My friend and I split a bottle of wine for only $15 so it was a steal because it was Bogle so it wasn't a completely terrible bottle of wine. Our kids ran around the whole time and it worked out. The teens that work there aren't the smartest and seem a bit confused about things but overall they were nice. The men's bathroom doesn't have changing tables in them. My husband went to change our son and he couldn't. So I had to do it in the women's. It's 2019, please put a changing table in the men's. But once the su saw things got busy no one helped or stepped up they just kinda made fun of the person. Our first time! Lunch on a Tuesday. Empty place! 1 person there! Place was a mess! We had to walk around looking for a clean table! The girl who came to take our order was making food when we arrived. When she came to the cashier she had these long discussing nails which is a big NO NO on a food place. Beer tap needed to be changed! We ordered two calzones. When they came in, they never bothered to separate the meat. It was all wrapped in the dough in big chunks which were uncooked. Gave two stars because I have been raving about the pizza and service for the last few months--but tonight was really disappointing. From a family of loyal Toppers pizza fanatics we tried Pizza Man Dans cause neither Toppers locations in Ventura County deliver to our home in Moorpark. I have ordered five times or so and each time food came quickly and tasted delicious. Rivaled Toppers quality! Normally one slip up doesn't warrant a negative review but tonight they really dropped the ball. I ordered around 6:30pm and was told 30-35 minutes. No problem. At 7:30pm I called to check the status. Young lady on the phone told me they shouldn't have said it would arrive that quickly since they were so busy. She apologized and said it would have been more like 60-70 minutes and the order was already on the way. The pies arrived about 10 minutes later. The driver was really nice and handed me two free slices of cake for the inconvenience (hmmm, unless he turned around to get the apology amenity the pizza was not already on the way...strike one). Nice gesture, we tipped nicely since it wasn't his fault. When we opened pizza one of two, the vegetarian, the pizza was luke warm and mushy. Must be undercooked and/or sat out awhile. Second pizza was supposed to be a pepperoni with jalapeños on half. There were raw jalapeños thrown onto half of a hot pepperoni pizza. Poor quality pizza, to say the least...strike two. All of this would have been forgivable. In fact we had already told our friends we were hosting that we needed to try again sometime because the pizza really is usually really tasty. I decided to call and tell the manager about our experience because any engaged manager would want to know--did not want anything free. After calling and very politely asking for a manager I was put on hold. Gal came back and said the manager was busy and she could help me. I told her I could wait as long as it took and didn't want any compensation and that he or she would want to hear about the poor experience we had. She said 'OK' and placed me on hold again. This Monday around 2pm I ordered over the phone for pickup and unfortunately the person taking my order missed a couple things. When I got there, I noticed what was wrong and the young woman working the register quickly offered to remake it and offered me a drink. The food tasted great. The potato wedges are amazing (I don't know many places that batter them this way) and so is the ranch. I keep hearing great things and I just never got around to it. I ordered the pizza lunch special. A two topping personal pizza, a one trip to the salad bar and a drink for $9. So worth it in my eyes. i ordered from this restaurant on sept 22 and in that order were mozzarella sticks. i specifically asked for WARM marinara to go with them and even ordered an extra one at an additional cost to me. the girl took my order and said NOTHING about their marinara. she also didn't tell me that if i wanted to tip the driver on my credit card that i used to pay her with over the phone that i'd have to do right then with her because the driver has no way to process a credit card tip. i had no cash on me when the driver showed up and wound up having to use cash my young child had to tip him. back to the marinara....when i pulled it out of the bag it was freezing. not cold from being in transit for any length of time, but cold like refrigerated. great. i had 2 freezing marinaras that i paid extra for one of and was never EVER told they came that way. obviously the girl never informed me of this when i specifically asked for it warm, otherwise i NEVER in a million years would've had it included, let alone PAY for an extra one. i literally despise cold marinara....especially with warm cheese sticks. i called to let them know and get refunded for the one i paid for. karen said she was refunding me the money on the 23rd but it never happened. i called again on oct. 2 to find out what was going on. spoke with mariana and she said she would write down the info again and have somebody call me. that also never happened. i called again today, oct 11, and spoke with may. i asked for a manager but may decided to go about it herself. she told me that they can't refund something they don't carry to which i explained again that nobody told me they didn't have warm marinara and there were nothing but opportunities for that to happen when i was ordering and that, again, i never would've ordered ANY marinara if i would've been given proper information. she also let me know that mariana didn't put anything in the notes that said i wanted someone to call me after my second d phone call to them, which i explained to may was not what i was told at all. mariana TOLD me that someone was going to call me. clearly the administration end of this company needs a LOT of work. may was not interested in helping me and conveniently wouldn't let me know when a manager would be in to fix this issue. is it a ton of money that i'm talking about? no. is it the principle of the matter?
