Pizza Mania has been my family's go to pizza place as long as I can remember. I grew up going to their original location in the same shopping center 2 doors over. They have only gotten better with time. We love their bread they give the table when you dine in. It is always hot and the pieces are not small. We also typically start with their Italian Salad, it comes with a generous amount Ham, Provolone, Salamai wraps and their dressing is always the perfect touch to go with it. I love their Itlania pizza, which is white sauce, grated cheese, garlic, tomatoes, and spinich. It a solid go to slice when they have those slice pies available. I sometimes add meatballs to it as well. Their plain cheese pizza is also stand by when I can not decide what to get. My dad enjoys their hot subs. He praises their chicken parmigiana and meatball parmigiana subs, when he isn't devouring their pasta with meatballs. We love that we feel like family here. The service is always amazing, our glasses are never empty, even when they are busy (and they get busy!!). They know their regulars by name and order as well. Their servers have always given us 110% and so has their kitchen. We have never been disappointed when eating here. read more

Great local Wesley Chapel pizza place. Once of the first that I had been to when I moved into the area and they've stuck around. I am from downstate New York and I crave good pizza. Nothing manufactured. Must have a good crust and the right cheesy flavor. Pizza Mania does a good job. Their pizza is not heavy like New York pizza, but I'll take it over any pizza chain around. The staff is friendly and they have plenty of menu options. Garlic knots too! They were open just before Hurricane Irma hit us and I was so thankful to not have to crash my canned tuna stash just yet! Best "last meal" before the storm I could have asked for!! read more

I'm a picky fan of New York style pizza and I'm on a mission to always know the best tasting, authentic style New York Pizza in my area and any cities that I travel to. Today I stopped by Pizza Mania in Wesley Chapel and pickup up a large pizza (half cheese and half pepperoni), along with a single order of garlic knots. Before I get to the food... The location is a little tricky to find if you are getting there using GPS. When you pull into the Public shopping center area, there are no directional signs and unless you know where to go its easy to drive around looking lost as you search for Pizza Mania. Let me save you the trouble! Pizza Mania is the right-most storefront of the Public strip mall section. When you pull in off of BBD, Publix is to your left but the entire section of strip mall is directly straight in front of you. Pizza Mania is on the far right end of that strip, but don't confuse the buildings as there is another strip mall section off to your right as you pull in. Parking is a little tricky too since they only have a couple of spots near the store and around the back. Your best bet if its a busy day is to pull in the parking lot across the road but directly in front of Pizza Mania. There isn't a clear crosswalk so use caution as you cross the street. This location is very nice, the building seems like its relatively newer, the shop itself is clean and spacious inside. If you want to dine-in you can easily do that with friends or family. Behind the counter is a friendly face taking your order and the experience I had as a first time customer was excellent. I was waited on right away, the people were friendly and as I wanted for my order I saw several locals come into the store and chat with the staff as if they were neighbors. It was really lovely to see that. I grabbed several photos of the menu since they seemed to be missing from the information about this restaurant. Hope that helps someone! They told me that would take 15-20 minutes for my order to be finished, but they delivered much faster than that. There were plenty of staff working when I was there, some of them just chatting, others working. It really seems like a good family business and I'm happy to not only find good food and a nice clean store, but also a friendly family running the place. On to the food! I dug into my garlic knots first since I don't generally care for them when they start to cool down. These were pretty good, nice flavor but slightly more mild and a bit dry IMHO. I'm spoiled by a really authentic italian pizzaria from my home-state of Maryland. That place always had the most amazing garlic knots, soaked in oils and cheese and were just the right texture and loaded with flavor. I've never found any other pizza place that had the same style garlic knots (ahhhh memories). Even so, these were probably in my top 3 picks for garlic knots. They come with some marinara sauce but it smelled exactly like spaghetti sauce and I'm not a fan so I skipped that. For the pizza, it was very good! The crust was very close to authentic NY style pizza. Lets be honest, you just won't find a true match to NY Pizza anywhere but in NY. But again, this is very high on my list, top 3 for sure. The cheese was high quality and perfectly melted, none of that reflective plastic looking cheap cheese. The pepperoni was a very good flavor and tasted great, which is a pleasant surprise for someone who's also picky about the taste of their pepperoni. Nothing beats pizza hut crispy pepperoni, but this was still good! The crust was nice and thin and had a nice color to it, cooked well and a good flavor. Some bubbles here and there which is nice! I'm also happy with the prices of the food, the order of 6 garlic knots was less than $3 and the large pizza is less than $12. You better a better pizza than many of the other big chains but for a few bucks less. The size is very good too, my pizza was curling up around the edges a little because it barely fit in the box. Overall I'm very happy with Pizza Mania and will be bringing my family here in the future. Cheers! read more

I just moved to Tampa from my and wanted to try Tampa Italian. I ordered spaghetti oglio (olive oil). I was really happy to find the dinner was better than what I was used to and close to grandmas recipe! The staff were friendly the restaurant is large enough to accomodate plenty. This is my go to Italian in Tampa. I finished the entire plate and it was a good size helping. Very good. read more

So disheartening to hear that the hard-working girls at this restaurant both tableside and at the cashier counter are not permitted to keep their own tips. One employee said people have complained on sites like this one but the management continues to keep their tips. The guy next to me tipped 20% on his take-out order and said he will never do that again since it doesn't go to the hard-working young men and women. Kids being picky eaters? Pizza is the answer! Our kids Both love pizza, our son had to have a gluten free crust with no cheese (super boring) but they totally worked with us to be sure that everyone was taken care of. :) I overheard many many people ordering the Philly Steak Sandwich, so I'll have to come back for that. I ordered the Calzone on this visit and my husband ordered the Margarita Pizza, which seems to be his favorite pizza to order. The crust was awesome. My favorite pizza place in... dare I say it... all of Tampa? Some may disagree but only my opinion counts for me... it's a no frills type pizza place, service is on point and friendly. I've done both dine-in and take out over the past few months and both have been great experiences. Don't expect a fancy selection of pizza with different organic cheeses and fancy meats, although they may have it, I usually stick to the few varieties I like... They remind me of a local pizza place in NYC, doesn't try to be anything more than it is and it's perfect just the way it is... Oh, and try their subs as well ! read more

Unimpressed. Start off by mentioning that their poorly formatted online menu had us thinking the pizza was significantly cheaper. Follow that with the owner's lack of grace in acknowledging that fault -no apology and no real response. A lousy ten percent discount would have gone far as a good will gesture. Further, an utter lack of personality. I've seen more gracious bums. We ordered two large pies, one plain and one pepperoni, and a Sicilian. These people take terrific pride in proclaiming themselves "from Italy to Jersey and Jersey to here." Well, lemme tell ya, if they were ever in Jersey they never tasted a real cheese pie, much less a Sicilian. The crust is utterly flavorless. The crust on the traditional is too thick. The cheese has an off taste. The sauce on both pies was excellent, but woman can't live on sauce alone. This pizza is still better than 85% of what you find for miles around. It's nearer to New York Pizza than most we've tried. Will I be back? Unlikely -mainly due to the owner's disinterest in his customers. read more

Official pizza snob here, originally from NY/NJ. Moved here five months ago and have tried every pizza place in the nearby vicinity. Pizza Mania is the closest to true NorthEast pizza. The crust is crispy, the sauce is perfect, the cheese is great and everything comes together great. Plus, they have mussels. No self respecting pizzeria should be without mussels. It's not a real pizzeria if they don't have them. Only downside is the name. It almost made me pass them by as a Hungry Howie's type of chain. Glad I gave it a shot. When in Wesley Chapel, Pizza Mania is my go to pizza place for dining w/ one of my BFF's. The pizza is always great, they keep our drinks refilled and the environment is always pleasant and friendly. The best pizza in the area, bar-none. The zeppolis are a treat, the subs are excellent -- just go. You'll love it.

Ordered two large pizzas and a salad. I was told it would be ready in 25 minutes, we were 30 minutes away so it was perfect timing. Got to the restaurant and the lady behind the register asked me no less than three times what I ordered. Ran back and forth several times and then approached me with, "I've got nothing for you." She started to ask me if I had picked it up already but reconsidered quickly. In an instant she did the calculus of the look on my face times the absurdity of the question and reconsidered. I left without a pizza, without a salad and without a "hey we screwed up...how could we make this right." All I got was a ton of attitude. This place used to be so good. read more

As anyone who's lived in New Tampa for more than a minute knows - there are countless pizza places in our area, lots of chains/franchises, lots of family businesses too. A few are terrible, a lot are just fine, and a few are exceptional. This one is exceptional. Unlike a lot of locations, this one is a real restaurant. More than 4 tables if you'd like to dine in. Though they still do a ton of take-out business. I'm terrible with names, so I can't tell you who they are, but most of the staff - kitchen as well as waitstaff - have been there a long time (always a good sign in my book). If you're a northeastern transplant that wants decent thin crust NY style - I doubt you'll have any complaints here (unless you're the type that just likes to complain). And they carry a delicious thick Sicilian style as well. Their pastas are great also, and they have terrific hot and cold sandwiches as well. Ironically, they also have one of the best philly sandwiches I've had in the state of Florida. When you combine their quality food, the variety of the menu, their pricing, and their service, you'd be hard pressed to do better than Pizza Mania! read more

Update 7-24ź2021: Haven't been here since my original review but 1 of my boys has been touting how great their pizza has been so Friday evening I gave this a shot. This is the problem with having kids grow up here instead of NY--they don't have a clue as to what great pizza should taste like (unless I make it at home). I ordered 1 pepperoni & 1 regular pie, well done (since pizzas from most places in this area are usually not cooked enough). Sure enough, I open the boxes & both pies are barely cooked to what should be a normal doneness for pizza & certainly NOT well done like I requested. The regular pie had so little sauce on it you couldn't see any red & lifting up the extra thick glob of cheese showed the same. They must have waved the dough over the sauce. The pepperoni pie did have sauce on it but most was spread out to the crust of the pie & not really much over the majority of the pizza. Also, the pepperoni pie had so much pepperoni that it was extra greasy which had leaked under the pie & made it even soggier than the regular pie. So, it's back to making my hand tossed pizzas at home in my Big Green Egg--tastes better than any pizza around, actually has sauce on it (also homemade & NOT a cooked sauce) & without a 1/4" glob of mozzarella on it. read more

I've been a costumer of this place for years, but today, picking up an order, I noticed that the two pizza makers were wearing their masks around their necks. I said something to the front desk lady and when she told them my opinion, one of the guys turned around and asked me (in Spanish) that if I have a problem, we can go outside to fix it. Excellent pizza. Garlic rolls are pretty good. I really like the meatball sandwich. One thing they do really well with their hot subs is the roll - crispy outside and soft inside so there's not a crunch and flaking crumbs like with so many other places. The roll can make or break a sub and they do it right. They have had a couple of inexperienced servers here and there but that's the nature of their restaurant style. No big deal. Great place to get pizza with the family and friends but also a place you can get a good sub or calzone. read more
