Got a pizza from here due to impending bad weather, and figuring we'd be hotel bound for the night. Was very disappointed and didn't even want to waste the calories on a second piece! Ugh. Bummer. When you and your friends are hungry, too lazy too cook, and on vacation, you order pizza! Pizza mambo was somehow our first choice. We ordered two margherita pizzas, one pepperoni, and one veggie pizza. Our pizzas were delivered quick (less than 45 mins). However, the problem was not with their service... Their pizzas were soggy and chewy. Definitely not the type of pizza I'm used to back in NYC. The slices did not hold up well when I tried to fold it in half. My favorite from the three was the veggie pizza. They loaded it with a bunch of green peppers, onions, mushroom, tomatoes, black olives, and cheese. The next time we decide to have pizza night again, we'll probably give another place try. read more

Asked for cheese fries with bacon and received uncooked raw bacon with my fries. That right there should've made me walk away but I had hope that they would correct my order for me. Little did I know the customer service is horrible and in replace for my cheese fries with bacon they handed me a regular order of fries with no cheese and no bacon. It's middle of the road and gets the job done. I've noticed opinions of pizza in OC vary WIDELY. I do enjoy the sauce on this pizza. It isn't too sweet and has a nice tang to i; I actually wish I had gotten extra sauce. The crust is thin which is okay and may not even be hand made. I can't tell. The cheese is a bit overdone but it's not so bad that is turn down a slice. I'd probably order again and as for extra sauce and probably extra cheese. read more

Absolutely terrible. We ordered this on our last night of our OC weekend trip thinking it would be nice to get some NY style pizza. Big regret. 1) Wings. Ordered a 10 piece BBQ. Wings were tiny, much smaller than the ones you get at the chain places. They were not tossed in sauce. Instead some BBQ sauce was drizzled on the top. And to make matters worse, out of 10 wings, 5 of them had broken bones. 2) Cheese fries. Unsalted nasty fries. I was expecting something baked with cheese. Instead I find a styrofoam container with a half-filled 2oz contained of COLD cheese whiz. I like whiz, but really? Cold? 3) Cheese calzone. Two center pieces had a decent amount of cheese. The side pieces had none. Cold tomato sauce. 4) Pepperoni pizza. Not half bad, but nothing to write home for. Crust is fantastic. Good amount of pepperoni and grease. Could use more cheese. Main complaint is the lack of tomato sauce. Really, really dry pizza. Disappointing. 5) Staff. I just spent 50 bucks here for this nasty food. I used to go here all the time, back in ocean city for the first time in years and was really excited to get some Mambos, this was the OG one down town and it was no good. I don't come to Ocean City looking for great quality pizza. That doesn't mean I'm going to settle for fast food garbage like Domino's or Pizza Hut, but I don't anticipate the glory of authentic Italian awesomeness. It was with this in mind that we swung into Pizza Mambo looking for a pie that would satiate our stomachs after a traffic-ridden commute to the shore. The pizza is good. It's not great. It's not going to change your worldview on pizza and open your eyes to things you never knew you never knew. It will taste good and it will make you happy that you ate it. Essentially, it does what I require of pizza. The crust is good, nice and thin but not too papery. The sauce good use a bit more pizzazz, but it gets the job done. The cheese and seasonings a on point and loaded with flavor. The only downside is maybe it's a little too oily. I say eat here and enjoy some pizza. read more

Ordered delivered late one night. The calzone was huge and more like a folded pizza but still very yummy! The marinara that it was served with was ice cold but I was able to heat it up in my room. I also order the cheese fries with the cheese on the side. The delivery dude simply grabbed the money, offered no change and bolted. The cheese was missing and since I paid for it I called the place back, when he returned with it I asked for my change (which was still short). I am currently enjoying a nice Pizza Bianca with a Yuengling in my room and I must say, this is a tasty pizza. Here are my pro's and con's for this pie: Pro's: The crust is perfect. It is crispy underneath yet chewy. It is not to thin nor to thick. The flavor is also spot on. This is what a pizza crust should be. Now, the cheese is really nice as well. Some pizza has a cheese with strange consistency or just doesn't taste right. The cheese they use is great. Last but not least, delivery! I had my pizza in about 30 mins to the hotel I am at. Con's: This is more of a personal con but I prefer more garlic on my white pizza. That's just me. Either way, this is delicious! I am only in town for a couple of days so I will not be able to eat here again which sucks as I would really like to see what some of the other pizza is like. If you want Pizza, you go this location Pizza Mambos. They have pepperoni or cheese by the slice. Do not expect a jumbo slice, but expect a good size slice, one you can fold. I have been going to this location once every summer for the past 4 summers. Its a must if you want PIZZA! Open late night too (til 3 a.m.?, call). PRICE: SUPER AFFORDABLE slice less than $3. I work from home in OC and will often run out to Mambo for a slice or two for lunch. I sat there one day last year eating my slice and talking to the food supply rep. He was telling me that unlike much of the competition, Mambo uses all the best ingredient and cheeses. So while their crust or style may not be what you are used to, they have a quality product. My only complaint with the place is that their pizza crust is usually well done and I prefer it lightly done, and since I only buy a slice or two, I don't get to specify. They deliver, but if you are a tourist, realize that traffic in town can be horrible, so it can take forever for any driver to make multiple stops. read more

We ordered delivery from here last night. They told us 30 minutes, but ended up being more like 50, which wasn't a huge deal. We got the "Mumbo Jumbo" deal, which included a large 1 topping pizza, 10 wings, and 6 of their 'giant' breadsticks. Yes, the breadsticks were indeed giant, however, they had NO taste. None. No garlic, seasoning, Parmesan cheese, nothing. Extremely bland. The pizza was luke-warm by the time it arrived. I think it would've been pretty good had it been hot, but it wasn't even close. We ordered sausage as our topping, and there was hardly any on our pie- probably only 1-2 pieces per slice. The wings were the best thing out of the three, but they only gave us one very tiny container of blue cheese, which was nowhere near enough. After a long week, I was excited for an evening of relaxing, tv, and some delivery pizza. I decided not to go the normal route and tried Mambo. On a very SLOW evening in OC, my pizza arrived an hour later (quoted 30-45), cold (with oil soaked through the box), no Parmesan cheese or pepper from the delivery guy, and DISGUSTING! My white pizza reminded me of cardboard. I should have known when the man that answered the phone treated me like I don't live there and was just visiting... Not the case. Order placed for delivery. Must say, the only thing holding me at 4 stars is the rude woman who took my order. Tried a bite of my kid's pizza--delicious, and seasoned! Unlike a lot of places, we didn't have to add seasonings to the top of the cheese pizza! Had a cheesesteak---light mayo, light lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, green peppers, and extra provolone cheese. Put ketchup on when it got here---onions weren't just grilled--they were slivered and grilled to perfection. The steak was tasty, and they actually did listen when I said light on the mayo! We did eat here one night and the pizza was okay, it is a thinner crust than we were used to. However, we came back for breakfast and it was amazing. Really filling and well prepared and (most important) cheap. The four of us ate for under $25, which is always impressive even for a breakfast meal. Good service as well even though the young lady taking our order didn't understand us all the time (they have a lot of Russian/Eastern European students working in Ocean City), very helpful and nice. read more
