The best place to stop for pizza on the way to the beach! When you pick up the pizza inside you can see them making each pizza by hand in the back. Some of the best pizza we've had. We love the thin crust, crispy from the wood fired oven.

We've been ordering pies from Pizza Mambo for a decade now. Solid pizza option. We appreciate PM's fresh ingredients, take-out accessibility, Taft's proximity (across the street), and pleasant demeanor (even when busy). We're always happy to see some familiar faces in the back working both the dough and ovens. The pizza is thin crust, chewy and crunchy (ideal), and their Italian sausage is the crumbly/fennely kind we all love. Hey, we'd love a bit more sauce, but you can always order a side dunker. Price point is accurate for "what you get", about $25 per pie. We look forward to our next pie...or 3!

Hubby and I were in the area for tulip festival. This little gem was right down the street. We picked up to eat in our hotel. My husband only really likes thin crust and surprise surprise that's all they have there! But it's cooked on wood burning oven or at least that's what it seemed like. Great amount of toppings, light sauce as we requested, toppings were quality and tasted great! So happy! And the cost wasn't out of this world only the flavor!!

Came here for because of the good ratings but was disappointed. We ordered a large Rustico pizza. The crust was so dry and flavorless. The toppings itself didn't really taste good. There was not enough sauce under the cheese. Not worth the $25.

Decent food for the price. Took almost an hour and a half for food to be delivered, and pizza was not hot when they arrived. Fresh veggies for the wings, but not the "jumbo" size that were expected.

I loooove thin crust so was happy as a clam when I picked up my order. I ordered the Rustico + chicken. Soooo good. Yum. Yes! Service was friendly too.

I also ordered two coconut macaroons, which weren't too sweet and hit the spot. This place is extremely crowded and busy so make sure you plan at least 30 minutes ahead. Wait time is long and I wouldn't recommend if you're too hungry. It was definitely very very hot day so the place was pretty stuffy, but I don't blame the deli itself, but fair warning. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was disappointing. The woman who took our coffee order was rude, barely acknowledged us, and didn't seem interested in helping. We also waited much longer than expected for such a simple order. The biggest issue was the food. The egg sandwiches came with pickled red onions that were stringy, tough, and barely chewable. The onions completely ruined the sandwiches, and we ended up throwing both of them away after only a few bites. While I appreciated the kindness of the employee who took our sandwich order, the slow service, unfriendly interaction at the coffee counter, and disappointing food left us with an overall mediocre experience. I'm giving 3 stars because there was one bright spot with the friendly employee, but I don't think we'll be back.

Incredible food that I'm Gibbs dream about for a few more nights yet. I had the walleye, my fiancée had the pot pie (called something else on the menu; I forget exactly what). Our server was very kind, personable, and relaxed, and she offered us great recommendations, and boy am I glad I listened. I can't recommend this place enough. What I can say - The service was wonderful, my food was quite tasty, and the waiting area outside was absolutely delightful (I honestly would have preferred to dine there and in hindsight I should have expressed a preference to dine outside if I had known better). However, the driveway to enter the business parking lot has a HUGE pothole making it very hard nay impossible to navigate if there are any vehicles leaving the parking lot simultaneously. And the restaurant itself is adorable but VERY loud and cramped. I had my chair pushed in as far as I could comfortably do, but was constantly being bumped by servers and patrons trying to navigate to the single stall bathroom. When trying to leave there were dozens of cars parked on the side of the highway, blocking any visibility and making it hard to safely pull out of the driveway when time to leave. Now, the food was delightful and I found the mushrooms in particular a perfect blend of salty and woodsy, a light delicious addition to the meal. The sausage was exquisite and I could find myself craving them in the future. My rye bread was not as flavorful as I have come to expect when requesting rye bread and the slices were really quite thin. My wife also reported her hash was delicious. My friend enjoyed her croissant sandwich. And the soufflé pancake looked incredible, though arrived several minutes after the rest of the party's food so was scorching hot coming out of the oven while our food had cooled to room temperature. I would love to see the restaurant continue to grow out of these pains and I hope others can come and enjoy it, but I had a less than stellar experience and unfortunately despite the kind servers doing their best to make this a positive experience, I do not plan to return.

The quality of food was not good and hummus wrap and classic bagel sandwich were underwhelming. The wrap was 96% lettuce and then hummus and tomato's making up the rest of it. I'd come across them while doing my HW for the trip, but without really knowing the area, I'd thought that staying in South Haven meant I wouldn't get the chance to visit, but after stopping in to The Flying Saucer in South Haven and picking up their beans there for the house, I learned everything is kinda close on this part of the coast! This is their main location, right in the heart of Saugatuck. It's cozy and colorful, warm and inviting, and filled with some incredibly sweet people. Oh yeah. They have A LOT of great coffee too! Their specialty and seasonal drinks all sounded delicious, but I'm a purist in pursuit of the best cup of black coffee, here for the single origins and blends that are sourced and roasted by this skilled team. Walking in I was faced by a massive wall filled with beautiful bags of beans from all over the world, each labeled with notes on origin, processing and flavor profile. I set my sights on a pour over and when the cashier said I could choose anything from the wall, I was gobsmacked (that's a funny word). The range was so impressive, with great representation from all over the world, processed in all different ways, making the choice quite difficult. It's a good thing I used my time in line to look at all of the options, and I settled on a white honey processed coffee called Villa Sarchi, which was delightful. If I have one quibble it's that they didn't have an actual pour over menu and this is simply because I enjoy asking the baristas about the coffees. This spot is super hot, with a line out the door at all times, so despite the barista at the counter being incredibly accommodating, I couldn't in good conscience hold up the patrons behind me with too many questions or returns to the wall. I also tried their espresso lime tonic for a beverage to stroll with and enjoyed the slight sweet and tart drink very much on a hot day. Uncommon also has a great menu of food offerings and we had a bagel breakfast sandwich and one of their MASSIVE savory scones. I wish I'd asked or been asked about warming the scone because it definitely needed it, but holy hell this thing was packed with cheesy goodness and the perfect foil to my naturally sweet coffee. Normally I go home with one bag of coffee as a souvenir, but I couldn't help but buy two, which were in addition to the beans I also bought in South Haven! In total I think I sampled about 5 different Uncommon roasts and loved them all! I loved this place so much I looked to buy merch, but sadly they had run out of the sizes I needed. There's always next time. Or maybe they'll ship...

Incredible. Coffee wise: fair. I ordered a few specialty summer cold brews for my wife and I and they were tiny, and my wife's was well-made with cold foam and cinnamon, but mine barely had a dollop (I gave her the good one, aren't I a nice husband?) I got a black coffee on my second visit and it wasn't very good. Service: friendly but slow. I was SO glad to have pitcher on pitcher of cold brew back at the AirBNB so I didn't have to wait. The times I came, this place was popping and it (expectedly) took some time. Hours: I was out for an early morning walk in the six o'clock am hour and several other middle-aged to elderly people were circling like vultures waiting for their caffeine fix. I feel like in peak season bumping hours to 6 or even 6:30 might do numbers for them. Food: I ordered a buttered bagel for my kids the first time in and it took a long, long time. I think they forgot about it. It appeared to be a grocery store style bagel and was ok. I'm telling you, this place looks beautiful and it's got great energy. It just so happened the business and the coffee on just a few visits didn't quite land. I would definitely encourage folks to try it out, it just missed the mark more than I was hoping for.

Pumpernickels is a vibe and a great place to sit a spell in the summer here in Saugatuck, but when it comes to the food, while it matches the vibe and is presented beautifully, tastes very average and is not value oriented aka on the spendy side. We came in as a party of 6 around 2pm and quickly got a table outside. Our server was sweet and kind, and quick to take our orders, but once that happened we really didn't see her all that much, which was frustrating. On top of that, the main dish on the menu that brought us here (goat cheese dip) was sold out after lunch, which was a major disappointment. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs, chicken sandwich (grilled), rueben, green bean salad, and a kids mac n cheese and chicken tenders. The best bites were the eggs and the green bean salad, but the portion on the salad was so petite that it was barely a meal for the person who ordered it. The chicken was dry and the sandwich incredibly generic. The reuben didn't have enough of the house corned beef and was also dry. Now I could be wrong here, but the fried green tomatoes seemed like a frozen product. with a uniform breading and cook, but the chicken fingers definitely were and the mac n cheese was quite literally Kraft. I'm going to hope that this is a hot dinner or brunch spot, because what we had was pretty disappointing. I was torn between here and the spot around the corner that featured a lot of local ingredients in a more casual setting, but chose this because it seemed to be more culinarily focused, and I was let down.
