We chose this Pizza Man Dan's as a meeting spot for pizza after paintball at Ambush hoping for a cold pitcher of beer and greasy food. The pizza is good, something I would come back for to take out or delivery. The thin crust was perfect. The salad bar was surprisingly good. Ding 2 stars for undercooked buffalo wings and on a Saturday at 6pm, all 3 drafts were out of order. Had the worst experience ever here and will not be returning. My husband went in over a month ago to reserve the back room he originally booked it for 5pm, I then went in 2weeks later to change the time to 6pm no problem. We showed up with our family last week and this man who claims to be a supervisor (no manager on staff) was arguing with us stating we didn't book it. Told us to use the other tables. Asked him reason why and didn't have an answer for it and he would talk back rudely. If that room wasn't being used, not sure why it's such a problem. Then walks back to ask the employee making the pizza if it's ok to use the room. If you call yourself a supervisor then why are you asking your staff? He then said yes after throwing such a fit over nothing. If they don't allow use of this room they should've have said something before & we could've booked our dinner somewhere else. We had an important family gathering as to why we wanted this room and wanted some sort of privacy. Anyway I had called an hour before to place the large food order which also include the family salad tray. The man insists that we didn't order that while trying to shove the receipt in my face trying to prove it's not on there. I told him yes the person on the phone repeated the order and gave me the total. He then says that they're out of trays which is why they couldn't make it. He should've said that in the beginning instead of trying to make me look stupid by waving the paper right in my face. We then added beer to our order and he got more annoyed and very rudely asked for everyone to get out their IDs. I get that that's what they need to do but you could be kind and ask in a nicer way. At that point my brother in law asked him why does he have to be so rude. After ordering the lunch pizza with salad and drink and paying $15 I received this...(see picture) it's a mini individual size. This was tiny my kids ate it but us adults went somewhere else to eat. I got the manager special 1 large pizza and wings. The pizza was average but the wings didn't come with sauce on them. They were dry and the scorpion sauce was in a tinny little plastic container. I am a residen of Moorpark. I felt extremely uncomfortable with one of the employees there. She kept on starting at us the entire time we were there. She was watching my children every time they went to refill drinks. My kid got soda in a water cup and I said something to him about that when he returned to the table but the employees approached him as well. She only approached him and walked away. After her staring at us for a long time I approached her and when I started talking to her she just turned around, gave me her back and walked to the back. She returned with her supervisors card. I asked for her name and she said it was Karen and before I could even address any of my concerns and her uncomfortable stares with her she turned around again, gave me her back and walked away. Karen was extremely rude. The customer service here is the worst I've ever seen. If I could give 0 stars I would. I will definitely be making a call to her supervisor. I hope she gets additional training. Ignoring customers is not ok. Went to pizza man dans in moorpark at 9pm after a long day of work we were excited to sit down and order a pizza with our kids but we were DENIED SERVICE although online store hours says 11pm . We were told by a SUPERVISOR that we weren't allowed to order a beer an hour before closing which I've never heard of ?!. I work restaurants and last call for drinks is usually 10-15 min before closing not a whole hour before . We tried ordering a pizza and asked if we can please substitute ONE of the toppings due to a food allergy and he very rudely denied and kept cutting me off while i tried explaining with a straight "NO we don't substitute " What food place does NOT substitute any vegetable topping due to food allergies ?? Any place should be happy and willing to accommodate for a paying customer ! Especially if we aren't asking for much ! One simple substitute and for a food allergy !???!!! I have never been to a restaurant that told me "sorry, you can't have a drink" during your dinner until this evening. The boy at the front could not serve alcohol and told us those of age said they were too busy to serve beer. It was clear the kid at front was embarrassed and did not know what to do. So I ate my dinner sans a drink, not even an offer of a non alcoholic drink. My husband got so upset he went back up and offered to buy a pitcher to help since they were busy. We got our pitcher after dinner was over. The food was meh, the service mediocre minus the poor kid upfront. We won't be back. I've been ordering Pizza Man Dan's for a few years now. Their pizza and appetizers are great, but the thing I particularly love about them is that they're extremely consistent (something I tend to have issues with on all the other pizza places in Moorpark). I can always expect their pizza delivered by the time estimate they give me, and usually a good portion before. I ordered a cheese pizza and my son was confused because the pizza was not a perfect circle. Many pieces were sticking out of the circle being too long and some were too short. Also every piece looked individually cut in different shapes and sizes almost as if someone had taken each slice from a different pizza and created this one! We were having a party at Underwood Family Farms and the pizza place we called close by refused to deliver there even though they were in their delivery zone. The person who worked at underwood farms recommended Pizza Man Dans. They were able to accommodate the big order last minute, get it there on time, and the pizza was DELICIOUS. We were so grateful and would definitely recommend this place to anyone. We did both the thin and thick crusts. The kids loved the thin crust while most of the adults preferred the thick crust. In search of the best local pizza, I stopped by pizza man Dan's the other day and ordered the cheese sticks and a personal pizza with mushrooms, salami and pepperoni on the pan crust. I must have beaten the lunch rush because the restaurant was pretty empty. I liked the openness of the place, a clean ,full stocked salad bar and a big party was leaving as I walked in and the tables were cleaned right away. The woman at the register was helpful and nice and suggested the pan crust which I was shying away from. Prior to this, no matter where I had a pan pizza crust it was overly greasy and each bite was oily. The food obviously came out fast given the limited number of patrons. The cheese stick we're a bit of disappointment​. I was expecting something​ else but these were clearly 'freezer to fryer' cheese sticks. Luckily they redeemed themselves with a very tasty pizza on a great, not greasy pan crust. I will definitely go here again, but skip the cheese sticks next time. read more

When I ordered, the girl at the register seemed SO confused and lost when we ordered a sampler item....THEN I specifically made sure to give the flyer, and it was never put in under our order.
