage and peppers) and half of the Neurotic Sasquatch (BBQ chicken), and both were fantastic. For pickup orders, the wait time is either 1/2 an hour or an hour. Even if they are not busy, sometimes when the order goes in they choose an hour. There is no interest in getting food ready in a timely manner for takeout. It's been pretty frustrating because this is one of the only places that we can get dairy and egg free pizza for my daughter who's allergic. read more

I absolutely love Pizza J! Solid, classic, and consistent NY style pizza with great crust. They accommodate half and half toppings at fair prices and they also have delicious smoky wings (I like the sweet Thai chili sauce on the side)! Cute spot to eat in with a hip and quirky vibe from the decor to the pinball machines and themed bathrooms... and friendly service! I got the "Mr. Potato Head" pizza (potatoes, mozzarella, cheddar, bacon, garlic, black pepper, garlic aioli, scallions, & I requested to add sausage) on gluten-free dough. How have I never reviewed before ? We love pizza j and go fairly often. It's a fun atmosphere and def a place to hang for a bit. The staff is all super , always have had a great experience with them. They have a lot of craft beers you won't find anywhere else. Also lots of diff cocktails for those who don't drink beer. The menu is small but you can have so ain't diff kinds of pizza that you will find something for sure. Five of us split two pizzas and that was enough. We also had a bread pudding that was sooo good. We stumbled upon this amazing retro-styled pizza place last winter when our son wrestled for the state championship at the PCTA. The gluten free pizza was soooo good that we have ordered and picked up from there even though it's at least 30 minutes away. Last time I ordered the Arcimboldo but had it made with a white sauce. We settled in to try the wings & really enjoyed the atmosphere. Pinball tables & bright artwork add to the fun. The smoky hot wings were fantastic - Crispy, tasty & spicy. 1) this review is only about the wrings. I have had pizza here and it's good. the staff is friendly and professional. 2) but yesterday as a over 60 person I was served the worst wings I have ever had. they were so over cooked and dry I couldn't swallow them and had to get water over and over. 3) I don't know if this is a one off, or a chronic issue, but don't get the wings or be prepared to send them back until the kitchen does a better job. Delicious thin crust pizza place in the Fed Hill neighborhood! First things first there's a couple parking spots out front which is nice! The ambiance is very casual and cool with lots of retro touches!! Originally came with some friends to grab some pizza to take home, but they told us the wait was around 1 hour when we got there around 7pm on a Wednesday night. So we opted to dine in as they said the wait may be closer to 30 minutes if we dine in! SO in the future if you're looking to get take out from this place, I would definitely call ahead at least an hour beforehand :) Regarding the food, I enjoyed it! The Tony Clifton was actually surprisingly my favorite pizza!! It's a vegetarian pizza, which I typically don't go for, but the flavors were all so great and meshed well! We also got their take on the Haiwaiian which I usually love but it wasn't as good as I had hoped because the pineapple pieces were pretty small and thin so the flavor did not come through as much. I also thought the crust came out to be a little dry. However, overall, I would come back if I'm craving any thin crust pizza with fun toppings :) read more

Went there with the family for the first time last weekend . What a great place !!! Was not expecting it to be as fun/good as it was !! The place has fun pinball machines..,great music playing and tv's on !! A welcoming vibe !! The food was delicious ... pizza and calamari . Adult beverages were on spot .. yum !!
